No workout today. We took Harvey to the vet to check over and get a shot and flea and tick stuff. He did really well, just calm and no barking. I am rather amazed really. Hopefully I can get in a workout tomorrow. I have a new training harness and double training leash that should arrive in the morning. We get our new bed tomorrow.

Jolie, that is terrible. I am glad the swelling is going down. Are they going to have to do it again?

Debbie, nice work on Gym Style Chest and Triceps. It is worrying when there is crunching. I get a pop and feel a jolt in one shoulder when I do the cat cow and roll out with the foam roller. It makes me wonder if I have a spur or something there.

Belinda, nice job on getting in STS 2 Body Parts Legs and dance practice before your appointment.

Roaelyn, good job on the push/pull workout.

This morning I did RAW Kickboxing #5 and had a great workout. I didn't use my egg weights this time because Pure Strength last week really made my back sore and knotty. It's crazy. Not painful or anything but very sore and knotty. I've massaged it with a gadget I have at home and foam rolled a bit. It is better today. That back work was a killer.

Workout was 40 minutes, burned 338 calories, did 4211 steps and HR was 143/179.

Jolie - I'm so sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your implant. That's horrible!! I hope the antibiotic kicks that infection out soon. Take it easy!!

Diane - I'm glad Harvey was good when you went to the vets. He sounds like a lovable little guy! I probably shouldn't have gone so heavy with the bench presses yesterday but 20's feel so light to me anymore. 12 reps is just too much, I should have just done 8 to 10 reps. Next time that is what I will do so I can stay heavy. Plus her rests are nothing in these earlier workouts but I did pause it quite a bit to rest a bit longer. I'm a bit sore today but not what I thought I'd be like.

Roselyn - Great job on the Caroline's workouts. I haven't even gone to her website, I should check it out. Her workouts are really good.

I went to the doctor at Urgent Care yesterday am and he said I looked great and did blood work on me. I have NO bacterial infection and there is NO need to be on antibiotics. He took me off of them and all the issues went away very quickly. I am surprised that oral surgeons do not do blood tests before they prescribe antibiotics! I look normal and feel great today. I have a checkup with the doctor today and then I am good to go, no tooth and $5,000 later but I survived! I am disappointed about all of this, but my son reminds me it is a small issue and to just roll with it. I guess he is right, at least I am in great health.

Today's workout was CL 261 Upper Balltastic and I had a great workout but I skipped the ab portion since I should not do anything like that for the next week or so. I lifted lite weights so I do not screw up my wound with high heart rate. It feels so good to workout again!

Debbie, great job on the workout today! Sorry to hear about your knot in the back area, I hate when that happens. I get it in my right shoulder, and it makes Chest Presses very difficult.

Diane Sue, I have to go back and read your posts on how you got your dog! He is so darn cute! You will love the company again of a furry friend. My pup will not eat this morning, looks like he ate something he should not have yesterday. I gave him some activated charcoal and that usually does the trick in a few hours or so. I hope you get a workout in today or soon.

Roselyn, nice workout with Caroline Girvan, I love her workouts. They help me build muscle like no other workout. I will go back to those soon myself!

Belinda, I hope you have a fantastic workout today if it is on the books for you.

I had my check up with the oral surgeon yesterday afternoon and everything looks great. No big workouts for 2 weeks but I do not do big workouts anymore :) He is going to try it again in 5 to 6 months if everything heals the way that it should, and he is going to pay for it! :) What a nice man he who stands by his work. Today I am taking the pup for a 3 mile walk this am and a 1.5 mile walk this pm. I feel great today and slept really well.

Belinda, great job with the STS Shoulder workout and the Belly dance!

This morning I did RAW Upper Sculpt/Lower Tone and I had an excellent workout.

This was 50 seconds on/10 off although toward the end Kelly shortened it. This is how it went:

3# dumbbells - did right side, then left:
Jabs
Hooks
Upper Cuts
Speed Bag
- These were hard with the 3# db

Standing legs using 7# ankle weights - did right side, then left:
Shin Blocks
Knee Pull
Back Kicks or Lifts


Above Jabs, hooks, upper cuts, speed bag but faster - first right then left side but I used my 1.5# egg weights since it was faster

Above Shin Blocks, Knee Pull, Back Kicks but faster - first right, then left side

Jab/Cross (each side separately) - 3# DB
Hook/Up (each side separately) - 3# DB

Leg work on the Floor, 7# ankle weights:
Glute Kicks
Alternate Fire Hydrants

Repeat

Above Jab/Cross and Hook/Ups but faster (used my 1.5# egg weights)

Workout was 51 minutes, burned 350 calories, did 2262 steps and HR was 132/176.

Fun but tough workout. My butt and hips are going to be screaming tomorrow.

Jolie - That is awesome that you don't have a bacterial infection. I'm glad you are feeling better. How scary! I'm glad to hear the surgeon will do it again at his expense, but really it's still your expense. I thought you were going to lose that $5,000 and I thought that was total BS. I'm glad he's going to try again in a few months. Were you allergic to the implant? That is weird how that happened.

Busy day yesterday. We got our new bed and my grandson came over to help get it put together and in the bedroom. My costochondritis has kicked up again and I was afraid to help with lifting things to get it in the room. I took care of cut up boxes and Styrofoam.
Yesterday I did LMR Functional Lower Body, 58 minutes, 236 calories, heart rate 107/133. I finished with CDorner Mobility skipping the meditation part, 25 minutes 80 calories. Total time 83 minutes, 316 calories.
Today I did CDorner vertical step #454, 45 minutes working around Harvey 45 minutes, heart rate 122/143 heart rate, 242 calories. I also did LMR Pilates Fusion premix that skips the fabric loop lower body stuff, 24 minutes, 65 calories. Total time 69 minutes, 307 calories. Harvey is starting to do what Gertie did and figure out what amount of space is safe. Mostly I had to avoid stepping on his tail.
I took Harvey out and had him chasing the ball for a while. Our 52nd anniversary is tomorrow. I doubt we will go out since we still have not received the wire cage to train him with. It would have to be drive through or pick up for food and Harvey go with us.

Jolie, I am glad to hear that you are feeling much better and not having to pay for the surgery again.

Debbie, nice work on Raw Upper Sculpt lower tone today. Enjoy your walks.

I think I might try a Cardio Coach workout tomorrow. Not sure yet but I would like to get back into those. Not sure my hamstrings and knees can take running anymore though.

I was looking back at 2008 to copy this workout so I didn't have to write it all out and I can't believe all the people that aren't on this check in anymore. Lora C, Toasty, Dallas, Teddygirl, SheWolf. WTH, where did they all go? Back then we did daily check-ins because there were so many people who checked in. Makes me sad that they stopped checking in.

Belinda - Great job with your mobility workout! How are you feeling lately?

Diane - What kind of bed did you get? We got a Sleep Number a couple of years ago and absolutely love it. Sorry that pain has come back, I wonder why? Hope it goes away soon. LOL on Harvey!! They learn to stay out of the way eventually. My cats are still stupid, though, and end up right under my feet sometimes. Crazy! Happy Anniversary!!

Today I had an excellent workout. I did CL #136 Upper Body Challenge with the Ball; workout was 1 hour. My Biceps are going to be feeling this workout tomorrow!

The doctors think the reason why I could not handle the implant this time is that it was too big and long and got too close to a nerve in my jawbone. Next time we will try a shorter one and hopefully that will work. Also, if you are allergic to Penicillin and do not take that type of antibiotic, your risk is higher to have it be a problem. Next time I am going to take a ZPac and hopefully not have too bad of an allergic reaction, if so, I will go to the doctors for assistance. I get hives and swelling in my throat and tongue, but it is not usually too horrible. A lot to think about and I will do my research for sure.

Debbie, great job on the workout and Happy Birthday! 59, right? I think we are the same age, or I am a year or so older. I remember you doing Cardio Coach workouts back in the day. I think the head guy died right? I remember all of those people that used to check in, I know some became personal trainers and some had injuries that needed surgery. Have a wonderful day.

Diane Sue, great job with the workout! What kind of bed did you get? Your dog sounds like he is keeping you busy, mine sure does! He is laying by me as I type licking my ankle :)

Debbie - I saw my Rheumatologist a few day‘s ago. I found a dark/purple skin lesion on my chest. I showed it to my Rheumatologist, he is concerned. In rare cases people get skin cancer from the meds I on.. It‘s better to get it checked out. I had a stomach bug, which is feeling much better. How are you feeling? Great job on your workout.

Today I did STS 2.0 Body Parts Biceps, 38 minutes, 136 calories, heart rate 103/136 followed by STS 2 Total Body Stretch, 23 minutes, 58 calories. Total time 61 minutes, 194 calories. We got the metal dog crate this afternoon and was able to put Havey in it and go out to dinner at this nice Italian restaurant we discovered in a residential and senior living area. I got salmon with mango sauce, roasted asparagus and orzo with a parmesan sauce. Finished with a shared piece of cheesecake. I sure got in my calories today. I love their breadsticks, and I never eat that stuff at home.
Trying to walk Harvey. My husband has to keep untangling him because he likes to cling and go between our legs and around us. So it is stop sit and go. I will be glad when I can take him by myself. But he is strong. I sent the new harness and double leash back. We just ended up with the leads all twisted as they did not pivot.

Debbie, I hope you had a nice birthday. Great job on Gym Style Back and Shoulders and the 20 minute treadmill walk. I used to do Cardio Coach workouts. I have some CD recordings that I forgot I had till I checked a holder cleaning out the cabinet recently. No treadmill anymore though. Lora from Ohio passed away from a fall. I had a check in on facebook and used to talk to her a lot. Dallas as well and I think she really got involved with her and her husband's crossfit business. Marietta if you remember her was also on a facebook group with us. I still play Words with friends with her. Nicole Potter used to be here as well. She went back into nursing and we talked on the phone a lot. My husband and I stopped in IN to visit with her and her husband when travelling. It has been a few years since I talked to her via texting.
The mattress my husband ordered is an EGO endorsed by the International Chiropractors Association. My back feels much better today. I have not slept on it much because I have stayed in the recliner by the dog rather than leave him alone. Really I slept on it two nights so far and my husband stayed up since he works nights till I would switch and go back to sleep in the recliner. Trying to walk Harvey. On my back, I think much is due to the space in areas, none spurs, and maybe that chest CT thing on T7 on the vertebrae showing compression there.

Jolie, Nice work on CL #136 Upper Body Challenge with the Ball today. That implant business sounds miserable. My husband had talked about getting that done instead of the bridge that he ended up getting. I would be researching too. The mattress is and EGO I mentioned to Debbie above. It is firmer than what we had. My dog is keeping me busy. He wants me to go outside with him. Boy, can he run the yard. I would never be able to chase him and catch him. Fortunately, he does not want us out of his sight.

Belinda, nice work on the zoom dance and STS 2 Body Parts back today. I hope the spot on your chest is not anything serious. I have my daughter check out skin things. There are some bad things some of those drugs can do. Good to get anything different checked out.

This morning I was going to try a Cardio Coach workout but then remembered the Mp3 player it's on is WAY dead. I think I'll load a couple of the shorter ones on my phone and try them next week and see how I do. Not sure I'll even enjoy them anymore. Today I just walked on my treadmill and had a good, sweaty workout.

Workout was 45 minutes, burned 375 calories, went 2.16 miles, did 5179 steps and HR was 140/165.

Then I stretched on my own for a few minutes.

Jolie - Good job with CL #136!! I sure hope they get your implant worked out, what a mess. Yes, I'm 59. Can't believe it. Everyone says I certainly don't look 59 so that makes me happy. I guess I'm happy that I met another year and hopefully all will go well. And yes, Sean - the guy who did Cardio Coach - died. I believe it was suicide which is crazy.

Belinda - Wow, that is scary. I sure hope you don't have skin cancer. I just don't understand why you are having so many issues. I feel bad for you but you just keep on going, which is fantastic!! I really admire you!

Diane - Harvey sounds like a handful. I don't think I could ever had a puppy or kitten again, they are too much work. He will get better, though, you'll see. He just needs some guidance. I didn't realize you kept in touch with all those people who used to be on our check in. That is cool. I do think I remember you telling me Lora passed, that is so sad. Do you know how she fell and died from it? That is crazy. I hope the mattress helps your back. The Sleep Number we have is really good for my hips and back. I keep it at 100% full so it's hard as a rock and that is best for me. I sleep really well on it. Great job with your biceps work yesterday!

I'm so glad it's Friday. I have been so tired the last couple of days. Hope I'm not coming down with something.
