Hardcore Fitness Maniacs March 2025

Hi,

Today was a walk outside and Functional Lower body.

Diane - I am so sorry about Gertie. She was lucky dog. I know you will always miss her. They are like our fur babies. I am glad you decided to adopt another dog. What kinda dog did you get? Aww…sorry you got hurt with the bag workout.

Debbie - great job with the butts & guts workout.

Good night everyone.

I am back! Sorry that I was gone all week, but I had to take some time off per the doctor because of my dental implant. I had bad swelling, nerve pain and did not feel well. However, I feel good now and he said I could start working out today, but I had to take it easy. I have an appointment today to see him just to make sure all is well. Wow, that was a rough road this time around and glad it is behind me. I tried a workout that I have not done in a long time and loved it. DC Fitt 30 minute Upper Body and Core workout. It is 30 exercises in 30 minutes in a no repeat fashion. I went lite with the weights because I am not supposed to get my heart rate up for this next week. I am just happy to lift weights again. I did walk every single day in the past 7 days so I have at least kept up with that type of exercise.

I will go back and read the posts from the past week later, but great job on the workouts everyone. I have two crowns on my teeth to go but the worst is behind me now. :) What an expensive nightmare my teeth have turned out to be! Oh well...

Have a wonderful day!

Hi,

Today I did LMR premix #1 Main Program + Bonus Workout - 68:43.

I had my infusion today, feeling very tired. No walk today.

Diane - Aww…Harvey is handsome. How are you doing? How is he adjusting?

Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow.

My husband was off today, and we took Harvey for a walk. He is not leash trained. He looks like he has some German shepherd in him. They did not know much about him other than he was found roaming with his sister. The lady that was fostering both dogs since she had found them kept the girl but, took him to the shelter because he chewed up her couch. I guess she put him in the bathroom when she left, and he opened the door and got out. He can open the doors with the handle you pull down. All of ours are like that. Today was much warmer so I spent time outside with him this morning. He is a chewer and last night I placed an order to get some chew bones and toys. I can't remember when dogs usually get over that. He chewed a hole right off in the dog mat I had and the blanket he bought with him from the shelter. He loves to cuddle and laid by the step bench this morning while I worked out so I had to adjust so I did not step on him. The step was basic step 3 minutes with 2 weight moves for 3 minutes throughout.

Belinda, nice job on LMR premix #1 Main program with the bonus workout. Is that the Total Body workout?
I hope that you can get some rest.

Debbie, sometimes sleep is much more needed than a workout.

Jolie, sorry you had so much pain with the dental work. Nice job on DC Fitt 30 minute Upper Body and Core workout.

Jolie - Wow, sorry you are having such a hard time with this implant. I remember mine was a breeze. Hopefully the rest of it will go good for you. Wow, DC Fitt, I forgot about her. She got me through my knee surgery with her sit-down workouts. I should check her out again. Great job with your workout and walking!

Roselyn - Great workout!

Diane - Harvey is adorable! I hope he doesn't tear apart your furniture! OMG! But I hope he is helping with easing your pain. I'm sure you will always miss Gertie.

Hi,

Today I did dance zoom class + STS 2 LB 2 + STS 2 TB stretch. I am all caught up with Cathe rotation.

Diane - is Harley young? They do like to chew. It could be he isn‘t used being in a house? He needs to learn not to chew everything up. I went through it with my dogs.He sounds like a cutie. Great job on your workout.

Debbie - I always liked Pure Strength. I haven‘t done it in a long time. Great job on Pure Strength Back, Biceps and Abs today. I did get a good night sleep last night, I feel much better today.

Roxie - great job on your walk and Yoga today.

Roselyn - great job on the sprint interval workout.

Jolie - I hope you doing well.

Good night.

No workout today. I was just getting started and my daughter called. They had just came back from a holiday vacation at the gulf. By the time I was done my husband was up and I needed to make him dinner before work. So, another try tomorrow. Harvey has been so sweet today other than biting off a piece of my big workout mat while I was on the phone. He knows the word no. He is an 8 month pup and in his second round of teething which could last till after a year. It just brings back memories of training Gertie who was stubborn at the start and chewed up all of her toys and bedding. I got a lot for Harvey. No housebreaking needed. He still has not figured out going through the doggie door on his own.
He is not a dog that barks much. I have only heard him give two barks since he has been here, even when the neighbor dogs are out barking.

Debbie, good job on Pure Strength Back Biceps and Abs. She does go through those pretty fast. I think Harvey will be fine. We just cannot leave him roaming the house at night or when we are gone. We put him in the crate last night. He did not like it. Can't coax him with treats, he knows what you are doing and will refuse the treats. He will eventually realize we do give treats just to give them too.

Roxie, good job on Tuesday's walk, Wednesday's Raw Yoga, Thursday's walk and TBTS Push Day, and today's Raw Shadow Boxing. Looks like a productive week.

Roselyn, nice work on the sprint interval with Michelle Briehler.

Belinda, great job catching up with dance zoom class, STS 2 Lower Body 2 + STS 2 Total Body Stretch. Havey is still a pup. They said he is around 8 months. I remember when Gertie went through all of the teething. Harvey has just hung close to me all day. I am not looking forward to getting him in the crate tonight by myself. When he starts to chew something, he does stop when I tell him no. I sure would not leave him alone for now. I have been through it with Gertie and my other dog I had named Mudd. We used to have Mudd a mix with lab in her along with Gertie. Mudd died from a tick born disease when she was 8. She was my companion all of the years my husband was out of country.

I have an update on my dental implant, and it is not good. I had to go back to the surgeon yesterday because the pain and swelling kicked up again and that is NOT good! He put me on two very powerful antibiotics because I obviously have an infection, and we have to get that under control. If there are not visible signs of improvement on Monday, he will take the implant out and have to start the whole process over again if my bone in my jaw heals properly. He does PRP Plasma treatments so my own Plasma can help heal the surgery cite. NO workouts for me in the near future till this is under control. I can walk my dog on easy walks and that is it or at least for the next week if all goes well. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I need some good Karma! I think I have had an underlying infection for a long time and this was the nail in the coffin. At least we found it! Those root canals that I had last year might be the cause of all of this because those teeth had infections and maybe it never went away?

Diane Sue, you got a new dog! You will be walking a lot and they are the best company! He is so cute.

Debbie, great job with the workouts lately, you are killing it. The workout I did the other day was fantastic, try it out!

Belinda, great job with the workouts!

Roselyn, nice job on Cathe's bootcamp, I have not done that in years!!!

Make it a great day.

Roselyn, nice work on Cathe Bootcamp workout.

Jolie, I am so sorry that you are having all of those problems with the dental implants. Praying healing for you. I hope they do not have to start over. I know you will be careful.

Evening,

I went for a walk outside today. That‘s it. I didn‘t sleep well last night, woke up with a upset stomach.

Diane - aww…he is still a puppy! He is so cute. Sorry about Mudd:( That is horrible. I wouldn‘t leave him home alone either, lol. The walks will tire him out. Great job on your workouts.

Jolie - sorry you are going through so much with your dental implants. I hope you feel better soon.

Roselyn - great job yesterday.

Good night.

This morning I did Gym Style Chest & Tri's. I had an excellent workout. I heard some crunching in my left shoulder so hoping nothing happens there. I feel great right now.

16/12/8/4/2 Push-Ups: I only did 12/10/8 reps - 72 is just insane
Bench Press: 25's - 3 sets/12 reps
Flies: 20's - 3 sets/12 reps
Inclined Bench Press: 25's - 2 sets/12 reps
Incline Flies: 20's - 2 sets/12 reps
12 reps is a killer, I much prefer - 10 rep

Close Grip Barbell Bench Press: 35# - 2 sets/10 reps
Dips: Skipped
Dumbbell Lying Extension: 12's - 2 sets/8 reps (failed at 6 reps)
Seated Overhead Press: 20# – 2 sets/12 reps (failed at 10 and 8 reps)
Cross Body Extensions: 10# - 2 sets/12 reps
Cross Body Extensions w/Band: I did band press-downs
Kickbacks: 8# - 2 sets/20 reps
Kickbacks w/Band: Skipped

I took longer rests than Cathe had. That is the only complaint I have of these earlier workouts - she doesn't rest enough.

Workout was 53 minutes, burned 239 calories, HR was 105/143.

No time for personals, but Diane - Harvey is SO CUTE!!! Wow on the chewing, that's not good!

Have a great day everyone!

Update on my tooth. Woke up Sunday morning and called my surgeon's answering service and got to speak to him at 6am. I was not doing well. He went immediately to the office and I met him there and he took the implant out. My face was so swollen and my blood pressure was high. It took no time at all to take it out and the pressure went away yesterday. Today I woke up and could barely open my jaw, it clicked but now I am able to open and close it no problem. My lower jaw is till swollen a little and I have some pain due to the hole in my bone. We did not bone graft it or put my own plasma platelets in it because it just wants it to heal on its own. Boy, was that a scare! I will walk the pup today for a short walk and lay low to recover. I am on an antibiotic for the new few days and hopefully that kicks out the infection. Fingers crossed, what a nightmare this has been this time around.

Great job with the workouts everyone.
