Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Hotties 11/21

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Gonna either do Extended Low Max or Gym Style Legs. Just can't decide.

I have to take my son's car down for an oil change and get these bathrooms cleaned too.

Teddygirl,

Scrambled Eggs??? :D:p:eek:;)

I am so sore from GS Legs and that ab workout I did yesterday I can hardly move today. My calves are screaming at me. I decided since this was my last cardio until Dec. 2nd that I would just do a quick one and get it over with. I chose Cardio Coach #3. Did very well with it considering my calves are killing me. Tomorrow is shoulders and then I'm done until Dec. 1st. :woohoo:

Cardio Stats:
35 minutes
26 minutes in zone
206 calories burned
2.1 miles travelled

Not bad for such a short workout.

Hope you all have a great day! It's snowing here! I got lots of running around to do so I'll catch you all later!

Dallys: Nice workouts yourself, you kicked some butt:D How does P90+ compare to P90X?

Diane: Glad you are feeling better and your report was good:):):)

Suz: Your leg workout was awesome! Bulgarian Split Squats with #50:eek: you go girl. Can you walk today? lol

Hermia: LOL I’m with Suz I get very frustrated. Hm…..maybe I should revisit Tracey and Amy workouts. Nice Job

Toasty: SE is me favorite cardio, I haven’t done this w/o in awhile I had to hit pause a few times:rolleyes: and since my leg day w/o is approaching. I did NOT lift any weights. GS legs nice choice:D

Happy Friday Maniacs! This morning I did Jari Love's Slim and Lean followed by TBS Shoulder drills. Feeling oh-so-fine this morning! :D

Debbie- Great going on the cardio. I'm sure you are looking forward to your week off.

Toasty- Gym Styles it is then.;)

Teddy- The + is just as good as the X, maybe a titch more fun even...You need it!:p

Ok...must get to work now. Yeah it's Friday so I'll make it through!

This morning I jogged on the treadmill at about a 5 mph pace for 3 miles and burned 325 calories, then I did Iron Core 1 kettlebell workout and Amy's Step Challenge 3 abs #1 with the kettlebells. Then finished off with some of those shoulder moves from Total Body Solutions. Total calories burned today was 777 and 50% fat. Workout was 1hr and 44 minutes..
During the iron core I jogged in place during the breaks. I think this is a good starter because the moves are not so fast. I started with 15# and went up till on the 3rd circuit I was using 20 and 25 lb kettlebells. I stuck with the 15# for the 1 arm overhead press. Didn't want to put my shoulder back where it was. By the time I came back from school my glutes were sore so I guess the workout did something:)

Morning Maniacs and Happy Friday:)

I just ordered Gym Style legs (along with back/shoulder/biceps and chest/tricep) and I also took a look at the ab workout in Oxygen mag (will try it this weekend) If these workouts made you sore Debbie then they most cetainly must be effective!

Thinking I will do a full body workout today...bbl to post results.

Good morning,

Sad day on our campus. One of our student athletes (soccer player) was found dead in her dorm room this morning. Rumor has it that it was suicide, but when her roommate tried to wake her this morning she couldn't. So I'm not sure. Two weeks ago her best friend committed suicide at another college. Our little gal was athlete of the year at her high school. So much going on for her. I just saw her smiling little face in the training room this week. I feel so awful for her parents. And right before Thanksgiving just makes it even worse, wouldn't it? Not being a parent I wouldn't know, but I would think you would dread Thanksgiving forever and ever. Needless to say I'm taking another day off from getting my shoulder stretched today as they are all pretty tied up with the students today. Bless their little hearts.

Okay, on to my workout.

Shoulders & Triceps & Cardio Coach 8

Repeated my 6r set b/c that one hurt my shoulder and I worried about my form so I decided to do it over and do one arm at a time the second time around.

Overhead Tricep Extension
25# 15/15/15

Pulldowns - Just wanted to throw this in to help reach my pullup goal
90# 8/8/8/8

Cardio Coach #8: 58 minutes

My workout was right at 2 hours. I added in the overhead extensions and the pulldowns since I had a little extra time (I didn't really, but...). I have to always make myself keep moving and not take too long in between sets. I always act like how it would be if I were at a gym, knowing that I couldn't take that long or I'd get dirty looks.

Teddygirl - No, my legs aren't really sore from my leg workout. I think they're getting used to it. Hmmm... Nice workout. Whenever Diane Sue does the scrambled eggs one it would make me want some. But now that I eat scrambled egg whites every morning I'm over that! :)

Debbie - Don't you just love that feeling of being so sore??? I know I do! Way to go!!!

Char - I wish you would come and clean my bathrooms! Actually only my master bathroom needs it right now.

Dallys - You're workouts are kicking some major butt. How was your bike ride?

Diane Sue - I'm loving these workouts that are making everybody sore within hours! Sounds like the kettlebells are going to be good, huh?

Sonya - I'm with you...I'm wondering if I have Gym Style Legs. If not I might have to buy it and add it in sometimes on my second leg day of the week! My upper body is sore in many places right now but I have no idea from what. So hard to tell.

Sonya: You are going too absolutely loooooooooovvvvvvvvvvveeeee GS, you just wait;):D

Suz: That’s sad, I can’t even comment right now. I had an attack, on my home. But, after looking at your workout, I had to give you shout out. Nicely done ^5^5and ^^^^^55555

I will talk you guys later tonight or either tomorrow, don't worry about me, just a sinus attack, head is killing me, left eye is bloody red, my nose wont stop running and I can't stop coughing, it came from NO were:mad::(

Hey Maniacs!!!

Just finished GS Legs. Gonna use Debbie's cheat sheet since we did same workout, but different weights...

LEGS
Squats:
130# - 3 sets/16 reps
***Last set had low ends.

Front Lunges:
20's - 2 sets/8 reps
(did not do the bonuses)

Rear Lunges:
15's - Lots of different counts and reps
(seriously burned) lol

Plie Squats:
60# - 2 sets/16 reps/pulses
(Did off smith machine. Felt too light in beginning. Second set kicked in to prove wrong)

Leg Press w/Band:
Purple band - 2 sets/15 reps each let
***Used 5 risers. Second set was just pure murder!

Deadlifts:
110# - 2 sets/16 reps
Just paused video and did on my own..stiff leg style. Always do mine stiff leg.

Slow Motion Lunges:
12's - 2 sets or 4

Skipped Calf Raises..been doing alot of plyo's and that is the only thing that will bring my calves out anyways. I have bird calves. lol

I am gonna do ab work before 3.

Suz- I"m so sorry to hear about that girl at your school. Yesterday one of my customers today told me that her grand daughter killed herself 2 weeks ago. She was 24 yrs. old, in college, a good girl, got straight A's, the whole package for a happy successful life. This also happened to our friends son a few years ago (just horrible, still think about it all the time). What makes kids (and they aren't really even kids, but young adults) these days think that this is the easy way out of hurt and pain? I just don't understand it anymore. It scares me to death.

Teddy
- I'm sorry you had that sinus attack. Doesn't sound fun at all. Hope you feel better soon.

Sonya-
Yep, you will like Gym Styles, especially the leg workout. I think it's one of Cathe's best.

Diane Sue- Sounds like you had fun with the KB's

Toasty- Your legs are gonna be toasty after that!

Teddygirl - Thanks! I hope you feel better.

Char - You have some strong legs!!!!! Man oh man - I wish I could squat 130#!!! Sheesh! Nice workout!

I did not want to get out of bed this morning. It wasn't so much that I didn't want to work out, but rather that I just wanted more sleep So I made a compromise with myself and got up ....today's workout was not about reaching goals, setting new records, building more muscle, or going all out.... it was simply about moving when I did not feel like it.

So I lowered all the weights and it went like this....

Superset A
Incline DB Chest Press
6/6/6 - 35#
One Arm Row
6/6/6 - 42's

Superset B
Chin Ups
6/6/6
DB Bench Press
8/8/8 - 35's

Superset C
Close Grip Press
25 - 50#
15 - 45# ***At this point I switched over to doing Lying Tricep extensions because the front of my shoulders were burning too bad.***
Tricep Lying Extension
15 - 15's
25 - 12's
Rear Delt Raise
10/10/10 - 10's

Must have done something right even though I lowered the weights, because when I went to fill out my log sheet my arm was shaking. Then did BM2 Timesaver Cardio Premix.

Suz...how devastating! I just can't fathom when young people commit suicide as if their life won't get any better then that. They don't even give it a chance. It is even more troublesome when it is individulas who appear to have everything going for them with such a bright future ahead of them. My heart goes out to the family.

Char...when you do plyometrics is it from P90X or a different workout?

Linda...that was me yesterday, I just didn't feel like giving it much effort. When I was done my headache was gone and I had more energy!

Teddy...take care of yourself!

Diane Sue...glad to see your back in the swing of things!

Okay, now I'm super anxious to get my new dvds! :)

Linda,

Some workout for someone that didn't want to move. Way to go!;)

Sonya,

Yup, P90X! Love it!

Suz,

Oh yeah...I am really not in the mood to clean anymore for the moment....sorry:p:eek:;):D Looks like you'll have to do it. hehe

Suz, sorry to hear about that girl. I'm sure her family and friends are devestated. I think to lose a child is probably the worst thing possible, and to have it be suicide just adds to the confusion.

You are all doing awesome. I'm going on five and a half hours of sleep now, and it's my longest teaching day. Yesterday I did lots of cooking so didn't get to my prep till late, then went out with bf and still had to finish stuff when I got back. When I get home from round two of work it will probably just be some yoga.

Today was PUB. I went lighter on shoulders b/c they were popping. Elbows were too on triceps but they never bother me afterwards - shoulders will! Tomorrow, I will do the ab portion when my arms aren't so tired! Was going to do some cardio but work went on longer than expected. Darned responsibilities!!

Suz - I hate to hear stories like that. So very tragically sad. I'm sorry your school has to go through that. That sort of thing seems to put a dark cloud on everyone. Prayers to her family and friends, and to you too.

Regarding lunges, if anybody is still reading this...I use the topper to my high step for the forward foot. It helps my knees a lot, and also gets in there good too.

I know some of you have done P90x. I keep considering it and if I had known STS would be so long coming, I probably would have given it a try! I still think about it...

Happy weekend to all :)

Shana - Don't you hate that when your arms are so tired that you can't finish other parts of your workouts? That happens to me on leg days. My arms are so tired from holding some of the weights. I'm never sure what muscles are more worn out in the end! Hey - I recently joined Facebook. I really have no idea how to use it. I have quite a mess really. My friends in Ft. Collins kept telling me all about it so I finally joined. I wish there was somewhere I could go read about it all so I knew what I was doing. My friends have a ton of friends on there and I have like 7 or something. I'm such a loser! :p Thanks for your prayers, by the way. Her family and friends will sure need it. When something like that happens the kids all take it SO hard.

Hermia - GET SOME SLEEP!!! You're crazy! In my last job when I used to travel all the time I was forever in sleep deprivation mode and forever had jet lag. I was always sick too. And I'm one who never gets sick. It was rough! It seems like you lack sleep a lot from your job. Take care of yourself.

Sonya - I just can't help but wonder if these kids think about the finality of it all, you know? It just makes me so sad for them and their family. Especially now. :(

Dallys - We had some friends...same thing with their son a few years ago. Two days before Thanksgiving. :( He did it at our other friends' house while they were away and he was dog sitting. Just awful for everyone involved.

Okay, enough of that. We must not talk about it anymore. It's too depressing. Tomorrow I share happy news.
