Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for November 2014

WD

Cathlete
I posted this on October and realized we needed to start November so am copying and pasting it here.

Today I did Kelly Coffey Slim Sculpting kettlebell workout doing the both workout premix that is 70 minutes, and burned 463 calories. I then did Tai Cheng week 10 day 1 which was 50 minutes. They will be longer these last 4 weeks. This week it has some more advanced stretches added to the final phase of neural reboot and all week I will be doing sequence one and two of the tai chi using the band and weighted gloves. By week 12 I will be doing all three sequences together. This made my workout time long at 2 hrs. I may need to make some of the cardio and weights shorter.

Roselyn, Piyo is not a huge calorie burner but, I like it. It also has one of the low impact turbo fire workouts on one of the dvds. I have the package that includes the two strength dvds; stong legs and full body blast. These two use the gliding discs that came with my package. I also got the Hardcore on the floor by using my Beachbody Coach. The core work on these is good. These were nice for taking with me and not needing a bunch of equipment. I think my favorites are the two gliding disc ones,, both core, and drench. They are a nice change and help give my knees a bit of a break.

I started one for November already, Diane Sue, but we can use this one.

Today I did Yoga Strength again. I needed it, my body is really tight again for some reason. I like this workout because you can follow it by just listning to Karen. She's a great instructor.

Today I did X10 Step with the warm up, 21 minutes, All out low impact hiit step, 12 minutes, and finished with Tabatasice tabatas 3 and 4 and stretch. I then did Tai Cheng week 10 day 2. The doctors office called and changed my Friday appointment for the Dexascan to a week from Friday:( Apparently the doctors office is lagging on getting the order out to them.

Debbie, I guess I missed the one you started. Sorry:oops: ! I just saw Roselyn's post on Octobers and wondered where you were.

Today I decided to do Pyramid Upper Body and had a great workout. This is what I did:

Chest Flies and Press - 12's/15's/20's/15's/12's (12/10/8/10/12 reps)

Pullovers - 12#/15#/20# (did not go back down, this one bothers my upper back)
Double Arm Row - 12's/15's/20's (did not go back down, same as above)

Rear Flies/Lateral Raise/Front Raise - 3's/5's/8's/5's/3's (12/10/8/10/12 reps)

Kicbacks - 3's/5's/8's/5's/3's (12/10/8/10/12 reps)
Overhead Press - 10#/12#/15#/12#/10# (12/10/8/10/12 reps)

Hammer/Traditional Curls - 8's/10's/12's/10's/8's (12/10/8/10/12 reps)

Hope you all have great workouts!!!

Today I spent way too much time deciding what to do. I need to come up with a plan but, I am still working around the neck pain. I really think it has something to do with me and STS. I started having the spasms and pain over 3 weeks and that is what I was doing. I guess something in it aggravated things. So, I started with the warm up and a bit of one Urban Rebounding workout(my newest with Greg Cook) and it went from the rebounder to pull ups. No pull up bar here. I then put in Urban Rebounding Extreme Patrick Goudeau and did it till he started jumping off the sides and back on. I had no space since I was working in the laundry room. Gave that up at 18 minutes. I then did Flex Train 56 minutes and finished with Tai Cheng week 10 day 3, 50 minutes. I almost didn't do Tai Cheng either. Just not in the mood and after 10 weeks of pretty much the same with some add ons I was just not feeling very motivated. Must be the junk food I ate yesterday  Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I am on track today with an Apple Pie Smoothie with Grass Fed Whey from 21 Day sugar detox, and I have Chicken in the slow cooker for dinner. Anyway I did manage to burn 474 calories this morning.

Debbie, nice work.

I didn't have time to post this morning. I got on my treadmill and did a fast paced walk on a 2% incline for 40 minutes. Had a pretty good workout and it went by fairly fast.

Please say a prayer for my little kitty Spaz. He's not been well and I think we are going to take him to the vets tomorrow. He isn't eating and throws up quite often. The throwing up has been happening pretty much since we got him, but it comes and goes. What worries me is he isn't eating and usually nothing stops him from eating.

Hope you all have a great day and workouts!

Today I did Hard Strikes and Burn Sets Biceps and Triceps. I finished off with Tai Cheng week 10 day 4. Took my granddaughter to her orthodontist to fix a wire on her braces that came loose. Tomorrow I have brunch with a friend and am taking care of my 3 year old grandson so we will see how I do getting the workout in.

Debbie, sorry to hear about your kitty. Is this the younger one that I remember you getting? Will send out prayers for it.

Saturday I did Two The Max Lower Impact Mix and Tai Cheng week 10 day 5. I did not get in Tai Cheng today. Woke many times last night and was pretty sick to the stomach all day. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Sorry I haven't checked in, things have been crazy. My kitty is doing well, we ended up not taking him to the vets because he seems to be fine, now. I don't know why he throws up so much but he hasn't now since last Wednesday night. We think he ate something that he should have again. I wish he'd stop doing that.

No workout for me today since I'm getting my knee looked at. I'll update you all tomorrow about what happened. Please send me good wishes.

Thanks everyone!!!!!

This morning I did Low Impact Circuit, 70 minutes, 361 calories. I then did Tai Cheng week 11 day 1, 50 minutes, 158 calories. Total time 2 hrs and calories burned 516.

Debbie, I hope things went well for you at your appointment today. I am also glad that your kitty is doing better.

My knee appointment went well. They took x-rays and there is nothing wrong with the actual knee but the underneath of the knee is wearing out. He said it might need a cortizone shot or gel put inside in the future but right now he is giving me an anti-inflammatory and he hopes that eases the pain. So we'll see. I'm glad it isn't anything worse.

I didn't workout today because now I have a sinus thing going on and I'm dizzy and have a terrible headache. This happened to me last year at this time so I have no idea what is bothering me since nothing is blooming. I'm hoping to get a workout in tomorrow,

Today I just did Tai Cheng week 11 day 2, 51 minutes. Still not feeling well and I coughed all night till my ribs are sore. Maybe tomorrow.

Debbie, that is good news. The cortisone shot should help. They gave me an injection a couple months after surgery and my knee felt really good. It wore off though and I refuse to head in for multiple injections. I don't want to push beyond what my knee is capable of. He did tell me to come back in if I felt I needed more.

Today I did X10 Fat Blasting Circuit, Les Mills Pump and Burn, and finished with Tai Cheng week 11 day 3 phase 4 Neural Reboot. I will do the Tai Chi portion tomorrow. Total time was 95 minutes/

Roselyn, it is 27 degrees high right now and windy.

Today I did XTrain Cardio Leg Blast with Core#2 68 minutes, 415 calories. I then did Tai Cheng week 11 Day 3 tai chi segments, 19 minutes, 42 calories. Workout was 87 minutes, 457 calories. Not sure if I will do anything tomorrow as I have to be out for my dexa scan and mammogram first thing.

Sorry no check-in. I've been under the weather and not feeling much like working out. I think it's just a sinus infection. I bought Claritin and that is helping quite a bit. I'll be back at it on Monday. This is not a good time of the year to be missing workouts. :(

It's cold here, only in the 20's and we got our first snow fall yesterday. Oy.... And so it begins.
