Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for March

This morning it took a bit to get started. I had a small bowl of Brazilian Chicken Curry from Paleo OMG and waited a bit to get going. I then did Chalean Extreme Intervals from the Accelerated fat burning set, 42 minutes, 203 calories. I then did X Train Burn Sets, triceps, biceps, back and stretch, 48 minutes, 198 calories. I finished off with TRX TV Flow Mobility, 39 minutes (much longer than I remember) . I am not sure that I like this as much as the Essential Flexibility that I have on DVD. Doing up dog and down dog with feet elevated is somewhat difficult. As well as other yoga poses. Of course there are modifiers but, I am not so good at following them. This one does require a lot of balance and I just like the stretching better in the Essential Flexibility. Total calories today was 506.

Debbie, it seems every time I am pain free and do one of the workouts that I am sure was the cause of pain, I get to remember the pain. I am getting better at not doing them. Tony Horton does lots of pull ups, particularly in P90X+ and P90X3. I am not sorry I bought P90X3 though because of the pilates, yoga, and dynamix. Also the legs and balance stuff are good. I always feel if I return to the workouts it was not a waste of money.

Today I did Body Beast - Build: Shoulders. I like this workout. I wonder why they didn't make a Tempo workout for Shoulders and Legs? That's sort of weird. Or let me guess, there were two Tempo workouts I was supposed to order. I hope not.

I then got on my treadmill and walked a mile.

Roselyn - No. How was it? I like my treadmill workouts, I'm not much for floor cardio anymore.

Have great workouts everyone!!!

Today I did To The Max, 55 minutes, 370 calories, HR average 131/ max 163. I then did Lean Legs abs timesaver 1 compound legs and core, 37 minutes, 184 calories. Total time was 91 minutes, calories burned 554.

Debbie, I am not sure why the did not make a Tempo workout for legs. Maybe they thought you get some shoulders with the pull ups and pullovers.

Today was Body Beast - Tempo: Chest & Tri's. Wow, that was some workout. Again, I'm not to fond of slow rep workouts, but I really felt this. My Chest and Tri's are fried. I'm glad there aren't pushups in these workouts. Cathe seems to be obsessed with pushups. There are ab workouts intermixed in this workout and those were ok, I definitely like Cathe's ab workouts better, they are more women friendly.

Diane Sue - There isn't a Tempo Shoulders either but maybe you're right - shoulders are worked in almost every move. I'm glad there isn't a Tempo Shoulders workout, though, that wouldbe really hard for me to do.

Debbie, that was the tempo workout that liked the best. Slow reps can be good once in n awhile to chanel things up.

No workout. Made Paleo double chocolate waffles from Paleo OMG for myself and granddaughter this morning.

I am on my third week of Body Beast. I did Build: Back & Biceps. Had a good workout. I used about the same weights as I did last week.

Hope you all have a great day and workouts!!! Roselyn, let me know how you liked Tempo.

It took a bit to get started today. No workouts for the last 3 days. I woke with aches all over and terrible neck pain. I had a hard time sleeping. Also have come down with a cold or something. Anyway I warmed up a bit with P90X2 Recovery and mobility first 15 minutes which is pretty much mobility stuff, then went on to do Kelly Coffey Slim Sculpting kettlebell workout premix both workouts with no overhead stuff, 5inutes, 327 calories. I finished off with Kelly's Athletic Conditioning Stretch 25 minutes, and added a bit of TRX shoulder opening stuff WOrkout was 95 minutes and calories burned 409. I was glad the no overhead left out the get ups today. I was really dreading that one.

Debbie, it sounds like you are doing good with the Body Beast workouts. Yes, you would probably want more shoulders.

Roselyn, slow once in awhile is good. It really is easier to keep good form going slower.

Today I did Cardio Coach #6 with Candace and did Challenge 1, 2 and 4. I hate challenge 3 so I always skip it. Had a good workout.

50 minutes total, ran 3 miles, burned 350 calories.

Today I did Ripped With Hiit Low Impact Hiit 2 Extreme Low Impact Hiit mix 2, workout 2 and 1, 48 minutes, 314 calories. I then did RIpped With Hiit Abs 1, 10 minutes, 41 calories and finished with 26 minutes of TRX Essential Flexibility, 52 calories. Total time was 84 minutes ad calories burned 407.

Today was Body Beast Build: Shoulders. I really like this shoulder workout. I don't usually care to work my shoulders, but this one makes me want to work them. Had a good workout and upped my weights a bit. Then I got on my treadmill and walked a mile.

Today I did 4 Day Split Highter Intensity Step premix cardio only, 30 minutes, 163 calories. I then did Ripped with Hiit Hit it Lift it Legs mix 1 strength only adding 80 reps of calf raises, 34 minutes, 172 calories. I finished off with Z Cut Power Yoga, plyo/balance series, Warrior series, and cool down, 18 minutes, 65 calories. Total time was 81 minutes and calories burned 400 calories.

Today I did Body Beast - Build: Chest & Tri's. I went up with my weights and really felt it. I like this workout. I also did the Beast Abs but only did half of it because I ran out of time. What I did I liked. Good exercises.

Roselyn - I forgot to comment on your Tempo workout - it is hard to go slow but it's good for a change up I guess. I get bored with slow counts really fast. I do like how they go from 6/6 count, then to 6/3 count then to 3/3 count. That really doesn't make it so bad.

Today I did Turbo Fire Hiit 25, 26 minutes, 179 calories. I then did Ripped with Hiit Hit it Back, shoulders, biceps, mix 2 no shoulders, 44 minutes, 192 calories. I finished with P90X 3 Yoga, 30 minutes, 81 calories. Total time was 99 minutes and calories 452.

Today I did Cardio Coach #3. I was supposed to do Build: Legs but my right knee is bugging me. I thought I'd skip that this week. I had a great workout, though. I was soaked when I got done.

Workout was 40 minutes, ran 2.25 miles and burned about 266 calories. My calorie burns seem really low, not sure why? Oh well.

Have a great day everyone!!!
