June already!! Woo hoo!!! We are having some fabulous weather here, although we need rain badly. But temps in the upper 80's with no humidity. It is unheard of here.

This morning I did another CDorner Mobility workout. This one was called 30 Minute Full Body Mobility and was from 3 weeks ago. She uses a pillow in this one and I really loved it. I was able to do the kneeling portions using the pillow. Duh, not sure why I never thought to do that!! This was a really good yoga flow type workout but then had some stretching as well. Will be one of my go-to's for sure. Only thing is she is talking so much to her viewers that it was really getting annoying. I can't stand that, I wish she'd just do the workout. I don't mind comments here and there, but they were talking about something with "James" that showed up in her email or on her computer. This went on for most of the workout. OMG. Who cares? She has excellent mobility workouts and this girl is very talented, but the yammering needs to just stop.

Anyways, workout was 30 minutes, only burned 86 calories, and HR average was 81. LOL.

Diane - IMax 4 is an older workout isn't it or did that come with the new STS? Great job, I haven't done one of those workouts in ages. I might try Chris's Tina Turner workout but probably not until Monday or Tuesday. I am going to do another mobility workout tomorrow. I can't believe what a difference it is making in my body. I need to keep adding those in during the week. I love them, too.

Belinda - Figures, I wait until the last minute. Maybe I'll wait until she has a sale but I never know when that happens. Oh well. I don't think I need more workouts, but those sound so good.

Gotta go, hope you all have a wonderful day!

Debbie - she probably will have a Black Friday sale. You always can check them out On Demand. Look over the guide, it will give you an idea what to expect. I still like the workouts. They are slow pace. I really didn't needed more workouts, I figure I don't spent any money on a gym membership or other dvd's. I got a good price on the presale.

Belinda nice work on two walks and STS 2 yoga.

Debbie, I will have to look at which mobility that was. I am sure I probably have done it. She is creative with the mobility work outs and it has been great for me. I do most of them, but sometimes not the ones that are cardio yoga just because they are not comfortable if I have achy knees going through the movements. I usually find something to sit on to raise me up a bit off the floor in ones where you sit cross legged for extended time. I purchased one of those balance discs and sit on it at times. Kneeling I like my mat folded up and I have the puzzle mats, There was one of the workouts she was having a discussion about some guy that said he wanted the girls to bounce on the stability balls for him. Then some were guessing who it was. Most of the time the chatter does not bother me, but when you return to a specific workout the conversation starts getting old. I like to write down my yoga as calories because I do spend some calories moving.
I Max 4 is from her Step Boss workouts. Cathe did PHA 3, Step Sync, and I Max 4. These are low impact workouts. Although I Max 4 has a to the step donkey kick and side to side squat thrust off the ends of the step. I subbed on the kick because it hurts my toes when my feet hit the floor. It is not a real old set. I like them a lot.

Jolie, that is nice that you found some ladies to walk with. That is how I want to be as I get older. I bet you will feel great when your recovery week is all over. Enjoy the walks.

Roselyn, nice work.

Today I did Michelle 40 min Compound Total Body Strength & Cardio w/5 min. Core. This one of my faves. Its a challenge. 2 circuits of 7 moves. Circuit 1 repeated 3x. Circuit 2 repeated 2x. It was 83 degrees in my workout room but I powered through :p Lots of water helps. I was going to do STS2.0 Tri Sets, but I wanted something a little quicker today and some cardio. I will do that on Saturday when its cooler and I have better concentration.

Debbie, we are having the same weather. I'm not complaining. We will need rain soon and I don't think there's any in sight. I think Chris would have over 100,000 subscribers if she wasn't so goofy and talkative. I takes a long time for her to get to the workout and I just don't want to waste time listening to her talk to everyone. Glad you are finding mobility workouts helpful. I love them, especially yoga fusion. That is one of the reasons that I like working out after work, I can take time to stretch.

Diane, I like IMax 4. I think its fun. I dont have Step Sync. Do you like that one? CDorner does have great stretches. I usually check hers out first.

Belinda & Jolie, good walks!

I will walk the dog with DH when it's dark and has cooled off.

Tomorrow will be a stretch and a nighttime walk.

Cam, nice work today with Michelle Compound Total Body Strength and Cardio w/ core. It gets pretty warm in my workout room too. I need to get a fan. I gave my husband mine for work and he told me to get another one. I will eventually because it is going to get hotter. We have nice weather except it just periodically clouds up and rain. I sprayed my yard this afternoon and a cloud came over and we had a downpour a couple of hours afterward. I really like Step Sync, I have done it more than I Max 4.
I don't do Chris workouts live very often. I just forward fast to the workout. I like it when she has workouts that identifies the chaptering. She only has a few like that, but it makes it easy to use portions of the workouts as add ons.

This morning I walked on my treadmill since I haven't gotten many steps in this week. I walked for 25 minutes, burned 194 calories (noticing since I've been on this new BP med that my calorie count is dropping again, wth?), went 1.25 miles, did 2951 steps and HR was 123/151.

I also did CDorner's Neck and Shoulder stretch that I have done several times. At least she's not yammering away with her peeps in this one. It is a relaxing one and I really like it.

Belinda - You posted on the May thread this morning. Just letting you know.

Diane - Great job on your workout yesterday with Giant Sets, that looks awesome. I really want to get those workouts. Those three low impact workouts you were mentioning look good to. Ihaven't ordered anything from Cathy since Strong & Lean or something like that came out. Its been a long time.

Cam - I agree about Chris. That kind of stuff drives me nuts. I'm surprised people don't complain about it on her Youtube comment thread. I never see any complaints about it.

Jolie - Where you be? I think it's cool that you walk with your neighbor ladies. I can't believe they walk so far, that is truly awesome!! I hope Ican do that when I'm in my 70's!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Thanks Debbie! Must have been the heat this morning on my walk, lol.

I walked and did STS 2 TB Trisets

2 min rest between each round/repeat each round once more. Cathe did a lot of kneeling and sitting. I did standing. I know Cathe calls these group, I call the rounds.

Round 1
Squats
Alt. Rear Lunge
Sumo Squats

Round 2
Chest press
Chest fly - pinky in
Chest fly

Round 3
Deadlift
Pullovers
1 Arm Row

Round 4
Close Grip Bench Press
Overhead Triceps Extension
Triceps Lying Extensions

Round 5
Overhead Press
Lateral Raise
Arm Rear Delt Fly - I did standing

Round 6
Bicep Curls
Hammer Curls
Sweeper Curls

Round 7

The pace was good, I didn't feel rushed. I need to figure out what I an do instead of deadlifts?

Today I did CDorner Low Impact Cardio Tribute to Tina Turner, cardio mash up, 40 minutes, 205 calories, heart rate 132/161, 3,131 steps. I followed this with CDorner Sweaty mobility Flow from 3 days ago, 37 minutes, 68 calories, heart rate 83/105. Total time was 77 minutes, 273 calories, 3,474 steps. Tomorrow I will do another STS total body. I put the program in my calendar starting Monday. I tried dropping it into the calendar in workout manager and it started it right away leaving Wed as the day off so I had to go back and delete the whole thing. Also the calendar did not print out with anything but dots and numbers on it. I guess I do not know what I am doing. I used to print up the workouts for STS all of the time.

Belinda, nice work on the treadmill walk and STS 2.0 total Body tri-sets. I noticed Cathe with some of the kneeling moves, but she did say something on one of them that you could stand it just gives a little more difficulty to the move.

Debbie, nice work on the treadmill walk today. My calories burned are rarely that much. I just don't worry about it. It is for health purposes anyway. I know mine is generally lower than what others seem to get with the same workouts. I think the workout series you mentioned is Strong and Sweaty. Chris has mentioned some complaints when I have done some of the workouts. Generally I don't listen to the start of them with the talking. Once it was someone suggesting she lies about how long the workout is or lies because she adds time. She just said something to the effect that they can go find someone does it how they want. I think she enjoys the comradery and pays a lot of attention to those that support her channel. It doesn't bother me enough to go find someone else. I like her workouts. She has a newer neck and shoulder one that I like a lot.

Diane- yes, you kneel or stand. Very difficult on my knees great job on your workouts.

Roselyn- I sm also doing the 12 week rotation. Tomorrow I will finish up week 1.

Just completed Tri Sets and loved it. I think this is my favorite of the 3 Total Body workouts. The time flew. I like the leg work in this and that last leg circuit was a doozy. I was breathing hard at the end. In fact, the last 2 circuits of biceps and then legs were challenging, probably because I go heavier with those muscle groups. I don't need 2 min. to rest and transition, so I do a minute of a cardio exercise and then just skip to the circuit. We also have warm weather here and my workout room is pretty warm as well and that can make a difference. At least it's not humid and much more tolerable.

So I only purchased the 3 total body DVD's and am glad I did. These were good purchases for me and Cathe is very thorough with the exercises. I just can go a little quicker and add a few more reps to most of the upper body work. That's fine with me and I have no trouble substituting an exercise here and there. I find I can get good YT workouts to compliment these or do her other workouts, so I don't think I will order anymore of the STS2.0 dvds. I think in the Fall, I may purchase her Live.

Diane, I forgot to preview the Tina Turner workout. How was that? Maybe I should do that tomorrow.

Debbie, I can be critical of workouts, but CDorner offers free, decent workouts and new ones almost all week and sometimes 3 in one day, so I can't complain. She works hard. My hats off to her for the variety she provides. I think I may have commented awhile ago about her friend Donna, who participates. She is so uncoordinated and seems drunk to me, that she took away from the workout. Ugh. Otherwise I typically give thumbs up and leave positive comments on my fave instructors. It helps them out. With so many moving to paid subscriptions now, my notifications have dwindled in the past couple years.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Hi,
Today I did 30 min yoga. That's it. We are running into trouble in the kitchen by the sliding door to the deck, it looks like water damage. Our old contractor came today to take a look. He will come out on Monday. I was so afraid to rip out the kitchen floors too.
Good night.

Roselyn, nice work starting STS 2..o Giant sets

Cam, nice work with 2.0 Tri-sets. I generally do better with lower and arm work than the other areas on the weights. It has taken a bit to get the surgery side back to full strength though. I am hoping this will help me move forward strength wise. I really liked the Tina Turner workout. She shows low impact, but picks it up some. It is a mish mosh so there is a tabata type segment and a boxing segment.

Belinda, you probably needed the yoga and a break with all of the work on the floors. I am sorry there is a problem with the flooring job. Hopefully it will not be too much to fix. I did two rounds today kneeling with the curls and stood for the last one.

Sorry I have been MIA, but I felt like being offline for a few days. I walked my butt off this past week and it felt amazing. I walked over 54 miles and my feet feel pretty good, usually they are sore but the new shoes I bought recently have really helped, they are very supportive when you first get them. I woke up with a spasm in my low back from cleaning the garage yesterday, I wish I did not have to do that type of work, it always screws up my back somehow. Anyway, tomorrow will take a rest day to see if I can get it to settle down, I am icing it today and it is helping. Hopefully, I recover by myself, but I may have to visit the Chiropractor if it does not feel-good tomorrow.

Great job on the workouts this past week everyone, and it looks like you all are enjoying the new STS! I still am on the fence about buying them, I will make a decision after I see what you all think of each one. I probably will not buy the set, just a few lifting workouts based on your reviews.

Make it a great Sunday.

This morning I did Cathe RWH Low Impact Hiit w/ bonus abs. I haven't done this in awhile and it's always been a favorite of mine. Diane did this recently and its been in the back of my mind. I still love this one. Not a killer, but comfortably winded. I have to change up some of the abs, especially laying down and coming up to a jackknife, causes a little strain in my neck. This is one of my favorites though.

Today is a rest day.

Jolie, that was a lot of walking. I hope that your spasm lets up for you.

Cam, nice work getting in RWH Low Impact Hiit with Bonus abs.

This morning I did CDorner's Step Aerobics Workout 30 minute Basic Step and had a great workout. I haven't done a step workout since WAY before my knee surgery. I enjoyed this and it was easy yet got my HR up. My legs really felt this, crazy how out of shape I feel right now. Fun workout, I will go to this one again. Not much talking from Chris and the music was awesome.

Workout was 31 mintues, burned 229 calories, did 2956 steps and HR was 126/161.

I also did the stretch workout that came after this step workout. It was only like 18 minutes and was really good. I enjoyed that as well. She does not talk to her people on this one, it is just her doing the stretch.

I am still having issues with knots in my upper back. My DH massaged it a bit last night and I put ice on it for about 20 minutes. Then he stuck an Icy/Hot patch on it and it felt pretty good this morning. It is not gone, however. I don't get why this stupid thing won't just go away. Very frustrating.

Diane - Yep, I meant Strong and Sweaty. I think I did the workout you were talking about where she says some people were giving her bad comments. She said all that in the step workout. That's not right, there are things that irritate me but she does put out some awesome workouts. And they are new every single day. I would never complain to her about it, though. I'll have to find the newer neck and shoulder one she doesn, I haven't seen that out there. If you happen to know the link, can you post it? Great job with your STS workouts this past week!

Roselyn - Great job with starting the STS rotation! I hope you enjoy it!

Cam - Now I want to order the Total Body workout. I just may. I'm sure the premixes are awesome on those. Thanks for the review!! I agree about CDorner, she is a great trainer, cares for her followers and her workouts are safe. I guess I'll just overlook the yammering, LOL!! The workout I did from her today was really fun and a great workout for me to get back into stepping.

Jolie - I know what you mean about doing work that messes up your back. Everything I do lately seems to create knots in my upper back. The yardwork I've been doing is a killer for me anymore but I love doing it so much. I hope your back gets better soon.

Belinda - I hope you were able to work out the problems in your kitchen. That's the thing about redoing something, it always ends up being more than you planned! LOL!

Have a great day everyone!
