Roselyn, I have not heard of Athletic ketosis.

Rest day today. I am going to try to workout early tomorrow. My grandson is coming over to do some mowing and trimming for me.
 
Hi everyone!! Great workouts this weekend!!! I didn't do much of anything, which was great!!! We had a beautiful weekend and I'm bummed that it's over.

Today starts week 2 of Full Body. Had a great workout and went very heavy. This workout was the same as last Monday, only in superset format.

Today's workout went like this:

3 sets/5 reps with 2 minute rest - warmed up with Muscle Max

I also walked on my treadmill for 1 miles.

Saturday I did a 6 mile walk and burned 636 calories. Sunday I took the day off, I was tired because I had a football kick off party on Saturday that went too late. I will be back later with today's workout, it will be Back.
 
Today's workout was STS # 15 BACK. I went to failure on each set instead of doing the 12, 10, 8, To Failure reps. I am very tired today, poor sleep, but felt pretty strong.

Wide Grip Cable Pull Downs-
60# x 16, x 14, x 12, 16 TF

Barbell Row
55# x 13, x 12, x 12, x 13 TF

1 Arm Rows-
30# x 12, x 11, x 10, x 10 TF

Deadlifts-
55# x 15, x 12, x 10, x 10 TF

I finished with some leg extensions because my legs are not looking good. :( 50# x 20, x 16, x 14, x 15 TF. This exercise really builds my legs nicely, I go light and do high reps. I get cellulite on the top on one of my legs because I had surgery and was in a cast for a long time and my muscles atrophied. This exercise helps my quads and the top of my legs look better.

Today I did Ice Boot Camp Circuit, 45 minutes, 251 calories. I then did T25 Gamma Extreme Circuit, 30 minutes, 200 calories. Total time was 75 minutes and calories 451. My grandson came over and trimmed my hedges and morning glories this morning and hung out till he went to work :D I enjoy having them come over. My 16 year old granddaughter is coming over Wednesday night after a bowling party and staying. I did not go real heavy. I still plan on doing a lower and an upper workout this week.

Debbie, what type of leg press station do you have. I always miss my Bowflex for doing that. Nice work!

Jolie, nice workout. I like leg extensions for the quads. That is another one I used to do with the Bowflex a lot.

Roselyn, new workouts often are hard to know what weights we need and so using caution is best. Next time you will know. Cathe has a new series that she is started a pre sale for. I may pre order later. Some variety in them I guess. I think patterned after some live workouts that people love.
 
Today I did Cardio Coach #2, my version. This one is ok, not my favorite, but I wanted to do something other than 1 or 3. Had a pretty good workout.

Workout was 40 minutes, ran 2.77 miles, burned 274 calories (TM said 366) and went 5564 steps.

I also did the ab work from All Step. OMG, I haven't done that one in a long time.

Roselyn - Yes, Cathe has a new series coming out. Looks like the same types of workouts she always does. I wish she'd do something similar to BB.

Diane Sue - I have one where you lay on your back and then put your heels on a big steel bar and push up. The weights go on top of this bar. I love that thing. Nice workout yesterday!! It's so nice that your grand kids do stuff for you, that is awesome!! What great kids.

Jolie - Great back workout and leg extensions. I love doing leg extensions but they hurt my knee too much now. I miss doing them.
 
Today I did Shoulders, I put together my own workout and I liked it. 1 minute rest between sets and the last set was to failure. I could have gone up in a couple of exercises, I ended up doing higher reps instead.

Diane Sue, Great workout! That ICE Bootcamp is a tough one for me. You have really great endurance compared to me.

Debbie, Great cardio workout today! Don't you just love getting in so many steps first thing in the morning? I feel that when I don't get some sort of cardio in, my mood isn't as good as it should be. It makes me happy to burn calories. They say it releases endorphins and we all know that makes us happy!

Have a great day. My boys go back to school tomorrow so I will finally get back to my routine and not have to rush as much. I will try to get more cardio in now so maybe I can loose some weight!
 
Today I started with Brook Benton's Kettlebody by Brook Cardio Kettlebell 31 minutes, 158 calories. I only used a 10 amd 15# kettle bell. There is a lot of swinging the bell at angles and I always have this fear of hitting my knees or something. It is not a favorite of the workouts that I have of hers. I think that I have mostly used the cardio yoga from this set. I then did Cross Fire Less Impact premix, 56 minutes, 336 calories and finished off with 21 Day Fix Extreme abs, 11 minutes, 50 calories. I generally do not have a lot of problems with the moves in that ab workout but the side plank hip drops and the plank with the arm raise and through are tough when done for a whole minute on one side then moving to the other for a minute. Total time was 98 minutes, 544 calories.

Deb, I would like a leg press station like that. I used to do that lying on the floor with the Bowflex and press the full 310# max of rods I had. I know it is not the same as weights though. I kept thinking I needed another set of rods. I do miss it sometimes. Nice workout today. I used to do all of those ab workouts on that set at one time. It is amazing how you feel it when you go back to some of the older workouts.

Jolie, that looks like a nice workout that you put together. I do not enjoy working shoulders. It used to seem easy but now I am always cautious of my neck and shoulders. I worry about pushing to hard.

Todays workout was a 5.3 mile walk outside. My boys went back to school today so I got to get out early before it got hot and had a great time. I burned 602 calories. 1 hour and 3o minutes.

Debbie, that looks like a great workout you are doing. You are seriously getting strong!!! I might have to try this workout sometime!

Today I did Ice Lower Body Blast with the blizzard blast, 65 minutes, 432 calories. I then did Muscle Meltdown Shoulders 16 minutes, 82 calories. I finished with 21 Day Fix Extreme yoga, 32 minutes, 106 calories. Total time 1 hour 53 minutes calorie total 620.

Today I did Cardio Coach 5 but only had time to do challenge 1 & 2. Got up late and then just couldn't get started on time. But had a good workout anyways, wish I could have done the whole thing.

Workout was 45 minutes, ran 2.61 miles, burned 283 calories (TM said 414, wth?) and went 5747 steps.

So my left hamstring is so tight I can barely stretch it anymore. Tonight I will start stretching it while I'm watching TV and use my foam roller. I need to do something before it tears, that frightens me. I'm having a hard time getting up after I've been sitting a while. Not good. I hate that I neglect the stretches I know I need to do. Just dumb of me.

Debbie, nice work on the steps today. I try to do some extra stretching everyday. I can sure tell the difference if I let it go because I am busy or in a hurry. Maybe you need to make a time slot for it like you do your workouts. Sometimes when I am tight in the hamstrings and low back and lack time I stretch at the same time I am drying my hair and doing make up. It probably looks weird with my foot propped on the side of the tub and me leaned over with a blow dryer but it helps a bit. I am generally stiff if I sit for a prolonged time and that knee sometimes requires moving slowly. I hope you get it worked out.

Debbie, I have a very tight left hamstring as well. Besides stretching what works for me is kick boxing. It seems to really stretch it when doing kicks and I stretch well after the workout. Somehow it helps... Also, that is a big reason why I stop doing leg workouts. My hip flexor and hamstrings get too tight. I find running on my elliptical and walking on the treadmill works my legs well along with the kick boxing. I like the way my legs look when I lift but in the end it isn't worth the pain and stiffness. I can do leg ext. and leg curls and don't seem to get any tightness.

Today I have had two grandchildren here so I did a shorter workout. I did the Ice Low Impact Sweat Step Mish mosh all step mix, 37 minutes, 262 calories. I also did Ice core 2, 14 minutes, 51 calories. Total workout was 52 minutes, 317 calories.

- I did stretch last night with my foam roller and wow, what an eye opener. The pain stems from my left butt cheek muscle, holy crap was that tight. Once I loosened that up, my hamstring was better. I stretched my hamstring and quads out really good an today I am very sore in those area. I need to keep doing this until those muscles release a bit. Not sure why the left side of my body is like that. Nice workout you both did yesterday!!

Roselyn - Great workout yesterday. Are you going to start the full body rotation or did you change your mind?
