Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 7/15

Today was Yoga and I chose Bryan Kest's Energize workout again. Did better with it this time. My poses are getting a bit easier but my muscles are still so very tight. Twisting poses are really hard for me. I really like this workout. I will eventually move to his Strength yoga and then Sweat yoga but those are some very advanced workouts. I remember doing Strength once and I about died. So I will take my time to get to those workouts.

I feel good, my muscles are warm and talking to me!

Morning! GS chest and triceps done! I did all the drop set pushups on my toes without a longer rest- woo hoo! You gotta love meso 1 for improving your push up skills. I also did one segment from Mindy Mylrea's Cardio Toolbox. She has a presale going on now and I want one! Her DVDs are never cheap, though. Hoping Kelly Coffey Meyer's new ones will come out sometime in the next month, too.

Debbie: Ahhh, yoga. Good for you. I've been doing some more stretching lately (Classical Stretch), but not yoga. I need to do that sometime.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Exactly another reason why I chose to do P90X again because of the yoga and the Yoga X hits the abs good too and I need more of this. Woke up this morning passed my goal weight and back down to 119 again!!! I haven't been 119 in about a year. Now I am aiming for 117, but not anxious at all about getting there because I know I just will. I also like P90X because I know it will adjust my body composition and direct my bodyfat to where I want that to be also. The only thing is boredom I have to watch for, but that usually doesn't set in until the 8th week or so.

So today is P90X Shoulders and Arms/Abs.

Patti,

Sounds like you did good on the pushups.

Debbie,

Glad you got in your yoga, just like I said...it is good to keep yoga in the workouts. I am gonna upload some of the vacation pictures today. I keep forgetting. lol

Hello to everyone else! Happy Sweaty Workouts!!

I finished up my workout. I just did Kelly Coffey's 30 minutes to fitness kickbox workout #1 and abs 44 minutes. I burned 333 calories. Now I am off to see what I can get accomplished today. If I feel energetic later I might still get in APX chest and shoulders. I will see how much time I have. I wasn't sure whether I felt like doing a workout this morning. I have not been feeling well the last few days. I got up with dh at 4 this morning and went back to bed when he left and slept till 7:30. No grandchildren today and I need to get out shopping for dd's birthday dinner here Saturday

Those of you who buy BSN. I found a site that has it on sale right now for $17.95 each. I think if you order over $50 you get free shipping. Go here:

Debbie,

I tried to do what your doing, but it doesn't work for me. I ended up eating 12 or more little bars of chocolate a day so I just have to stay away from it for now. lol.

I got my birthday shopping done. Now it is doing things around the house:D

Charlotte, it looks like you had a lot of fun on your vacation. I LOL at the burned backside.

Diane,

What day is your birthday? I didn't feel like I was on the beach long enough to get that burn...we actually got on the beach late so I was surprised.

Well, after 2 nice rest days, I am back at it. I started to get just down right irritable and knew I better get in and workout. The 2 days were nice and my legs really needed it but time to work now! Even though upper body would have probably made more sense, I have a 30 mile ride Sunday and wanted to be sure that I was good and ready for it, and not sore. I warmed up with 1 mile on the stepmill (I have really missed that thing!) then did Meso 3 legs, squat rack option but lowered my weights from what I had done during STS. In between sets, I did the Oxygen abs. It took a while but I had a lot of fun. My arms are looking smaller- really need to get back at the weights. Amazing how fast it all just disappears! Anyway, I would like to swim later on but I don't know if it will work out or not. After the ride, I want to start something new and am pondering P90X.

Anybody get Insanity? It is tempting but I fear that my knees would totally rebel. If I do P90X, I may just do the weights, abs and yoga parts and ignore the plyo. We'll see.

Linda - did not know you were a vegetarian. It is something that I have given a lot of thought to.

Patti - awesome on the pushups! STS did nothing to help me with pushups. I keep hoping there is something I am missing and that with one little tweak, I could do them forever. I do pretty good on weights for chest and upper body but when it comes to pushups, it's like I never touched a weight or worked out in my life:rolleyes: I can now do 7, I think it was, in a row. Progress, though, as I used to not be able to even do one, and that really wasn't that long ago, comparatively speaking, but I should be able to do more DARN IT!

Char- congrats on you weight loss. It's a nice feeling when your hard work pays off.
What is the P90x plus?

Linda-Nice work on the sts. I tried to be a vegetarian after I read the book skinny bitch, but it did not last long.

Shana-I suck at push ups, I feel like my eyes are going to pop out :)

I just did Imax3 and ASC3 abs routine number 2. Total workout was 1 hr and I burned 573 calories. My heart rate was soaring on the Imax, I have not done that one in awhile.

TTYL-
Theresa

Shana: Isn't it funny what our bodies do well? And more interestingly, what they DON'T do well. :) I have issues with rear delt fly work- give me more than 8 pounds and my form sucks. No matter what I do those muscles aren't as strong as I want them to be. Oh well, if it all came easy then what would be the point?

ETA: This probably means I have a muscle imbalance in my chest / back. I need to work on that- would likely improve posture too.

Oh and Theresa, thanks for the 7 layer salad recipe- I made it the other night and it was great!

Charlotte, my birthday isn't till the end of next month. It is one of my dd's burthday that I went shopping for.
We are having dinner here and I had to buy for that and get her a present. Now trying to finish up hanging pictures and putting the last of the boxes away. She wants me to make her an icecream cake:) I am making roast and a greek salad from one of my oxygen clean eating magazine
