DianeSue - I have a KB question. I know you do Amy's ab workouts using a KB and was wondering if a 15# would be good for those or is it too heavy or too light? Thanks!
 
Hey Crazies! I just finished grooming that dog (cocker) I talked earlier about and actually it was the best behaved it's ever been and acted like it liked me for the first time, lol. I don't get it, I wish it wouldn't toy with me like that. Must'a been my bionics cape.:p Anyways, the abuse story behind it's behavior is so horrible that I forgive it's meanness.

Suz- I finally had a chance to check out your pictures. You look adorable in all of them. You and dh act like you are having fun. Did you make that top in the TG folder? It's really cute.

Sonya- Yeah! Fun new equipment! You have a great workout room.

Debbie- Yeah, where's Lora? I wonder what happened with her situation.
So cool you got all that support on the OD forum (we all love ya!). Guess the OP got put in her place.;)

Teddy- I don't know what body type I am either. I gain muscle size super easy in my upperbody, but not so much in my lowerbody, it's muscles seem to stay about the same size. I've never had a real weight problem (just those vanity pounds). I think I'm small boned. I must be meso/ectoie.

LOL! There is always some kind of drama following me around, isn't there? And the thing is: I DON'T WANT IT! Oy! I was stunned to see how many people posted on that thread on my behalf. Flabbergasted, actually.

Diane Sue - I hope you get rid of that cough. That has to suck!!!

Suz - I gained about 10# this weekend. LOL! No, JK. But I'm hauling around some major puffiness right now.

Finished that chest/back workout. Loved it! My chest work is lacking...so sad, but with much practice, things will progress, right??:eek::p;):rolleyes:

BACK/CHEST
Round 1
Supermans (warmup)

One Arm Rows (warmup)
15# - 16 reps

One Arm Rows: 30# - 8 reps
(these felt too light)

Full/Partial Pushups
(ick..need to improve on pushups)

One Arm Rows: 40# - 8 reps
(second time around went with 35's)

[**Repeated Round 1 all over again but skipped the supermans and warmup of one arm rows.

Round 2
Underhand Barbell Rows: 70# - 2/7 reps

Incline Dumbbell Flyes: 30's - 11 slow reps

Underhand Barbell Rows: 70# - 2 sets 7 reps

Incline Dumbbell Flyes: 30's - 10 slow reps
***Repeated Round 2 but dropped to 25's with the incline flyes.

Round 3
One Arm Rows Palms Back: 25# - 12 reps (these were tough)

Decline Pushups: 12 reps
***Repeated Round 3 again.

Round 4
Incline Pullovers: 30# - 8 reps then did again with 35# (my hand can barely fit around the dumbbell the way you have to hold it..luckily, my two middle fingers are long enough. lol.)

Incline Dumbbell Chest Press: 25# - 7 reps
Really starting to fry out here and had a hard time keeping up with the chest press and did not repeat it, but did repeat pullovers.
***Repeated Round 4 again.

Round 5
Back Pulls w/ yellow band superset w/Y-Pulls....OMG!!!!!!!!! These were hard!!

Around the Clock Pushups
Once again, I sucked at the pushups and did not repeat, but repeated back pulls.
***Repeated Round 5 again.

Thanks Dallys! No, I didn't make that top. I wish I was that talented! I got it at Kohl's in the junior's section just last week. :) Yeah, DH and I have fun. He doesn't like serious poses. He's always hugging me like a crazy guy anyway, so it fits in pictures too. I'm glad that dog was so well-behaved today.

Sonya - I forgot to mention that's cool that you have friends from LA County Sheriff's Dept. as well. Such a small world really. There was that show on Fox Reality called The Academy that was really fun for DH and me to watch b/c it showed what it was like going through that academy. It would follow a class through the academy. I'm not sure if it's over for good or if they're filming another class now. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more - DH or me! The ones around here aren't run like military academies at all. And it was fun for me to see what he went through way back then. Also, the academy is in Whittier where I was born and raised so I liked to see the surrounding areas where they would do PT and stuff. :)
 
I got my new Kettlebell Way 2 dvd today but am supposed to save it for Christmas with my other two new kettlebells.

LInda, I think a 15# kettlebell would be fine for most of Amy's ab work. On the kettlebell ab work on Step Challenge 3 I use a 20# for some of the crunch moves. For me 15 is plenty for most moves though. I think when I said I used Drill Max for a shorter workout I meant like the cardio premix where you repeat some of the segments or the lower cardio premix LOL The cardio premix works great paired with 4Day Split Bootcamp cardio.

Debbie, I am sorry you had to get on here and see that on the OD. That is just not right. We are here to share information and learn from each other. You obviously know what your doing and have a lot to share. It takes work to do up rotations and think them through. I for one appreciate that someone would take the time to do that to share with others. I hope I get rid of this cough too. I have never used an inhaler before. Hate meds and am worried I will feel crappy tomorrw if I have to use it so I can sleep tonight. She also said if I get short of breath working out I might want to use it. I have wondered what Lora's decision was too.

Suz, I enjoyed your new pictures. It looks like you had so much fun with your friends eating and drinking and eating and drinking LOL. You will probably lose a couple of those pounds now that you are back home. I was up when I went in to the doctor today:confused: Now I have not been doing to badly on my eating. Did stop Sunday and get a Starbucks Truffle coffee on the way to church. I forgot to ask for skim milk or sugar free so I got the whole calorie fat loaded thing. Then I got a turkey guacomole sandwich on the way home and after I loaded it into My Fitness Pal, lets just say I thought I had better not keep eating)

Dallys, I am glad the dog was nice for you today. I am taking Puddle to the vet tomorrow to get her spayed. Poor puppy has to stay all night. I am having him clip her claws for me while she is out. She is so picky about having her mat to sleep on. I guess she will probably still be kind of out of it though.

Sonya, I bet you are excited about using the new Olympic weight bench:) I love getting new equipment.

Diane Sue - Do you think you can save that DVD??? That would be hard for me! I hope you're right about the weight since it isn't good calories. :confused: I hate when I order something like that Starbuck's and forget to order it all the right way!

I just got my shoulder stretched. YOWZA again! He said it was really tight today. Probably b/c we took most of last week off I would guess. It really hurt today. One of the volleyball players was in there afterwards and she said, "That really hurts, huh?" I was like, "Yup!" He said we need to do it a minimum of 3 days a week. I just hate to take up his time. So I'll do the minimum and see how we do. He wants me to do the towel stretch behind my back so I'll do that and the uneven pushups.

Just got an e-mail from my high school boyfriend. I found his brother on Classmates.com. He has a girlfriend who he has been dating for 2 years. She's pretty and looks sweet. He said he's lucky to have her in his life. He said my DH is a very lucky man. Awww...
 
I forgot to post here - I did Debbie's rotation - 4DS back and chest, and BM2 abs. Niiicccceeeee!! I'm going to go read the above now - looks like I missed out today!
 
Suz, I am going to try to leave the dvd alone. I read all of the cover information though. It is supposed to have two dvd's and lots of 40 minute workouts:D Is that towel stretch the one where you reach up your back with one arm and over with the other?? That hurts. I keep working on it though. I used to be able to grasp fingers on one side but not anymore. Is uneven push ups supposed to help or are you just doing them? Tomorrow is working with the kettlebells for me and abs.

That sounds like a really good dvd! I bet you can't wait until Christmas!!! Yup, that's the towel stretch. It does hurt but nothing like the real stretches. :) After I'm finished with the towel stretches my shoulder hurts for awhile. Does yours? Uneven pushups are supposed to help. So I'm going to start doing 40 uneven on my bad shoulder and then 40 uneven on the other one b/c I don't want to be unbalanced. He said that would be fine. I forgot to ask him if the yoga block was high enough. I hope you enjoy your kettlebells tomorrow!

So I'm not doing legs tonight after all. This is why I don't workout at night. DH wants to watch a movie, bless him. So I will switch my days around and do biceps and legs tomorrow morning instead of chest and back, which I'll do on Wednesday. Hopefully I'll get it all under control again (the weight) by the end of the week. Yikes!

Tonight I am rather lazy...I guess I'm rebelling against coming back to work, lol. It was so nice to have a four day weekend.
