Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 11/6

Had an ok workout this morning. My right shoulder is bothering me again so I went back to the weights I used in the first week. It was only about a 1-2# drop.

45 second rest between each set

SHOULDERS
Arnold Press:
30's - 4/4
25's - 12
15's - 20/15
***Not sure what my problem is with this exercise, I can't seem to make 2 sets of 20 reps.

Seated Lateral Raise:
15's - 4/4
10's - 12
8's - 20/20

Dumbbell Upright Row:
30's - 4/4
25's - 12
15's - 20/20

Bent Over Lateral Raise:
12's - 20/20
***Dropped to 12's from 15's on this one because my shoulder was really bothering me by this time. WIMP!

TRAPS
Barbell Shrugs:
155# - 4/4
145# - 12
130# - 20/20
***These burned big time today.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today I am gonna work shoulders/chest and do some cardio. Not sure if I want to go for fast walk in town or something else so will figure it out. Yesterday I was in a funk and had a hard time with myself to get going, but this is what I did, and I did it well. I am really making progress with triceps and have DOMS in them this morning. So happy..anyhow:

TRICEPS
Weighted Bench Dips
90# 8x's
80# 12x's
60# 20/20 (made all the reps this time..last time was 15/15)
(weights were the same as last time I did this)

Lying BB Ext
50# 4/4
40# 12x's
30# 20/20
(up 5# on these...very very pleased! This is progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Overhead DB Ext
35# 4/4
30# 12x's (made all the reps..last time was 10)
20# 20/18 (improved reps)

Kickbacks:
12's 20/20 (was 10's last time I did this)

Then went on elliptical briefly and burned 115 cals. Legs were much more sore then I realized from the lunges and I kept my pace slower instead of faster cuz I had no choice. lol.

This morning, I did KPC & KM (leg drills) and abs.

Char - Nice workout, girl! You are really moving some major weights. Your tricep work is kick ass!

Teddygirl - Your legs must have been burning after that combo. Nice job!

Missed you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been really busy I finally got enrolled and school. Have to get my pre recs out of the way before nursing school BLAH! My workouts have been hardcore:) After finishing a month of 4DS. I do a couple weeks of endurance. So last week was all off the Hardcore Extreme dvd

Mornin' Peeps!

This morning I did biceps and I will do cardio tonight. I'm either going to stay after work and try that wave machine that looks like an elliptical (we have a big girls volleyball tourney going on though with a bunch of teams from out of town so I don't know if the aerobic room will be busy with gals from teams who aren't playing) or go home and do CC or Imax 2.

Jumped up on the first three sets and lowered myself down without any assistance. On the final set I jumped up on the first one but had to assist myself up for the last one. ONE DAY I will get up there without jumping! :p

Planned on doing 22.5 pounds for last set but my forearm started hurting. That hasn't bothered me in a loooong time. It took a long time to heal so I figured I better stop at 20#. Darn it!

Hammer Curls

I was going to go heavier for this whole set, but b/c of my forearm, I went lighter. That's okay though b/c those chins really fried my biceps!

I was going to do preacher curls with the bar but I was toast at this point. :eek:

Debbie - You're not a wimp. You're being smart. You don't want to screw up your shoulder and end up having to have surgery or something. NICE workout!!!

Char - Great progress woman! I wish I could do weighted dips. My shoulder can't take it. :mad:

Teddygirl - Nice! Are you still doing P90X?

Morning Maniacs! This morning I did Turbo Jam Cardio Party #2 (trying to use more of my DVD's as I can't even remember what I have:rolleyes:). I then did some foam roller exercises. I'm crazy because I still feel I need to do more cardio later today. I'm like high on cardio latley...need my fix. I think it's because I haven't been out on the bike much. It's freezing here too. Supposed to be in the low 40's.

Debbie- Great job on the workout. Keep an eye on the shoulder, don't want an injury!

Toasty- Dang! You are doing great on the tricep work! I love working triceps. Mine are strong compared to my whimpy biceps.

Teddy- Darnit, I was going to do KPC this morning too! You should have told me.:p

Randi- Great to see you back! Your rotation looks great. Congrats for starting school too. My son-in-law just got his RN. He's finally making some dough. He works in the crazy/psycho part (not sure what that's really called) of the hospital and loves it. Lot's of drama so it's never boring.

Suz- Thanks for the water link. I have a real cool 32 oz. Sigg bottle and I'm going to drink 2 of those a day. I've got to cut back on the diet Pepsi's.:eek:

Diane Sue- Glad you got some shopping in.;) My shoulders and neck are feeling much better from these simple drills from TBS. I think I have super tight muscles in my upper back across the shoulders (which affects my neck too) and I think they are loosening up, I don't feel so much tension there while I'm working. If you want the drills for shoulders let me know and I'll remember to write them down when I do it next.

Later work calls...easy day, Yippee!

I am so tired was up half the night coughing. Workout was Amy Bento's Step Challenge3 doing the power ups and abs#1 with 15# dumbbell( I need to get some kettlebells), then I did Butts and Guts Bonus abs segment with the stability ball and Pyramid abs, finished with pyramid upper stretch and Step Challenge 3 stretch. Calories for cardio was 610. Total calories burned was 843.
I thought I might get a nap with Olivia but my grandson is here today too as he was sick to the stomach last night. Seems ok today though. He even exercised with me. I have to go pick up the other children this afternoon and was hoping to make a trip to Walmart to look for a pink sock monkey my granddaughter wants for Christmas.
 
My 8th Grandson was born this morning :D:D:D His name is Kingston Melvin Hill. I can't wait too meet him. Oh boy am I excited. :p:D:p Oh! 9 lbs can you believe it, it hurts just thinking of delivering a 9lb anything Yowza. Just thought I share, really happy. Of the 8 GK only one girl. Man oh man would I love to have another girl:eek:

Suz: Girl, I been checking out your workouts and you are rocking it! Nice job. Now too answer your question am I still doing P90X, let me think hm.........I'd say yes altho this week really been hectic but going to pick it up a bit.

Dallys - You little cardio junkie! I like the Cardio Party workouts but until I learn them I feel like SUCH A NERD!!! I want to be all cool doing them and I'm just not. Then I get all mad. :mad: I'm kind of a trip. But once I nail it then I think I'm cool again. :cool: I had so much fun (well, puke status fun) on my ride Saturday and now I miss cycling again. I think I'll go to the cycling club meeting next Wednesday. We're ordering new cycling club jerseys for next year. At the last meeting I went to (I NEVER go) we were trying to vote on the artwork and those of us who weren't on that committee were being shushed. It will be interesting to see what the guys chose. Something ugly I'm sure. :p My cycling partner (the one who crashed me) is the president of the club and will be overjoyed if I actually went to a meeting. It will get me out of the house.

Diane Sue - I'm sorry you're still not feeling 100%. Nice workout anyway. It's hard to do cardio when you have a cough! That's cute that your grandson worked out with you. You're teaching your grandkids such great things about fitness.

I wish you could all help me with my kids' fitness camp! Wouldn't that be cool? Yesterday I thought there might just be some grant money out there for something like this so I just met with our grants person and she's going to look into it. She thinks there might be too. That would be AWESOME!!! It would sure make a much nicer camp. :)
 
Teddy- Nope, Cardio Party is not that hard of workout, but it's pretty fun and the music is good. It's just an average hr type workout, good but not super intense. CONGRATS on the new grand baby!!! What a cute name too! And I can't imagine the 9lbs! Ouch!

Suz- My fellow nerd. I was feeling so nerdy doing Cardio Party. I have zero, I mean zero, cool skills. My form is horrible with kickboxing moves too. But, I groove out all the same:D. I wish I could move all cool and smooth-like, like Charlene. I can't even clap with any rythym in those, lol! I'm all over the place.:eek:

Afternoon All, this morning for some reason I woke up with major DOMS in my traps ?:confused:?, have no idea where that came from and a horrible pain that shoots up the back left side of my neck when I look down. And really don't have any idea what that is all about since I didn't do anything to my neck yesterday. Finally took some ibprofen to make it tolerable. Anyway I did Amy's ASC 2 through to challange 5 then did segment 2 of Amy's Abs and Stretch. It's been a while since I did ASC 2 and then I have only done it twice before, so I stumbled a bit. Challange 1 was the worse.

Debbie - There is nogthing wimpy about your workout, but again I understand because I did the same thing last week.

Teddy - Congratulations on the grandbaby! Such a big name for some one (kinda) little! My mom had three girls and we each had a boy and a girl so she has an equal amount of both. It was funny how that worked out, we still can't beleive it.
 
Teddygirl - How did I miss the grandson???!!! We must have been posting at the same time. Congratulations!!!!! Wow all those boys and only one girl. I bet she's not spoiled. :D I just wondered about P90X but your workouts still look good to me! Haha - easy to be a cardio junkie. Not so easy to do a cardio party with the coordination. Funny because I was always really coordinated but now? But once I get something down I'm good.

Dallys - I SUCK AT DRINKING WATER!!! I filled up my big mug when I got to work and it's still full. And I suck at eating today too. Haven't eaten nearly enough. I forgot my turkey chili. :( I'm not leaving work b/c we have 45mph winds. I'll eat stuff from my little refrigerator. I just ate a tuna snack pack. My side kicks in kickboxing look totally ridiculous too, btw!

Sonya - What an AWESOME workout yesterday!!!

Debbie - I got my Avon already! Not sure how long it's been there as we haven't checked mail in the past few days. DH said when he got the mail out of the box something flew out of his hand and he's pretty sure it was in Nebraska before he got in his car. Hope it wasn't important! :confused:
 
Linda - Hope you get better soon. Those kinds of pains are so annoying especially since you don't know where it came from in the first place. Maybe try icing it?

Suz - Glad you got the Avon so quickly! If you need anything else, just ask.

That goes for all of you. I know there was someone else who asked for Avon before and I told whoever it was (sorry, I can't remember) that I didn't really want to be mailing stuff. Well, I changed my mind. BUT... you have to order once in a while because I don't like wasting money on those brochures. LOL! :p
 
Lunch time here. Salmon/olives/cucumber mix on kasa toast and frozen grapes. Frozen grapes are my new fav snack of the week.:p I've drank 3/4 of my 16 oz of water. Now I'm freezing, anyone else freeze after they eat? Hate that.

Sonya- I'm all for sitting by the fire place with some hot chocolate. Excellent workout yesterday!

Suz- That's the cool thing about working at home...I never forget my lunch. But, I'm also only a step away from the fridge all day. Makes for easy over snacking.:mad:

Gosh, I'm so cold, I can't decide if I want to hit the treadmill or the hot tub or the couch with a warm banky.
 
Debbie - I didn't know you didn't like mailing stuff! I must have missed that. :eek: I'm glad you did though. Now I can work on getting rid of any crows feet I might have. I'm sure I'll find other stuff I need to order. :)

Okay, so I need help choosing a name for my kids' fitness camp. I think I'll post it on OD but feel free to give me some ideas. I'm SO not creative! I obviously don't want to rip off anybody else's camp names, but a couple that I've been looking at to see what they do are XWaves Fitness Movement, Project Healthy Kids Health & Fitness Camps and Growing Healthy Kids and of course I don't like those at all. I want something fun and "catchy".
