GS Legs

Oh I know a lot of people have posted this already, but WOW!!! What a workout! I'm deathly afraid that I will not be walking much tomorrow. LOL.

Still not sure which is tougher, though - this or Leaner Legs. I think Leaner Legs moves from muscle to muscle very quickly, and by the time you get all caught up, you're done and exhausted. This is a little slower, especially those lunges! But still tough. I'm going to alternate these two. I'm feeling good right now.

LL and GS legs are my fave leg workouts and a good two to alternate. LL will give your legs increased explosive power for cardio. The GS legs is especially thorough. Excellent floor work.

Be careful! The first time I did this workout, my calves were sore for 5 days and I could barely walk! I think I will stick to one set of calf raises on that video for a while.

You're right Christine. I did GS: Legs this morning for the first time in a long time. I had forgotten how tough it was. I'm sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow.

Oddly enough I'm feeling really good right now. I may not have pushed it as hard on the glute and ham work because that's what gets me. I hate really sore hams. But I could feel them when I was working. My calves are feeling it a bit. Of course, it's going to kill tomorrow... That's why it's called DELAY OMS...

Okay Christine....so how do you feel now? I ask this because I did GS Legs the other day and it WAS a killer workout and I expected incredible soreness the following days...but I didn't have much at all. On the flip side... I did S&H Legs today (granted I have a squat rack and go very heavy) and I'm already feeling the DOMS and it seemed to be over in no time with much less fatigue than GS Legs. I know DOMS does not mean everything...but I find it interesting that GS seems much tougher than S&H, and I work plenty hard...but can't seem to get that same "glorious DOMS" that I get with HEAVY weight work. Just curious if anyone else has this happen.

I think GS Legs is a bit tougher than L&G. I like that one as well - like the ankle weights. If it's all about working your body in different ways, then a rotation of the three is your best.

Oh yes, GS Legs is a leg fryer!
I think it's tougher than L&G (but L&G is no walk in the park for me!)---those slow lunges in GS Legs get me everytime, ugh!

GS Legs is my all-time favorite among all of Cathe's leg workouts. LL is a close second, although I don't do LL that often (because I dread it}( :) ). GS-Legs has, for some odd reason, a fun factor for me, and its floor work is very thorough.

Briee - I wasn't that sore. Oh, I could feel it, but not enough to prevent me from doing a cardio workout the next day. I felt worked, and I felt good. I think I need to go heavier, or put more into it. I think part of me was terrified that I would be so sore I couldn't walk and went a little lighter than I normally would.
