Grey's Anatomy??

I haven't watched for a while and I watched tonight -- my question is . . . what is Denny doing there? As much as I love looking at him (he is so dreamy) I don't understand the story line -- I get that he's still dead, because no one can see him but Izzy -- but do we know yet WHY he's there?

A few weeks ago, a patient came to Seattle Grace needing a heart transplant or other heart surgery, I don't remember. Well it turned out to be Dr. Hahn's patient that was on the table getting ready to get the heart a couple years ago when Izzy cut Denny's L-Vat (sp?) wire and he got the heart. So basically, the patient that Izzy stole the heart from was now in the hospital and she had to care for him.

Dr. Hahn did not know about what Izzy had done until someone told her, and she went thru the roof. Izzy had to take care of this patient, and ever since then, Denny has been around. I guess it just had something to do with the heart surgery.

That is also why Dr. Hahn is gone -- she was furious about what Izzy had done, and that it had never been reported. She was threatening to call so-and-so and report the hospital. This turned into a huge fight with Callie (they were dating, did you know that part?) and all of a sudden, she was gone.

Yeah, I'm ready for Denny to be gone already - not enjoying that story line at all. How can she have mind-blowing sex with him? Very odd. That being said, I'll still watch faithfully

Supposely Izzy has like a brain tumor which is causing these episodies....it will be uncovered in the upcoming shows.

Show creator Shonda Rhimes has stated that it will not be a brain tumor (if you believe her), but that it will be unbelievably awesome when the viewers find out what's going on......which is the only thing that can save this irritating and distracting storyline.....

Creator Shonda Rimes issued a statement:

"Brooke Smith was obviously not fired for playing a lesbian. Clearly it's not an issue as we have a lesbian character on the show -- Calliope Torres. Sara Ramirez is an incredible comedic and dramatic actress and we wanted to be able to play up her magic. Unfortunately, we did not find that the magic and chemistry with Brooke's character would sustain in the long run. The impact of the Callie/Erica relationship will be felt and played out in a story for Callie."

One can only wonder if the real reason is because of the timing of the Prop 8 vote in California was happening at the same time as the Callie and Erica relationship and the network had to tone it down.

I didn't really like the Hahn character anyway and it had nothing to do with her being a lesbian -- but whatever, I like the show, I just missed a couple episodes and was confused.

I saw the episode with the heart transplant patient and Izzy having to work on him -- I figured that's why Denny was there to help her know it was okay, but when I watched last night I was really confused -- and they are having mind blowing sex on top of it??!!!

The brain tumor kind of makes sense, but if its not a tumor then I can't wait to find out what the explanation is!

Evidently she will be diagnosed with a brain condition, similar to an aneurysm, that is causing her to hallucinate. Personally, I don't care for the whole story line.

I'm glad this thread was started, because I didn't know what the storline was, I stopped watching this show a while ago but saw the Denny thing on "the Soup. "

I think this is PAYBACK from the writers!! Katherine Heigel (sp?) really insulted them when she took herself out of the running for the Emmys last year saying that her character, and hence the writing, didn't deserve to be nominated. that was extremely arrogant and insulting, and when it happened, my husband and l looked at each other and said, "the writers will get her for that"

Remember on "Friends" when Joey said he wrote some of his own lines, and he was written out of the show when the writers had him fall down an elevator shaft? NEVER p*ss off the writers!!!
