Got some motivation going

Thought I would let you know I finally got a workout in and felt motivated once I started, had such a great time doing it and still feeling pretty good, Feels like I got my head cleared up and can think of things I need to. Thank you all:)
 
Good for you, Leslie! Sometimes just getting that first workout under your belt is all you need to get you back on track. I've gone through some tough times in my life (as I'm sure we all have), and I've always been grateful that working out is part of my life. No matter what I'm going through or how bad I feel, I truly believe that it would be a million times worse without the workouts. Even if your head is a million miles away thinking about whatever's bothering you, once you finish that workout, I swear you feel more clear-headed (as you mention).

Keep up the good work and keep checking in here! Everyone here is so caring and helpful, you can't help but feel better and more motivated!:) :) :)

Great to hear that, Leslie! I read your posts a lot because we both have scoliosis. My first year working through it was hard, so I can relate. And exercise has helped me with more than just my spine. I haven't even begun talking about how it helped me through post-partum depression, which has broken just recently. Three years... And I have Cathe to thank for that.:7 If I have a success story, it's a story about my psyche, not my body, although Cathe whipped that into shape as well. Have a great day.

I am so glad you have worked through that, I can feel the pain you must have felt and probably still feel, I am only three months into exericising and this is the first time I can sleep without pain in my back in years. and it is so nice to walk through a store and not ride in a wheel chair :) and I love the head clearing it does for me, I went through the last few days being down but I think I like the way working out helps my head. I owe so much to Cathe and her workouts and so much for this forum, I had no support at all till I found Cathe and all of you guys, thank you so much!! I sure hope you don't mind I hang around and chat:) I love having some people to talk to that has something in common with me:)

Good for you Leslie!!! I come here and to VF to keep my motivation up...it does get hard sometimes when you're working out alone.
 
Consider this a pat on the back for you! Good job! I think the first step is the hardest. Remembering how great you feel after a workout really helps!! You're going to do great. Keep checking in with your Cathe buddies for enouuragement!

I know, myself, that sometimes you get in that mood and it's very hard to snap out of it. I'm glad you are back on track.
