<---hasn't read through all the posts for the last couple of days, but has seen enough to know that there is a lot of hurt going on for a lot of us.
<---grabs all of you into a very tight group hug and whispers, "hang in there, friends."
<---will give update on Gilda: she has kidney disease, as in 2/3 of her kidneys have been damaged.
<---has no idea how or why, and can't think about that right now; just wants to help to make her as "better" as possible.
<---and DH had to take her back to the vet after the blood results came in so that she could get more fluid and so that we could learn how to give her the fluid at home. We did good, and we'll be doing it ourselves when <---gets home.
<---made Miss Gilda a low protein dinner last night...<---had to take meat of a rotisserie chicken last night. Quite an experience for someone who has eaten the stuff in years
<---knows there are veggie options, but wanted to do something as fast and simple as possible last night. Little girl ate very little of it, and it came back up this morning. She did eat just the chicken out of <---'s hand when <---went home for lunch. The doctor says that even if the chicken has the protein in it that Gilda doesn't need, it's better than nothing.
<---also has to give her Pepcid AC and an antibiotic for a bladder infection.
<---thinks that Gilda is sick of mommy, who is always sticking food or water under her nose, or pricking her with a needle, or sticking pills on her tongue. And then, when Miss Gilly-girl thinks that maybe she can just be left alone, mom comes along a sticks something under her to catch her pee for a urine sample. Add to all that sleeping next to <---, something Gilda usually loves, except last night <---wouldn't stop petting her and /or crying....no wonder Gilda feels bad.
<---realizes that my canine problems are minor compared to what many of you are going through with parents, grandparents, other loved ones
<---wishes <---could put it in a perspective where it didn't hurt so much, but right now is feeling extremely rotten.
<---will go, because you guys don't need this right now...but thanks for letting me get it out.
