I just thought I'd give a little update on Gizmo - although I don't have much. He's doing GREAT! We took him (and the others) to the mountains yesterday and he had a blast. My new avatar picture is of him there yesterday. Unfortunately he tried to jump into the back of our pickup (it has a topper - just for the dogs) and didn't make it and slammed his little jaw on the cement before we left. 
I usually pick him up and put him in before opening the tailgate b/c he is a determined little fella and will try to jump in every time. But DH was letting them all in and I was in the house. He also jumped off a log in the mountains and did a face plant. Last night I noticed he's got a huge bump under his jaw where it was broken. But DH said it was that big a few days ago too. So we're going to watch it for a couple days and if it doesn't go down we'll take him to the vet. It doesn't bother him when we touch it, so that's a good sign I hope.
He knows what it means when we say "Do you want to go with mom and dad" and he starts barking and running as fast as he can (no traction on wood floors) to beat the other dogs out the doggie door to the garage. He doesn't want to be last! He LOVES to go for rides.
He's totally house trained (hooray!!!). The only "problem" he has is if we let him out to the backyard on our deck (which is where our main floor is), he won't go down the stairs and do his business unless we go with him. He'll just do it on the deck. x( Needless to say we always go downstairs with him. But he'll go out to the dog run out through the garage all by himself and "go" so who knows. He's finally starting to sleep in past 4:45 am! As the days get longer, that will help. And it's actually not him but Macy who wakes him up b/c she wants to go on gopher hunts in the backyard. All 3 dogs are getting along SO MUCH better now. They play and hang out together. Macy even lets Gizmo and Amber have a little fun now and then.
DH now calls Gizmo Gizzard. I didn't like it at first, but it's kind of cute now and he seems to like that name. He also thinks his name is "so cute" because whenever we say that his ears go up and his tail wags and he comes to us. He's such an awesome little guy!
