Getting Our Licks In!

Wasn't very good in exercising today. Instead made jewelry all day. Will do better tomorrow as I promised myself. Sigh...

Kathy Sis, Great job on Amy's DST bis and tris. You are doing so well.

Cindy, Great job on Metamorphosis 1 and 2. Variety is really important and non stagnant. Hubby just needs to process the newness of it. He'll get use to it soon. Very proud of you both.

Take care,

Janie

Last night was KCM's Trim Down the boxing premix. Next time I do this one I'll do the workout w/the weights incorporated into the workout. Still enjoyed myself though. :) Tonight will just be KCM's Abs & Core the kickboxing & weights sections.

Janie Sis: Your truly are enjoying creating all of your jewelry. Just don't let exercising go too long to the wayside. You know it does a body good. Weather here in NY has been just awful. It goes from 37 to 67 in 2 days. This is why I still have a plemgy cough & that's why cardio has been low impact.

Michelle: You ok?

Waves to Cindy!
Take care everyone,
Kathy

Did TBS today and thinking about taking Rolly out for a walk on the beach.

Kathy Sis, Great job on KCM"s Trim Down the boxing premix. Do be careful with that awful weather you are having. Stay safe and dress in layers if you have to go out in it.

Take care,

Janie

Rolly and I had a long walk on the beach and heavy gardening today. I taught a class in zentangle today. All but one person enjoyed and learned. I felt sorry for her, it seemed everyone else got it. Hoping it wasn't me. She didn't want her drawing so she asked if I wanted it. I took it. I kept telling her throughout the class that she was doing well. But she didn't have that confidence. She was doing well.

Hi everyone. Sorry for being MIA. Just been very busy and for once I've been busy NOT WORKING. Sister and a friend were here Wednesday until Friday morning. We went to the Nationals-Mets baseball game on Thursday. Even though the Nats lost and the weather was on the cool side, we had an absolute blast and I was so happy NOT TO BE WORKING. The Nationals baseball park is knock-dead beautiful. I believe there will be more trips to the ballpark with sister this baseball season. Friday I worked about a half a day; exercise was RWH Plyo HIIT 1 and core 2. Saturday I went to a dog class sponsored by the Richmond Dog Obedience Club. Pat Hastings gave the 9-hour seminar entitled Structure in Action. The class was about the proper structure of a dog. Really fascinating--the time just flew by.

Janie: so wonderful for you to teach a zentangle class. I'm pretty sure that if I took your class I wouldn't get it either, some of us just aren't artfully skilled. It's not you; it's us. What is important is that you were sharing with others and having fun. Glad to see you got some Licks in too!

Kathy: I am fine; just having too much fun off and on the past few days. It was good for my soul and my perspective. We've had the up and down weather last week two (more down than up) but yesterday and today were gorgeous. I hope you are able to shake the last of your cough and can start enjoying springtime.

Hi to Cindy; hope you are doing well.
Michelle

Did gardening today and packed I think close to ( 3 bags) 70 pounds each of clipping for my garden. Lifted them unto a cart pulled the wagon 1/4th mile home, unloaded them and placed them into my garden. I'm so tired and very moody. Over did it for sure.

Michelle, I missed you and glad to see you back on board. Glad you enjoyed your time with your sister and friend. Great job on RWH Plyo HIIT 1 & 2. Love the class you went to on proper structure of a dog. Sounds interesting.

Take care,

Janie

Had a busy and productive weekend. Went to Pilates on Saturday morning and I'm feeling it from my shoulders to my legs! Yesterday was Metamorphosis again and I'll do it again tonight. Hoping to get in a RWH workout too if time allows. We have a busy week starting with Lily's first t-ball game tonight, it will be fun.

Kathy - I hope to see some results from TA, I just need to get more time so I can get some cardio in at night also! Enjoy the kickboxing - that is one of my favorite workouts ever.

Janie - That's too bad she didn't enjoy it, I'm sure it was her and not your teaching. Enjoy those marvelous walks :)

Michelle - Sounds like you're having a great vacation. We just ordered tickets to watch a game at Fenway in June when we take a real vacation to visit friends. I'm not into baseball but I think it will be a lot of fun for everyone.

Cindy

Happy Monday--looking forward to Tuesday. My schedule is a little changed around for a few days--work early, exercise late afternoon. It will work because I only have to commute 10 minutes for the next couple of days (vice my normal 45-60 minute commute). Did Cardio & Weights step timesaver this afternoon. Love it just for that Buttercup song at the end.

Cindy: your kids will LOVE the baseball game. It is a great family outing. And maybe you will start to love baseball a little bit too. T-ball is such a great activity for boys and girls. I have a friend at work whose oldest son just started t-ball this past weekend. Must have been that nationwide start of t-ball. Great job on your workouts. Are ya'll have spring in Montana?

Janie: Yard work is quite the workout. I bet you sleep well or slept well after your day of gardening. Maybe do a yoga practice tomorrow to help those sore muscles?

Waves to Kathy!

Saturday I did RWH Plyo HIIT #1. I'll need to stick to low impact as this cough just doesn't want to leave yet. Sunday DH & I went to visit our oldest nephew who came into NY from the Florida Keys. It was such a nice visit. No workout. We went to a bbq. Last night was Amy's Drop Set Strength (Legs/Chest/Back). I really like this workout. Tonight will be do I dare say it Tracy Anderson's Precision Toning 2 segments which will come in at 30 min. I have no idea what I'm in store for but at least she cues & smiles which is a plus.

Michelle: Glad to hear you finally took some days off from work & that you enjoyed the baseball game. NY's Mets opening day at Citifield (which is a beautiful ballpark) was yesterday. Last year DH & I went to see the Yankees at the Yankee Stadium. Its so much fun to see it live instead of on tv.

Cindy: Hope the kids will enjoy the baseball game & you too. Good job on your workouts. Is it spring yet in Montana?

Janie Sis: Oh no! A sprained wrist! Did it come from you hauling all those bags? It must have. Do take care my sweet friend. The woman you tried teaching zentangle to I'm sure its not from your teaching. Some people just can't understand it. My DS who's not artistic at all wouldn't get it either. Take some nice long walks on the beach w/Rolly.

Take care everyone,
Kathy

A nice rainy spring day here in Virginia. That spring rain smell is in the air and everything is so green right now. Did RWH LIHI Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps timesaver (no finishers) after I got home from work at--get this--5 pm this afternoon. I had a meeting right here in Stafford today--10 minute communte and I enjoy the same tomorrow. Sometimes the good Lord smiles on my work/commute schedule. Love it when He does.

Kathy: I just hate when I get a cough because when I do it takes forever to go away. Seems like you are in the same type of situation. I sure hope this warmer weather helps to chase that cough away. Looking forward to hearing about the Precision Toning workout that you are doing today. Sound intriguing, plus you know I love those toning workouts.

Janie: I saw your post last night on FB about your sprained wrist. Too much gardening, yardwork, and arts? You might not be able to lift weights for a while but at least you can do some cardio plus lots of Rolly walk-abouts.

Waves to Cindy! What is the name of Lily's t-ball team? GO LILY!
Michelle

A nice spring day here in Virginia. A little on the cool side but no rain--definitely springtime weather. It won't last long so I am savoring every day. Did To The Max Less Impact Timesaver this afternoon. Nice mix of step, tabata, compound leg work and core work with an upper body focus. I'm thinking I'm going to need a yoga or stretch day tomorrow. Not a whole lot going on. Hope everyone is doing well.

Michelle

Bought planters for more herbs and lettuce. Now need to put them in, how I don't know. About my wrist: It was raining and was using the outside stairs going up it. I must have slipped. Fell and tried to catch myself with my right hand. My hand fell in position of the perpendicular step. I heard a crunch then my head whipped down hard and I hit my chin on one of the steps as well. Today I'm typing. Couldn't to it this morning and I feel getting better very quickly. I can't wait to get into my garden again and do my exercises. I plan on a very long fast walk on the beach tomorrow with Rolly.

Kathy Sis, Great job on RWH KPlyo HiiT 1. Sorry about your cough sticking around, It must be frustrating. For Sun. visit with family. Family time is so good to have. And for Amy's Drop Set Strength legs, chest and back. Enjpy Tracy tonight.

Michelle, I love warm Spring rain. So nice and smells heavenly. Great job on RWH LIHI Chest, shoulders and triceps timesaver, no finisher.

Michelle, Great job on TTM less Impact timesaver. Try to get in some remarkable yoga.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Montana spring is in full effect, one day in the 60's the next 12 inches of wet snow :) We had a record low last night of 18 degrees but my little green house with spinach and carrots did fine through it. I've started seedlings in the house and my fingers are crossed I get some nice big plants from them this year. I haven't done any exercise because I'm coming down with a cold, my sinuses are hurting so I've been trying to get to bed early and allow my body rest as I can.

Lily's team is the Red Sox, perfect for our Fenway game in June so she can wear her team hat! She did great at her first game on Monday and added in some cartwheels while in the outfield, better than grass picking :) Brodie is testing for his green belt tonight so it will be late for us. Dave is off to a ski/bike/run race on Saturday morning and the kids and I are staying home to do field cleanup for t-ball then attend a birthday party. After that we'll drive to join Dave for the night so it will be a busy weekend.

Janie - So sorry about your wrist, glad it seems to be healing quickly and thankful you didn't get hurt worse!

Michelle - Short commutes are a blessing! Great job hitting those hard workouts!

Kathy - Glad TA was cuing! I don't mind doing the count I know is needed in my head and then moving on, variety is the spice in life! I hope your cough goes soon, so miserable for it to hang on like this!

Cindy

Yoga Relax today--my upper body really needed a yoga day. Back to RWH weight work tomorrow.

Cindy: Not a big Boston Red Sox fan here, but I will root for Lily's team and for Lily. It's good ya'll are finally getting some snow, isn't it? That will help your water supply out. Good for you growing your own veggies. I just don't have that kind of a green thumb or motivation. Enjoy your weekend but be sure to try to get some rest.

Janie: OUCH! A sprain is better than a break. Positive energy your way for a steady healing process. I hope your chin is not too bruised up.

Waves to Kathy!
Michelle

A little early yet, but plan on walking the beach with Rolly. It's beautiful out there!

Michelle, Great job on Yoga Relax.

Cindy, Missed you! Weather is insane over there! Do take care of yourself. And be sure to take cinnamon and honey through out the day. It really helps. Sounds like Lily and the team are doing well. And Brodie with his green belt. Let us know what happens. Looks like Dave will be having a time skiing, biking and running. Enjoy the weekend activities with field cleanup and the birthday party and joining Dave. HAVE FUN!

Take care everyone,

Janie

Good morning everyone. It is a beautiful spring morning here in Virginia. The sun is shining and the skies are mostly clear. I will definitely be spending some time on the back deck today. Yesterday, I did RWH LIHI back, shoulders, and biceps. I'm thinking cardio today--but not sure what yet. Maybe a premix from XTRAIN AOLIH that includes core work.

So, we have very exciting news here: Seiko whelped her puppies this past Thursday morning (April 16): 3 males, 1 female. In just 7 weeks and 6 days, we will have a new golden retriever puppy--not that I'm counting--LOL! I know I didn't even tell you all that Seiko was expecting a litter but I didn't want to say anything until the pups were on the ground. They are beautiful puppies! My breeder, Diane, has sent me pictures each day so far. I have to get sister to help me figure out how to get the pictures from my iphone to computer--for some reason I can't get my iphone to synch right now--and then I will try to post them here. The males each weighed 16 ounces and the female weighed 15 ounces at birth. Diane says they are very much carbon copy puppies which is what a breeder wants--consistent in size, color, physical appearance. Diane stays with Seiko and the pups round the clock for the first two weeks and her husband takes care to the rest of the golden gang (19 of them).

So, now I can really start preparing for our new puppy. I need to start buying stuff and contact Pup-n-Iron where we will go for puppy kindergarten so I can arrange to go observe some classes. I also will start puppy-izing the house in earnest. We have a long list of call-names but Diane has not settled on a litter theme yet so we haven't started thinking about the puppy's registered name. It will start with the name of Diane's kennel: Golden Dome; but after that I do not know.

Right now Diane's plan is to keep the female if the puppy grades out well at 8-weeks. Diane will evaluate the puppies and have someone else evaluate them at 8-weeks to the day and we pick up our new baby the next day which will be June 12th but who's counting? Woof, woof!

Michelle

So, instead of an AOLIH premix I did the cardio supersets express and step premix. It was a really great cardio workout. Highly recommend it. Might be fun to do a week of premixes from LIS, XTRAIN, and RWH. Something to think about. Went to a surprise 50th birthday party for one of our neighbors, now sipping a glass of wine with my DH. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday.
Michelle

Thursday went to see a otolaryngologist for my sinuses. Thank goodness he gave me a strong nasal spray & I was told to take Ayr 4x a day. By Saturday I felt like a new woman!!! No coughing at all. Completely cured. Friday I was still under the weather & w/all the rain we had thought it best to stay home.

Saturday I did Xtrain's AOLIC just 1/2 of it then went onto doing KCM's Weights (bis/tris/shoulders). Sunday I did Xtrain's Legs (standing only premix) + the bonus barre. Tonight will be ROKO the 1st premix. Feels so good to be back in action.

Michelle: I couldn't be happier for you w/this wonderful news of a pup!!! I know your counting down the days until June 12th. Have fun w/all the classes & puppy-izing the house. I'll have to keep that premix from Cardio Supersets in mind for this week. Glad you enjoyed the surprise 50th birthday party.

Janie Sis: Happy to hear that your wrist is healing quickly. Have fun at the beach w/Rolly.

Cindy: Sounds like both Lily & Brodie are enjoying their after school activities. Your weather is even crazier than ours. OMG going from spring to 12" of snow? No thank you. I didn't know you had a greenhouse & that you grew your own veggies. That's wonderful. Hope Dave enjoyed his ski/bike/run weekend. Sounds brutal. Hope you enjoyed the birthday party.

Take care everyone,
Kathy

After 8 straigth days of exercise, today was a break day. I'm going to do some oldies this week: the workouts from Cathe's Timesaver dvd. I have not done these in ages and they are basically bits and pieces of other workouts in the Intensity Series. Should be fun.

Kathy: finally, your sinuses are cleared up--Yay! Sometimes modern medicine does work wonders. Now you can enjoy getting back into your workouts again. Double Yay!

Waves to Cindy and Janie.
