Getting Our Licks In!

Today was a break day--so, I took a break. It seemed to soon to take a break after only two workouts but that's what the rotation calls for plus I had an early morning at Quantico so it worked.

Janie: nice job on total body sculpting and congratulations on the Seahawk win. I have to admit, we are not big Seahawks fans but we just thought they would win. They are pretty much unbeatable at home plus they are pretty darn good.

Cindy: whoa--you were super busy this weekend AND you got your licks in. You must sleep really well every night. Did you get a coat of paint on the wall?

Kathy: Nothing wrong with taking it down a notch on a workout, particularly after doing a few days of RWH. Interesting that your jump kicks and crescent legs are higher. I would never have guessed that. Interesting.

Last night was RWH LIH 2. I must say that when you don't do a RWH workout every day the RWH workouts are so much more fun!!! I loved this one. I just couldn't bring myself to do KCM's kickboxing b/c I did that one to death. Tonight's KCM's Muscle Up Lift to be Fit 2 premix that contains the bonus abs.

Janie Sis: Good job on total body sculpting. Definitely check out the Slim Sculpting workout. All the moves were doable not easy mind you. That 15# kb gets heavier & heavier by the end of the workout. LOL Did you enjoy the football game?

Cindy: Sounds like a fun Fri. night you had celebrating friends' birthdays. Good job on your workouts & for getting Lily's room prepped for painting. Wasn't your dad supposed to paint the room? Or did your dad prime it? How are the big kids doing w/their skiing lessons?

Michelle: Sounds like you enjoyed the dog shows & talking w/your breeder. Before you know it you'll have that little pup in your hands. :)

I got my Plyo #2 + Abs #1 in last night then spent just shy of 2 hours painting. The main room is done and the dresser has it's first coat of paint. Tonight I'll do LIHI chest, triceps, shoulders then I'll be back downstairs to paint the closet and get another coat on the dresser.

Is anyone listening in to the Nutrition Guru's webinar this morning?

Janie - Great job getting those licks in!

Michelle - I fall asleep fast but have a tendency to wake because of kids and any little noise gets me up, oh well! I thought the break seemed quick too so I did Pilates, nice that it worked well with your schedule.

Kathy - I'm really enjoying the RWH workouts too, it's nice that I'm starting to remember what to do next so I don't have to watch to see what the heck we're supposed to do :) My dad put one coat of paint on and then took all the tape down thinking that would be good enough, it was not. So I had to retape to put the second coat on. Brodie and Lily are loving their ski lessons. Dave set it up so in the morning Lily takes her lesson and he and Brodie then ski together and then in the afternoon Brodie takes his lesson and he and Lily ski together. I think the kids love the extra one on one time with him.

Today is cardio and did The Wedding Video. LOL

Cindy, Great job on Plyo 2 and abs 1. Also for painting 2 hrs. These painting chores seem to be coming along nicely. Good for you.

Kathy Sis, Great job on RWH LIH 2. Yes, Joe and I watch the Seahawks together. It was a fantastic win! I have about two kettle bell workouts, but seem boring. Oh yes, after awhile 15# bells are insanely heavy. LOL!

Michelle, These new workouts are very challenging to me. So I'm thinking that's why the extra day of rest.

Last night was Muscle Up Lift 2 Be Fit from KCM #2. This workout Kelly has you working your legs first then onto biceps & triceps. You can really heavy up b/c Kelly only does 2 sets of 8 reps on each exercise. I have quite a bit of DOMS today especially in my legs. :) Tonight's TLC #2 which I'm sure will be a lot of kicks.

Cindy: I'm sorry that your dad thought that one coat of paint would be enough. Its never enough. The room must be almost finished. Where is Lily sleeping while the painting is going on? You did great w/your workouts. That's great the kids are enjoying their skiiing lessons & extra time w/their dad. :) I registered once again w/the NGs but I listen in on the recorded call. I'm at work every time they have the call live & can't listen in. I think I'll join again & pay the $47 which is the discounted price for past members. I really want the 25 new recipes. The recipes are awesome. These ladies are terrific.

Janie Sis: Glad you enjoyed your workout. I'm not familiar w/The Wedding Video but it must be fun. Which kettlebell workouts do you have? I have Art of Strength Rainmaker & Amy Bento Ross's kb workouts. Amy's is okay but the AOS is excellent besides KCM's being excellent too.

Michelle: Those breaks in between the RWH workouts are much needed. But I'm finding that if I just pick & choose 1 or 2 RWH workouts within the week I have more energy & I feel its much more balanced that way. Just my opinion.

Last night was LIHI chest, shoulders, triceps and I wasn't sure my muscles were ready for it again but I pushed through. I wasn't able to do as heavy of weights as the first time but I got it done and felt really good afterwards :) I then painted the closet and worked on the dresser more, I'm slowly getting there! Tonight is LIHI legs and then I'll be down removing tape, doing touch-ups, and hopefully the last on the dresser. I've been following the 21 day fix and I'm a little too low on my calories with staying in their recommended range so I've added an additional veggie container (this can't be detrimental) and an additional carb, that at least gets me to my minimum.

Janie - The painting seems to be taking forever but what can I expect when I can on get to it 1-2 hours in the evening and then not every evening, it'll get there :) Great job on the wedding video!

Kathy - Great job hitting it hard and getting some DOMS :) Lily's room is part of our "finishing the basement" project so this room will be completely new for her. She's sharing our smallest room with Brodie - it has bunk beds - while Lucas sleeps on an air mattress in our room. Once we have her room carpeted she will move down there and Brodie will move down to his room (he doesn't want to sleep down there by himself at this point) and then Lucas will finally get an official room and bed as he moved into the room with the bunk beds. It's crazy! I know things need 2 coats so I'm not sure what my dad was thinking, oh well!

Wednesday night I did LIHI Legs (somehow I forgot about the cardio blasts until she started in!) then I removed tape from the walls in Lily's room. Thursday night was LIHI Low Impact Hiit but I skipped the bonus abs because I just didn't have time. I'm taking today and tomorrow off since my parents will get to our house tonight. Lily has her first cheer competition tomorrow here so my entire day will be filled with that :) I'll get back to the exercise on Sunday and will also make some progress with prepping to paint the walls, trim and doors in Lily's room.

Janie - Sometimes a good of stretching is what the body needs :) Glad you enjoyed it!

Cindy, Great job on Wedn. LIHI Legs and more preparing for painting Lily's room Thurs. for LIHI Low Impact hIIT. Sometimes not having enough time is just life. Don't worry about it and continue on. Most of the time you are spot on. Enjoy your parents visiting and Lily's first cheer competition tomorrow. Have fun!

Well, these RWH workouts are wearing me out. I needed consecutive break days at the end of the week on Thursday and Friday. Working 10-12 hour days this week might have had something to do with needing another break day too. Today I did RWH Lift It Hit It Legs. I really enjoy Cathe's leg workouts. All work and very little else makes me a person with little to share this week.

Kathy: you are probably right; two RHW workouts a week are probably a good mix with other workouts. I'm in New Orleans on business next week so mixing it up with other workouts might work out well--ha, ha--pun intended.

Cindy: enjoy your parents' visit. Nice that they will be there to go to Lily's cheer competition. This is her first competition of the new year--isn't it? Very exciting.

Janie: I like your workouts this week. It's kind of like a "getting back into exercising" rotation although that Wedding Vidoe workout is a pretty long and good workout.

Michelle, Working so many hours I'm sure made an impact on your workouts. Rest when needed. Great job on RHW Lift It Hit It Legs. I love her leg workouts too. Hope you can have less work so you can be more yourself. xoxo

Today was RWH Low Impact HIIT 2 and Abs Bonus 2. Now DH and I are watching the SeaHawks-Packers football game. Got some of my clothes laid out to pack for my trip this week. It is going to be in the 60s M-W in New Orleans and then in the 50s Th-Fri. One of my colleagues has a birthday tomorrow so I need to call the restaurant to make reservations for us. He wanted to go to Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse but it is booked for the next 8 weeks so I'm going to try to get reservations at Besh Steakhouse in Harrah's Casino. It's right across the street from our hotel so not far to walk. We'll probably go to Mannings on Tuesday night with a group of 15-20 people--and then Mr. B's Bistro on Wednesday night--one of my favorites.

Rest day today. OMG! I saw the miracle game today between Sea Hawks and Packers, Sea Hawks won! OMG! So intense, was such an amazing game! WOW! Fun to be part of the 12.

Michelle, Great job on RWH Low Impact Hsiit 2 and Abs bonus 2. Enjoy your colleague's birthday celebration. Try to find some time for yourself in New Orleans and enjoy. Sounds like divine eating at fabulous restaurants. Have fun!

Quick check in. Did RWH Lift It Hit It Back, Shoulders, and Biceps this morning. Now I'm in New Orleans. Dinner at Besh Steakhouse tonight in Harrah's Casino which is right across the street from our hotel. I've got to check out the fitness room to see what kind of weights they have.

Janie: congratulations on the SeaHawks win. It was a really good game. I hope they beat New England in the Super Bowl.

Last week wasn't a good week for me. :( Wed. night when I came off the train I fell down the entire cement staircase. I was stunned & just laid there. 2 people helped me up. Left ankle felt a little wonky & my right hand was hurting. Thank goodness I was wearing my featherdown long coat b/c I believe I would have been in the hospital with broken bones. Needless to say no workout that night nor Thurs., Fri. or Sat. Sunday I started the 2nd week of KCM's rotation. I did Stepboxing #1. I forgot how much fun the choreography is in this one. Had fun. Monday had off from work & next up was Slim Sculpting #2 (kettlebell workout). This is another great kb workout. I have major DOMS today in my lower back from all the swings & my legs are feeling it too.

Michelle: Have fun in New Orleans. You've been pulling some major hours there at work its no wonder how wiped out you were feeling from RWH.

Janie Sis: I didn't watch the football game but heard that Seahawks won & on to the Superbowl! Wonderful! Good job on your workouts too.

Had a great weekend and Lily's team got 1st, it helped that they didn't have any competition in their level :) All the teams struggled a bit with drops during stunts but I think it was first time jitters so the next one (March 1st) will be awesome. Lily's room is painted so I just have some touch-ups to do today, Dave was sweet and helped me with the second coat on the ceiling, my shoulders were killing me and I'm sure that was partly to the RWH shoulders workout I did Sunday. I took Friday and Saturday off but did RWH Shoulders, Biceps, Back on Sunday and then Plyo 2 with abs 1 last night. Back to RWH legs today, such a killer workout!

Lucas got a fever yesterday so I'm home with him and waiting for him to wake up, I had to make sure he was still breathing since it's late for him. We'll go to the doctor today to have him checked out.

Michelle - Enjoy the trip and the delicious food! I think 10-12 hour work days knocks most people out and they don't get their licks in on top of it all!

Janie - My husband is a Packer's fan so there was disappointment at our house, at least it was an exciting game!

Kathy - I'm so glad you're OK, that's so scary and I'm thankful people were there to help! Smart to take some time off to heal :) This week will be better!

Cindy, Yeah for Lily's team getting 1ST. Yea for finish painting Lily's room and doing touch ups. And great job on Sun. RWH Shoulders, biceps and back and Plyo 2 with abs 1 the next day. Oh dear =, I hope Lucas fever ends soon. Let us know what the doctor says.

Tuesday night I did KCM's kickboxing #2 (another great workout).

Yesterday at work after lunch I apparently came down with a stomach bug. Don't ask me how this happened but all I can say is thank goodness I had some Pepto Bismol on me. Otherwise I dreaded the commute home. I still have the stomach bug in me today (Wed. morning). My boss has the flu & he can just stay home.

I'm going to try to do tonight KCM's Split Sessions Lower Body (love this one). Its only 30 min. & I think I'll be able to do it.

Cindy: Congrats on Lily's team making 1st place. That's wonderful! Yea for Lily's room being finished. Your rockin it w/your workouts too. My goodness though you must be exhausted!!!

Michelle: Hope your enjoying New Orleans.

Janie Sis: Good workouts. I'm doing much better from my fall. My right leg is still bruised but the hand is all healed. I need to check out your FB page to view your jewlery & artwork. I'll try tonight.

I did LIHI Legs yesterday and LIHI Back, biceps, shoulders today. I did make it to work for 1/2 a day but will be out tomorrow again. He just isn't kicking this fever and it's a virus so nothing to do but wait it out. He'll seem fine then get the fever again, poor kid! I wish I was able to utilize this time at home better but it's hard getting anything done with a 2 year old. Oh well. Dave is leaving tomorrow for his yearly guys ski trip so I'm trying t help him get things prepared for that also. Here's hoping I have a healthy household soon :)

Kathy - So sorry you got a stomach bug! I swear people just seem to be sick everywhere and it's not getting better :( I hope you were given a break so you could get your workout in,

Janie - Nice work with the workout :) Has your weather been behaving? We've been warm in the 30's-40's. Not sure what we'll do when the cold comes back!
