Getting Our Licks In!

Renee, Great workout. Stretch tomorrow perhaps? LOL;) I know how much you love them.:)

Glad to see you got some groceries and without any mishaps. I do like both the Steel Oats and Old Fashioned Oats. It depends on my mood. Yes, you will need protien for Meso 2.

Sing Happy Birthday to Tiki for me!

Sherry, Let us know too, when you can workout and go to work. K? Are you in any pain now?

See yas tomorrow. soft (((((HUGS))))) to you.

Michelle, Do you think our Pacific (which is in the North) treacherous? My dad use to fish in Neah Bay, I had no idea he was in so much danger. He no longer fishes there, but still.

Your experience on a big ship from Calf. to San Diego sounds like a fantastic memory. I agree with the helicopter, I had the same experience the one and only time flying in one. Yuck! Did your ears hurt?

OOOOOOOOOO! Enjoy your 3-star General.;)

Laura, There is a DVD which I really like to do that does yoga for shoulder pain. Also back and other pain, by doing yoga a special way. Here is the info. if you might be interested:

Yoga To the Rescue - Desiree Rumbaugh - Anusara Yoga Teacher

Idon't have the Neck and Shoulder one yet, but I'm getting it soon. I do have the others and she is fantastic. She knows her stuff.

BBL:
There is a too big butt and the solution for it. It does sound like it would slim that area:

"You already have the volume; you just want to slim down and get a better shape. Follow the SLIM & LIFT plan to burn the fat and lean out the bulges. You'll shape your butt in all the right places." Then they guide to see page 26 for the Slim & lift workout prescription. It gives you samples on what to eat, a 6 day meal plan and a daily workout.

These are great workouts, and can't wait to try them out. I first have to finish doing everyone of Cathe's Shock Cardio first. LOL I'm a video nut for sure.

Have a great day everyone,

Janie

 Oh geeze - came on and ate some things I shouldn't have  felt very guilty - and yes - well, I am guilty. :( Later I strapped on my shoes and decided to do Christi Taylor's "Still Steppin" - and had to modify . Yes - that makes me mad but I would have been all over the place if I didn't!!! Well - in my own defense - I would say that I got most of the combos without having to modify - and I don't know why I expect to do the workout the first time through perfectly - it is just that I want to get all of it so badly - common sense goes out the window!!!!

Laura - bad thing when boomeritis sets in - totally baby that shoulder - you won't be sorry. I'm notorious for pushing too far and look where it has got me - all broken down and feeble - hardly able to figure out a step combination :p;):D That's a ton a skiing you've got planned and I do hope it comes to pass - and that you ride down that Corona like a pro!!!! How fun that your brother is coming - how exciting!!! How many brothers and sisters do you have?? Will he and his family stay with you???

Ironlady - Great that you stopped by - glad you found us - yes, definitely let us know how things pan out at the Dr.'s.

Michelle - Planes, boats, helicopters - and generals. No - I am afraid my job isn't nearly as glamorous. I might put you all to sleep with my stories. I think the ship passing under the bridge is super thrilling. I've never been in a helicopter - and I think I'll be okay from never going on one - 2 thumbs down on this forum already!!! Geeze - you guys are hogging all the snow - I'm amazed at how much you are getting - we got a little sprinkle today so far - we want more!!!

Catchick - I'm an old fashioned oat girl myself - that is all I eat for breakfast anymore - Oats and some fruit. I've never tried steel cut oats - but I'm going to - my curiousity is up. My sister has a full fledged all out dog birthday party for her pups - with cake and anything - so enjoy spending time with your little one.

Janie - when you do head out to the ocean??? Or are you already there? Which yoga did you do - or did you put together your own routine? Well - I do hope that you get away - and have some fun with Joey - you need it - and perhaps the fresh air will help alleviate your cough.

Have been reading more of The Sign of Four - getting near the end. Somebody at work lent me "The Art of Racing in the Rain" and I think I'll read that next. Take a brief break from Sherlock Holmes. Hope you all have a good one. :)

Day # 3 of snow days. Roads are still not fit for school buses. Especially after the snow/ice mix we got last night...about an inch, but enough to make driving treacherous. My active recovery week has been wonderful. Lots of cardio and no school...ah, its bliss! We bank time in my school system so unless we miss more then 20 days, there will likely be no make-up days. Yippee!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Today I did the cardio premix to Cardio and Weights. I was tempted to do the whole thing, but I said to myself..."NO! No weight lifting until meso 2 starts...!" And that is only 3 days away! Eek!

My cats love that I am home. They are getting lots of extra love and attention.

I think flying in a helicopter would be so much fun. I have my private pilots license so any kind of "air trip" would be awesome in my book. I used to fly a lot but gave it up due to the cost, taxes and upkeep of an airplane and staying current (flight skills, etc) I can get back into it at any time and hopefully I have plenty of that. If not, at least I did it. Just like the motorcycle phase I went thru. It was fun but I was more "scared" of the other vehicles then riding/driving my bike. I'd like to try sky diving and bungee cord jumping too. Perhaps one day I'll get the opportunity.

Anybody else have some secret and wild desires to do in this lifetime?

The significance of a man is not in what he attains but in what he longs to attain.

Have a wonderful day!

We only had about an inch and a half of snow overnight. Ripken and I did our "s" walk this morning, then I did Low Impact Step and the S&H tricep abs and kickbox planks combo on Ab Hits.

Everybody must have decided to stay home today, because traffic was nonexistent. I wish it was like that every day. The briefing for the General went really well. Shoegal--my job really isn't glamourous but it does have its moments. The best days are days like today when a General tells you that he has directed some type of change to occur because of the work that you did.

I'd also love to send some snow to all my exercise friends. Can you believe we are supposed to get another 12-24 inches this weekend? UGH!!!!! I can't remember a winter in Virginia where we've had so many snow events. Crazy, crazy, crazy. Ripken and I are doing our long walk in the morning before we get snowed in again.

Janie: I don't know if the whole of the North Pacific is dangerous but I know there is an inlet in Oregon that is pretty dangerous. I think both the North Atlantic and Pacific can get pretty bad in the winter months. I'll have to check out where Neah Bay is and see what the water conditions are like there at different times of the year. My ears didn't hurt after the helicopter ride, but the crew made sure everyone was wearing ear plugs. Hope you're feeling better Janie.

Holy Moly--the Marines just flew over the house. Sounded like they were going to land on the roof. They've been doing ops all day and now they are doing night ops. Lovely weather for the new lieutenants to train in: cold, wet, muddy. They must go through washing machines and dryers like crazy in the barracks at Quantico.

Hope everyone has sweet dreams and a great Thursday.

Well I had an AWESOME ski day today, I really found the flow of the mountain, such a beautiful thing when you get in to that state. Man my legs were on fire though! I telemark skiing which is really lunging down the mountain over and over again! I can only ski for about two hours than I usually call it a day. Nice to have a local mountain that makes that possible, even if it is a smaller less glamorous ski resort.;) Than I taught my Pilates class. My shoulder felt better today, until I went to do the pilates pushups and felt that sharp pain agian!:mad::mad: Darn Darn Darn so don't need an injury right now, tomorrow I have Back & Biceps up but I am thinking I should do legs instead...hopefully my shoulder will be better by Saturday.

Janie I checked out the link. Thanks for that. I don't know if I will get it, hopefully it will resolve with some rest. It is a similar injury I had years ago after a rafting trip. I remember at least one of the exercise a Dr gave me so I have been doing that. Are you better?

Shoegal: your post made me smile!:D I know exactly how that guilty feeling goes....been there recently! I have one older brother. He has 3 children. His first is identical to my girls. When they are together people think they are triplets. It is really amazing! Than he has a 2nd daughter who is completely different with brown hair and blue eyes and quite the spirit and a little 2 year old red headed boy. My mom is renting this beautiful home in Nederland, our town, and we will all stay there.
It will be chaotic, crazy and fun!

Catchick: wow you have done a lot already in your life! I had a date once where a guy took me up in a little tiny airplane. It was fun, he let me hold the, well what the heck do you call it, the wheel? it was more like a joystick almost! It was fun! Motorcycles I find scary though. My father was a PT who specialized in the spine and a lot of the quadprlegics and paraplegics he worked with were from Motorcycle accidents and he put the fear of GOD into me when I was a teenager and a boy I dated had a rice rocket! It worked I am terrified of them now!!

Hi to everyone else

Oh I forgot to say I read a wonderful post under Shock Cardio thread called Thoughts on Shock Cardio. It was really thoughtful and I thought you guys might like to check it out. It was right after I had read a bunch of people who were disappointed in the SC series so it was perfect timing when I read it. Please check it out if you get a minute.

Wow! All kinds of great postings to read here! All, I'm having one of "those weeks" that's just taking up all of my time with quite a few extra after-hours business activities to handle ... it's still hit and miss for posting. Getting my workout posts caught up - yes, it was Kari Anderson's Reach I did at the end of January; I really like that one for dynamic stretching. It is good for balance, too, with all of the single leg moves. Monday I did the Shock Cardio Double Wave Pyramid. Oh, that was fun! A solid 30 minute workout, and it seemed to me a person could repeat a wave for a very intense 45 minute workout. On the other hand, a person could work even harder between breaks. Seems to me that the key to high intensity intervals is to learn how to work maximally hard as opposed to really hard - cardio coach is like that, too. I suspect I could have "jumped higher" in a few places! Still, really an excellent workout.

Tuesday, I went with another old favorite, willPower and Grace. It's more yoga-like where Reach is more ballet like. Last night I pieced together a workout from three dvds: about 20 minutes of TRX Core, ten minutes of a yoga dvd (mostly sun salutations and so on), and Fitness Fix's section on the foam roller. I should have thought of using my foam roller after STS!!! Especially the Legs days!!! Main of the remaining tight muscle points began to release after last night.

Well, I had better get a jump on the day ... hopefully tonight I can get back on again :D

Today I am wearing a pair of really great heels with a giraffe print on them. New - from Christmas -and the first time I've worn them. It was actually difficult coming up with an outfit to accomodate these heels - so I'm very plain today - nothing going on with my clothes but my feet are beautifully attired - I'm thinking they might make up for being brown all over. Last night I did Push Pull - yeah, no fooling. I wanted another Cathe strength workout - and well - I was going to do Supersets - I pushed the button to go and was on the wrong side of menu and started Push Pull. I thought it was probably destiny or something so I went with it. I was loving it - I was really enjoying getting back to lifting - and with Cathe - she has such a spark in this workout that makes it so much fun. So good workout there - I enjoyed myself. Tonight I go back to tackle Christi's Still Steppin.

Laura - Where does all this red hair come from??? Is your brother's hair red? Who in your family gave the red hair gene? I envy you - all of that recreation together with family - what could be better??? I bet 2 hours on the slopes flies by. I would switch out your workout with legs - I don't think that will make a difference in the rotation but it will give your shoulder time to rest and recover. It is unfortunate that I no longer have complete control over the food in my house :( - when I lived alone I wouldn't bring in food that would sabotage myself. I have no will power unfortunately. But DH lives there too and what am I supposed to do with him?!!:D:p I went back and read the thoughts on Shock Cardio - that was a nice one.

Michelle - no, your job sounds glamorous to me - Geeze you get to have meetings with Generals - need I say more? No - I can't believe how much snow you are getting - I'm floored!! I think your sister is causing it though. Renee is singing Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let is Snow - so blame her. :D

Shadowpup - Will that Willpower and Grace yoga workout give me willpower and grace - because that would help me out alot!!! :p Haven't done Double Wave Pryamid yet - need to try it - I am actually dreading it a bit - don't know why. I was thinking about new workout purchases - and I told myself that it was simply silly since I haven't finished doing all of my new ones - I am a vidiot for sure.

Catchick - Motorcycle!!! Yeah - I don't think I have that phase in me. I would like to try bungee jumping though. A pilot handed over the controls to me once in a small plane - that is the extent of my piloting. Actually that little plane made me sick!!! I was green coming out of there. I'm sure though - that it takes some getting used to.

Okay I'm going to get going here too - the day is getting away from me.

Shoegal, for *you* WillPower and Grace probably would grant grace at least! And I bet you don't need really more :) For me, I keep the mirrors away when I'm doing "graceful" workouts like Reach and Grace, so that I can pretend it's working  Why spoil the fun with reality ?

Laura, sounds like a terrific ski day!!!! Swooping down the mountain, with grace and power - you don't need my dvds. I liked that thread you mentioned, and hunted it up; your post on it was also excellent. Such a pleasure to see a genuine posting/thread like that one.

Michelle, kudos on a good day! Generals are not easy to please. I'm glad it isn't an every day task for me. BTW I think I've arranged to have some flexibility next Wednesday morning! More later. Should have that nailed down tomorrow. What times would be good for you?

Renee, love the discussion on activities and goals you started! Fun to ponder. I'd like to finish my pilot's license. Need to stay put long enough to get consistent lessons and flying in. Loved that feeling of flying ...

Janie, you are not feeling well still? not good ... but at least you're up and posting.

Ironlady, be well!

Today is starting to come together, just in time too. I'm going to go take a short walk during lunch break, just wanted to stop by and say hello. And back this evening for personals for everyone.

Thinking about doing a stretch this morning. Haven't quite got there yet. Had a girlfriend sleep over last night and she left early this morning to drive back to her house which is in the Northern Neck area of Virginia. It's called the Northern Neck because it is the piece of land that is bordered by the Rappahannock River on the south side and the Potomac River on the north side. It actuality, she lives southeast of the Fredericksburg area, but it's called the Northern Neck of Virginia. Okay enough for the Virginia geography lesson today.

Yes, more snow. Unbelievable. Another 12-24 inches. Folks are freaking out. The grocery stores have been slammed with people and the shelves are bare of the essential items. Not sure why everyone is so excited about this storm. We lived through 16-18 inches the weekend before Christmas and the world did not come to an end. Sister indicates that it is already snowing in SW Virginia. Right now, it just doesn't seem cold enough here to snow. Now that would be funny--if after all this hoopla, we got nothing but rain.

Shadowpup: Guess what--I have an appointment Wednesday morning and I have my standing staff meeting at Quantico on Thursday morning. My flexibility is in the afternoon for the 10th and the 11th. UGH!

Laura: Those twinges from injuries are so not fun. I'm still nursing my right elbow. It has actually bothered me more this week while taking a break from lifting. Although I think I've been sleeping in a position that hasn't helped. My arms are ready to get back to lifting. I guess it's fortunate that sister and I start meso 2 tomorrow.

Shoegal: maybe your job is not glamourous, but I'm pretty sure that your shoes are. I wouldn't even contemplate putting on a pair of shoes in a giraffe print. I love shoes like that on other people but can't see myself going there. Have you always been into shoes are has this developed over time?

Janie: have we lost you to the ocean for a while? Hope you are feeling better.

Sister: stretching today?

Okay-time to do a little work, then the stretch.
Have a great day.
~michelle

Ok I led you all astray - I actually wasn't learning "Still Steppin" by Christi Taylor - I was doing Step Heaven!!!! I wondered why it was so long - never seemed to end - it is because it is 90 minutes - and I was expecting just 60. Well - the first part of the workout you do 5 combinations - I am pretty much a go on all of them. They were fun to do again. The 7th & 8th combo weren't so easy to learn. Christi says why don't you just watch first. I axed that idea - just watch - naw!!! Well - she begins and I'm hopelessly lost. So I sit down and watch her. The combination is gorgeous to watch - it weaves around and over the step multiple times but I discover that alot of her movements are all things that I've done before. It looks remarkedly different when the step is turned vertically - looks complicated. :( But watching helped a lot - so I whipped through the combination afterwards - and did the 8th combo after that. Well - I really enjoyed that workout - and I'm dying to do it yet again.

Finished The Sign of Four. Either it wasn't addressed or I didn't read well enough but what happened to Miss Mortsan's father? I know he is no longer alive - but how did he meet his demise? Didn't like this as much as The Study in Scarlet. Now we are a bit into "The Art of Racing the Rain." The jury is out on this - but both DH and I are less that thrilled. He says it sounds like a children's book. Well - it is a very different style than A. Conan Doyle - I have to tell you. I'm not enjoying the story line on auto racing but it is told from the dog's perspective - so I thought that might be interesting. But the dog is just too human.

Michelle - we are actually supposed to get 8 inches - but I'm thinking that isn't going to happen. All of the mass amounts of snow fall are supposed to happen in the south - not in Butler - so I think we'll be out of luck on the snow. But here's hoping!!! Yeah - snow storms - or the threat of one brings people to the supermarket in droves. Happens here too!!! Bread and milk are all snapped up - frankly - we don't use too much bread & milk at our house so I think I'm safe. I think my love of shoes developed over time when I realized the options that are out there and when I had the money to actually buy them. I hope you enjoyed your stretch!

Shadowup - could of have used that willpower last night!!! I agree with you - sometimes it just best not to realize what I look like doing some of these workouts - I know I am probably not poetry in motion - but it is fun to think that.:D

Hope everyone else are getting their licks in. Have a great weekend.!!!!

I guess I am too "practical" to get into shoes. Function and purpose. I really am not that type to see purpose in "glitzy or showy" shoes. But to each is own. We can't all be the same. What would the fun be?

It started snowing in central Virginia between 5 and 6 this morning. Its now 10 and we have at least 2 inches, steady, and no let up until tomorrow. Yippy skippy. I'll just go with the flow, and maybe, just maybe, I'll get outside to make a snowman...or a snowcat!

Yesterday I did the cardio premix to LIC again. I love it! Plus I added no equipment abs from Ab Circuits. Today, I should probably do a stretch like dear sister. Tomorrow Michelle and I start meso 2. Should be challenging and fun! I'm ready to start lifting again, that is for sure.

The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up. p. Valery

Have a great day!

Read all the posts, and I have to say Renee, you are the wild one of our bunch! LOL:D Flying airplanes, (my brother is a pilot and uses his plane all over the place), bunchy jumping...wow! I think you must be enjoying life.;)

You all seem to be doing very well with your workouts. That's good.

I'm feeling better, at least last night for the first time I didn't cough at night and I wasn't sitting up. YEAH!

Joey and I will start our exercises on Wed. I have appts. to go to and diets to be on until then. You know, for the tummy thing. They are going to use an ultrasound on my gallbladder.

The beach was wonderful. It rained a lot but was able to get out twice. We didn't walk a long way, but, we did have fun. Plenty of time to read without distraction too.

After all my tests are done then I'll be able to concentrate on working out again. In the meantime, yoga (I do Aerobic Yoga) for one hour and some kind of cardio the next day. (treadmill, stair climber) I'll wait a little longer to do Shock Cardio because those are more intense and I really want to do a good job on them and concentrate harder. Will have to lose about 20 pounds now though. YUCK! :( I will get it back together very soon.

Talk later,

Janie

I realized I hadn't taken a break day ... so I stopped with just a hike today. Monday I am on travel again.

Michelle, my trip is up and down as to open days, and it is possible I'll have a gap overlapping one of yours! It all depends on a meeting that's being pushed from Wednesday to Friday. If it stays Friday, I'll have an open afternoon Wednesday. I'll just keep you posted and you can let me know if you have time for coffee or something while I'm out your way.

Assuming that Renee stops singing in more snow! :D:D:D:D:D But you're welcome to ours, as much as you like. It's nice to have a lighter snowfall this year. PS, loved flying a Cessna but could not stay consistent enough to take the test. Solo'd ... one day I'll go back and finish that up. The motorcycle, you're welcome to  A dirtbike is the most I've attempted  It was not love at first sight. And bungee jumping gives me the shivers ... no, no, I'l stick with horses, who if they dump a person, nuzzle you apologetically afterwards :D

Janie, I'm glad you had a good time on the beach, and that your cough is going away. It feels good to get more sleep, right? Not much is more tiring than the coughs that wake a person up all night long. Wednesday I will be on travel, but will send lots of good vibes and wishes your way, hoping the tests go well.

Shoegal, you are welcome to my snow if Renee doesn't want it!!!! Actually it was pretty nice out today. And how funny - this time the dvd really *was* longer than an hour!!! Usually they just feel like they are :) I don't quite remember for sure in Sign of Four, but wasn't it a poisoned dart from the aboriginee sidekick's blowpipe? Leaving Ms M's father deceased behind a locked door? It's been too long ... I'm forgetting details. Time to break out the SH again.

Ironlady, hope you're feeling better today.

Laura, I'm envisioning you happily swooshing down a skii run. Hope I'm right!

IronLady, How are you doing sweetie? Haven't heard anything from you since before I went to the ocean. Is everything OK? How are you mending?

Deborah, Sorry to hear you will be traveling soon. At least you can have a wonderful weekend. What are your plans this weekend anyway? I have a feeling you will be with your beautiful horses, dogs, kitties and will enjoy the heck out of them.

Not to worry, I'm sure the tests will be OK, at least some way or another will figure out once and for all what is bugging me. No biggie.

I keep reflecting back to you and the twin boys. Still see you weight lifting with a bubble over your head (of the two twins) shaming them. They deserved what they got, and so clever you were. LOL Just love what you did for that young lady trying to exercise. You must have given her confidence back. I have never heard of bunny jumping either until your story.

Have a great evening everyone,

Janie

Addendum ... Shoegal, it was really bothering me that I couldn't remember Sign of Four well enough to be sure how Ms. M's father died! Had to go find out, and in the process, discovered that at least some Sherlock Holmes is online. The answer to your question is in Chapter Four, ironically enough. Spoiler at the bottom of this email :) Here's a link to the online version, btw:

http://ebooks.adelaide.edu.au/d/doyle/arthur_conan/d75si/.

Janie, I'm glad you and everyone here liked the Twins story! I meant to say thank you for the comments all of you posted afterwards, and let myself get side tracked. I enjoyed sharing. And am glad you saw why I had to do what I had to do :D I do hope that my companion in that gym is still keeping at it ... I'm just going to believe that she is.

SPOILER

SPOILER. Ms. M's father died while arguing violently about the treasure with Major Sholto; he had a heart attack. They were alone at the time, and Major Sholto did not want to be accused of killing him, so he disposed of the body with the help of his servant.

Lots of upper body workouts going on in Virginia. This is absolutely the craziest winter. I have no idea how much snow we have. Way over 12 inches (probably approaching 18 inches) and still coming down. We shovel every couple of hours when there is about 2 more inches on the driveway and sidewalks. It is an extremely heavy snow. But all the shoveling didn't stop me from beginning meso 2 today. Disc 13 is now a pleasant memory. Not too bad. Really enjoyed those one minute breaks.

Shadowpup: I hope you can get here on Monday. Flights into National and Dulles will probably resume by them but I don't know if they will be running on regular schedule. Once you get here, be mentally prepared to sit in traffic--or to go very slowly from the airport to wherever you are staying. If you plan on walking outside, be sure to have snow boots. You are going to need them for sure. If we are lucky, the residential areas might start to see snow plows on Monday or Tuesday. Quite frankly I wouldn't be surprised if your visit east gets postponed a week or two. You might want to check on that if you can.

Sister: glad you have your electricity back on. That was a bit of a bummer, huh? At least it wasn't out for days.

Shoegal: got snow yet?

Janie: glad you are back from the ocean and feeling better. Are you up for any light cardio yet?

Laura: Have we lost you to the ski slopes? Bet you are doing something fun with your family.

Enjoy the day.
~michelle

Deborah, I can't wait to get to "Sign Of Four" to read. Sounds so clever.

Michelle, Are you snowed in? My, I can't even imagine that much snow unless it is in the mountains. Shoveling snow every two hours are workouts in themselves.

Meso 2 is great, I like that more than Meso 1, but they all are important and need to be done. And your shoveling snow too. You are good!

I haven't coughed at night now for two days in a row. Feeling mighty fine about getting better.

Joey and I did "Total Body Sculpting" today, and needed it very badly. It's a start again, but as you know we'll get back to where we were very quickly. I was waiting for this day. Here We Go!

Janie

WE GOT SNOW!!!! Yep - tons of it - about 18 inches worth - more like 20 or more in the city. It is great. DH and I went snow shoeing in the morning. the snow shoes didn't make it easier to walk so we were really huffing and puffing up the hills. My girls were shoulder deep and loving every bit of it. Dottie squealed to get outside repeatedly and then later on squealed to get back in!!!:D Then we tried sledding down our back hill - quite steep - but with all that snow the first trip down went extremely slow. Trudging up the hill - again - quite difficult - 2nd trip down was faster but still we weren't flying. It was fun though. My sister has lost power - it's been off since 10 last night - still not back on!! Thank God we have power here - and a wood stove that is keeping it really hot!! DH has been out plowing and plowing, and plowing and he plowed some more!! He is inside now taking a nap!! I managed to do Supersets today - and a bit of CleanMax too.

Shadowpup - funny - I didn't remember that about Mr. Mortsan at all!!! Did I skip over that? I'm going to go back and reread. Really liking the Holmes. I'm afraid this new book isn't going over very well - DH wants to bail. Yeah - I'm not sure if you'll be able to travel either. I think we are mobile here in Pittsburgh now - but they are a bit slower at clearing away the snow in the south. So be careful.

Janie - glad that you had fun at the beach. It is always a great place - just looking at the ocean has a great effect. Hope all of your tests go well - and it sounds like to are doing some great workouts to get back into the swing of things.

Michelle - We are loving the snow. Not sure how long it is going to stick around. It stopped snowing around noon and the sun came out and everything looked to be on its way to melting. It is supposed to dip into the single digits tonight - but - it is clear tomorrow and Monday. A bit more snow later in the week - but I'm sure nothing like this.

Oh well - wanted to see what everyone was up to. Laura, I imagine is taking advantage of the slopes and having fun!!! Hope everyone has a great day.:D

Hi lovely ladies! I just caught up on the posts and probably will skip the personals as I got so far behind!:confused::eek: But wow what a great snow storm you easterners are having, jealous, we are having such a mild winter and need some new snow.

Oh dear my DH just came back with a bad shoulder injury from falling ice skating with the girls so I need to run and take care of him...hopefully will get back later..

super quick exercise update: took 2 days off in a row to rest my shoulder and tired body. Did disc 6 legs again today, no equipment abs, and stretch max #3. Thought I would feel better after rest but found the legs very hard today, left hamstring felt untrustworthy...YEESH I sound like an old lady lately...I think I will just drop the Back and Biceps I missed as I am doing the 6 1/2 month and will actually do Meso Cycle one a few weeks longer.
