Cathe,
I have eight of your videos and they are great. But why is there never a male person supporting you? The exercises are more than tough enough for any man. For me at any rate.

Actually, she has Cardio Kicks with 2 males and Bootcamp with 2 males also. You might want to go check out the clips. Those are two tough workouts. I highly recommend them. Welcome aboard.

I also wish Cathe have some males in the strength workout. I do not see DH working out to Cathe cardio -- most males are choreo-challenged or just scared of it -- but it would be great for strength workout which is more 'male-oriented' (on average) esp with Cathe 'gym-style' workout.

Hi Rob! WELCOME! The guys are also in Circuit Max. My hubby works out to Cathe and like you, he finds the tapes totally challenging also. Look forward to seeing you around. (I, too, HOPE Cathe uses the males again in her next series. I think it is usually a scheduling conflict for them to be able to practice and film with all the hours involved.)

Rob,
Like the other posters mentioned, there are some guys in Cardio Kicks, Circuit Max, and Bootcamp. Still that's only 3 videos. Hey, I would love to see a guy too in each and every video! No complaints from me!

Pretty cool to have a Judo champion hanging out with us here at Cathe's forum. Welcome.

I better get back to work now.

Rob,
Maybe you could be in one of Cathe's future workouts?

One problem with including men in the videos is that some of our "favorite" women would have to be left out, and they all have a fan base!

Hi Rob, welcome to the board. Yes, more guys would certainly be welcome in Cathe's videos. I'm trying to get my husband to go back to his fitness program. I've been trying to convince him that he doesn't have to join a gym -- I have a library of workouts he can use. I have a big bunch of dumbbells and a barbell. He can simply add more dumbbells and plates if he likes. He has seen some of Cathe's videos. He agrees the workouts are pretty good and quite intense. He knows they are effective. I'm the walking proof. But he doesn't want to use Cathe. I think if he sees more males in Cathe's workouts, it might interest him more...

Hey Pinky,

Your post gave me a giggle, because my husband likes Cathe's weight videos particularly because they are mostly women. I think he has a secret crush on her! I guess he finds it motivating to push himself when he sees beautiful women!

:)

Hi Punky, I like your name, btw. Almost sounds like mine.:7

I don't know what exactly it is that keeps my hubby from using my Cathe dvd's. I'm not sure if he's intimidated by the idea of being taught by a pretty and strong woman with a crew of equally pretty and strong babes, or if he likes the gym atmosphere more. He's always been the gym type of person, while I've always been the home exerciser. I myself wouldn't mind my hubby getting motivation from beautiful women.;-)

I'm all for more men in Cathe's workout series. It wouldn't even necessitate leaving any of our favourite women out either. If Cathe puts videos out in 6 packs, she could just alternate so that different people appear in a variety of them, rather than the same faces in absolutely every one!!!!!! Here's to variety!

Hey Pinky,

I guess everyone gets motivated by something different. A lot of my friends at work love going out to a gym - I guess being around a lot of people sweating and killing themselves gives them motivation.

For me, I'd never get there - just having to pack my bag, and figure out some time during the day to drive over, etc. would de-motivate me.

Besides, I prefer to sweat in private!

I guess the point is, at least your hubby is working out instead of doing coach potatoe olympics right? hehe

Her target audience is primarily female. I am not inspired by men, they have less body fat and build muscle so much easier than women, but I am inspired by women that look like Cathe and the crew. It's like asking why playboy is full of women instead of men. People don't buy that magazine to look at men. You have to cater to your audience. Women are not catered to often, I appreciate the effort on Cathe's part even if it's not on purpose.

Hi Rob

Welcome !

Good to see another UK Cathe fan on the forum ! There are a few of us here !

Take Care

Anna :)

Hello Rob,

You are probably the first male in the UK to use Cathe at home. I have been using her for nearly a year now and I love it. It is so much better than going to the gym.

Do you find it difficult to get the equipment? If you need help then let me know. I can show you a site where I got the same dumbbells as she uses.

What videos do you have?
