While emotions can run high on these forums, I was never more grateful for the fact that I am a member here than yesterday, when Gayle and Ellie, and their families, came down to my hometown to help me celebrate DW's 50th party.

After the party, DW said she wished I had had some of my family there in addition to hers...I told her she was mistaken, I had family with me, not in the biological sense, but in every other way possible...I had family with me yesterday.

Gayle and Ellie, I must make one other comment...the behavior of your children yesterday was simply awesome, they are so great to be around.

DW and I both thank you for yesterday, and I thank you for being members of my family, I couldn't ask for two better friends!

We all had such a great weekend at the beach!!!! Yesterday we were literally on the beach running around and playing!!! What a blast!!!

The boys all had a great time and I can only speak for DH and myself, but we totally enjoyed the party and company (and the Italian food!!!!). You must post some of the pics here (since I really don't know how!!!)

Thanks for everything. And just a reminder, NEVER play trivia games with me and Les----------- we are super geeks and know a lot of useless info and some pretty interesting stuff too!!!!

HA! NO PIZZA and NO SALAD! I had to eat the artificial plant sitting behind me if I wanted a salad! lol But the food WAS AWESOME, and the company even better!

Jerry, the 3 hour drive home last night nearly killed me only because of the energy I had running thru me. As soon as you called and invited us, I knew I just had to come. I love spending time with you and DW and she is GORGEOUS....you better tell her so! Ellie's boys and my boys get along so well (most of the time, when my younger son isn't using Ellie's kids as his personal targets) that it really helps make these type of trips so much easier to handle for us all.

Oh, and I have the Birthday Poem on video on my camera....now I just need to figure out how to download it to SHARE!

I'll share a pic or 2 when I get a chance later today.

Actually, Laura, we settled on Pizza Hut, it's only a block away from Ellie's place down the shore, so her DH was kind enough to just walk over and bring it back.

My mouth is watering for the great taste of Uno's...less than 2 weeks away!!!! Thank you for the nice comments regarding DW...you'll get to meet her this summer, as we're shooting for a tristater summer brunch at the Lobster House.
