Good Afternoon, Ladies! :)

Well, I ended up re-setting my alarm and skipping my work out this morning b/c a) I was sore and tired 2) There's a chance I could be working out at the gym this evening. Yes, I numbered them "a" and "2" on purpose coz that's just the kinda mood I'm in! :p

So y'day's pt session went great! I do a little bit better every time! Having done the work out myself the day before really helped me. I felt more confident b/c of it. I'm getting there!!!! :D

So today is my Friday! WOOT! Heading to Atlantic City for the weekend tmrw afternoon!:D I have sooo much to do before we leave though! :eek: Just thinking about it gives me a headache. :confused: Then when I come back to work on Tuesday I'll be runnin' solo for the week b/c my boss will be away on vacation! She hasn't left me for more then one day so far so you can safely say that I'm a bit askeered! :eek:

Wiggie:: If you tell me which exercises you are not familiar with I can post a link showing you what they are, or, if I made them up :p I can just try to explain to you in more detail....that IS a personal trainer's job after all, is it not? ;) Nice work outs! You really are pluggin' along with JNL! Good for you!:)

Katie:: So no time to stop home for your fabulous pink gloves before you head to Punch class huh? BUMMER! :( So tell me, do you eat something at work before you head to class or can you wait to eat until you get home later? Good for you with the tabata! Any type of interval training is far more effective then steady state if you want to change your body ie fat loss, body composition, etc.! Spoken like a true trainer huh? LOL :p

Morning girls.

I went to Punch class after work yesterday. It was fun! The classes really focused on core, and man was my core burning at the end! :D I thought about working out this morning, but all of my muscles are sore and tired, so i'm taking the day off. :)

Wendy: Have a great time this weekend!!! Wins lots of money, and enjoy a special drink for me. ;) I hear ya on being sore and tired. I did the exact same thing this morning that you did yesterday - set my alarm but ended up taking a rest day. Yay on feeling more confident at the studio! It takes time, but soon you are getting to be strutting around like an ole' pro. ;) I do usually eat something before class, but what and the amount varies. For example, yesterday I had a little lean cuisine for lunch, and was rather hungry by 3:30 pm, so I ate both a container of greek yogurt and a protein bar about an 1.5 before class. Other days, though, I won't be as hungry so I might just eat 1/2 of a protein bar. When I get home I eat my normal dinner.

I hope you Ladies are having a wonderful long Memorial Day weekend!! We had a family cookout yesterday instead of Monday since everybody was off from work. I didn't do too bad calorie wise. But I had to have a taste of everything, well everthing that I love!!:p:D Thursday's workout was Shoulder Shredder, Friday's was Lean Legs, I took a rest day Saturday & so far today I've done Bicep Builder.

Wendy: I know you're having a wonderful time since you went to your favorite place!! I hope you & DH have a blast!! Did you get everything done? Are you still sore & tired? You really need some rest & recovery, you are one busy Lady!! Glad to hear pt went so well, you're an old pro now, so proud of you!! All your hard work is paying off.

Katie: Awww, you left your pink gloves? Man that really bites!!:mad: I'm glad it didn't ruin the class for you, you still kicked butt!!:D & my butt did feel rather ballistic!!:rolleyes: :p I actually am seeing a little more definition in that area, my arms too!:)

I just came back to report that I also did Lean Legs, I've completed the first 2 workouts of week 6 & the week hasn't officially started yet!!:eek: That means I can do some other stuff of my choice this week.:D
 
Happy Memorial Day!!

Today's workouts so far are TKO Fat Blast & Fire 30. I'm thinking about doing TKO again since it's only 20 minutes, we'll see.:rolleyes:
 
Hi ladies!!!

I hope you all had a lovely Memorial Day weekend! Mine was...okay. My DH's cousin Danny died of brain cancer early Friday morning, so we spent a good portion of the weekend in southern Kentucky at the visitation/funeral. It's such a said situation. Danny was only in his forties, his two minor children, and was genuinely a good person; one of the best i've ever met. I just hate that this happened to him. Anyway, so yeah it's been a rough weekend. My DH is taking it hard. But we will get through this. :) Yesterday we saw the new Star Trek movie and had a small family cookout, it was all nice.

Workout wise I did the following: Saturday - High Reps; Sunday - To The Max; Monday - Muscle Max (upper body + abs); and Tuesday - Cross Fire. I intended to do all of MM on Monday but my quads was soooo sore from High Reps. I spent most of Sunday hobbling around, lol!

Wiggie: Sorry to leave you hanging this weekend! Thanks for holding down the fort for us. ;) WTG keeping the calories in check at the family cookout! I always have a hard time doing that... :eek::rolleyes: You've been plowing through those JNL workouts! Great job lady! And a big high five on the nice backside and arm definition. That's super fantastic!!! I might have to take another look at JNL after hearing that review. ;) Since you're ahead of schedule, what other fun workouts do you have planned for this week?

Good Afternoon Ladies. :)

AC was fun. We lost but we still had a good time! Did some shopping saturday and bought myself a new pair of black sneakers and a pair of flip flop/sandals I can wear to work. Did a lot of walking all weekend and did a short fly by the seat of my pants work out on both Saturday and Sunday. Last night I worked out as well. This one was a little better thought out. LOL I'd tell you what I did but the paper is at home so I'll have to tell ya later!

This morning I accidentally slept in so no work out but maybe later....

I have to hit DMV on the way home from work tonight to get my license renewed. It expires at the end of May. Nothing like waiting til the last minute, huh? :rolleyes: Tonight and saturday morning will be my only chances to get it done so this way if I have an issue tonight I have a second chance at it on saturday. LOL

So it's supposed hit 90 here over the next couple of days and the AC at work is broken!!!!:eek::mad::eek: I'm also alone all week coz my boss is on vacation so I'm not only going to hot and therefore possibly cranky but also a nervous wreck! :confused::rolleyes:

Anyway, DS and DH won't be home tonight and there isn't anything going on at the Studio so I may very well work out later! I could go to the gym and work out on those machines I'm supposed to try out but that guy is wearin' on my nerves so I'm about ready to phase him out...I don't have enough time to put up with his antics!:rolleyes: He totally messed me up on Friday morning b/c he was so late that I had to leave before he got there. It was a total waste of my time! I've been VERY good natured about this stuff with him until now but I guess seeing how well things are going at the studio is making me realize that I don't need to put up with that... :mad:

SB Glute Squeeze (15 seconds)
SB Slow Mountain Climber (20 alternating reps)

4 sets of:
BB Squats (10 reps)
KB Deadlifts (10 reps)

2 sets of:
SB Decline Push Up (10 reps)
SB 1 arm chest fly (10 reps)

4 sets of:
Single arm alternating tube row (20 reps)
SB DB Pullover (10 reps)

1 set of:
KB Goblet Squat into Shoulder Press (10 reps)
KB Crush Curls (10 reps)
KB overhead Triceps Press (10 reps)

1 set/10 reps of the above 3 exercises done as a combination move.
 
K, my work out is done for today! Better late then never! ;)

Here's what I did!

Bosu Kneeling Tube Chop - R x 10 reps
4 walking planks to the R
4 plank to push ups R
4 walking planks to the L
Then repeat on other side.

Half Kneeling Tube Chop - R x 10 reps
4 walking planks to R
4 plank to push ups R
4 walking planks to L
Then repeat on other side

SB Seated Tube Chop - R x 10 reps
4 walking planks to the R
4 plank to push ups R
4 walking planks to the L
Then repeat on other side.

Standing Tube Chop with Downward Rotation - R x 10 reps
4 walking planks to the R
4 plank to push ups R
4 walking planks to the L
Then repeat on other side.

Followed by....
20 @ 30/30 (no rest) of 1 prone position ankle weight glute exercise (think BBL if you have it!) followed by a floor glute bridge. (5 exercises on R w/5 bridges then repeat same on L)

Then finally some cardio conditioning!...
16 @ 15r/30w x 2
1st round was ball slams, skaters, bear crawls, swings
2nd round was hula hoop, weighted punches, hula hoop, speed squats

FUN!:p

No work out to report coz I slept in but last night's work out kicked my azz! I am SORE so I am HAPPY! :D

Katie:: OMG, I'm soooo sorry to hear about your DH's cousin! HATE to hear about such young people dying of cancer! :( My thoughts and prayers and hugs are with both of you!!!!!!

Wiggie:: Congrats on the increased bum n arm definition! You rock! :) Great work outs this weekend! You are workin' your azz off while the rest of us were partyin'! ;):p

Good morning All!!;)

Tuesday's workout was Upper Body Transformer & 40 minutes of Yoga for The Warrior. I am definitely getting better at yoga. It is easier to fit it in with all these shorter workouts I'm doing. Zuzka is releasing a Power Strength Series on the 31st. I have to have it, so I am revising my no buy vow. I will only buy if it is reasonably priced, which all of hers are.:p

Katie: So sorry to hear of the passing of your DH's cousin. It makes me so sad to hear of cancer taking someone so young. You & DH will be in my prayers. Love & hugs to both of you.

Wendy: I hope you partied(spelling?) enough for the both of us!!:p I could use some black sneakers, what brand are they? I tried to find the shoes JNL wears in her workouts but I can't find them. I know they're unusual, but I like stuff like that.:rolleyes: Sorry you didn't sleep well, are you worried about being on your own this week? I know you'll be fine.

Hi gals!

This morning's workout was Imax 2. I love that workout. It was one of my very first Cathe workouts (possibly THE first). Looking back i'm surprised I stuck with Cathe considering I picked one of her harder workouts to begin my Cathe journey. I still remember getting to blast 3 (all those genie hops), surviving about 1/2 of the blast, flopping down in the recliner and thinking "this woman is nuts!" Ahhh, how far I have come since then. ;)

Wendy: Sounds like you had a fab time in Atlantic City this weekend!! Um, boo on not having AC at work. That sounds miserable. It is supposed to be close to 90 degrees here today, too. They need to get that fixed ASAP!!!! You're going to do fine on your own at this week at work! You've got the routine down pat. ;) So, feeling the DOMS this morning, huh? I bet you are with all those walking planks. They just keep going and going and going. :p Great job!! Odd that you mention having to get your licensed renewed, I have to do the exact same thing!!! We are a couple of procrastinators. :D I just bought a pair of new black sneakers, too! They are actually my first pair of black sneakers, but I like them already. :)

Wiggie: Morning!! You did one of my favorite yoga workouts this morning (YFTW). Now i'm super jealous!!! I wanna do it too. ;) I LOL at your decision to vacate your "no buying" policy. But it's completely understandable. I mean heck, there's no reason to pass up a good deal!! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the new series.
 
So I am officially nervous as heck now b/c not only am I solo at work this week but I heard from the owner of the training studio y'day. I had told him I could be there tonite for the 7pm group session which I figured he'd have me run but now I just found out that he is planning on leaving me to do it TRULY SOLO as in he isn't going to be there at all!!!! :eek: OMG OMG OMG!:eek::eek::eek: Did I forget to say OMG!? :p

16@20/40 of decline push ups, barbell squats, modified pull ups and elbow plank holds then...
8@10/20 of double arm kb swings and burpees and another 8@10/20 of skaters and speed squats

short n sweet but it got the job done!:)

(Not so) Good Morning Ladies.

First, the bad news...I slept terribly again last night. To bed at 10 and up at 2:30. Basically laid in bed awake with my eyes closed until 4...THEN I fell asleep...30 minutes before my alarm goes off!:rolleyes: REALLY!?!:mad: Well, I did NOT get up at 4:30. I pushed it another hour but am still exhausted. :(

Now for the good news! The group session went well last night I think! :D I got there about 20 minutes early so I had lots of time to set up. Only 2 people came and that was fine. Sometimes it's only a couple and sometimes it's a mad house and then everything in between. I was just as happy that it was a slow night since I was there alone....So it was me and two very nice ladies and I think we yapped through most of the work out! LOL They were still kickin' butt though so I didn't have to go Biggest Loser style Jillian on them!;):p LOL When I finished up I texted the owner from my car before I pulled out of the lot to let him know how it went and to offer to leave the key to the place with the other trainer that I will see on Saturday when I go there to work out. He told me to keep it "now that he knows I won't burn the place down" he says. LOL I feel very good about this! Just another positive thing to let me know I have a future there! WOOT WOOT!:D

As for my regular job...Only one more day left of working alone! My boss comes back on Monday! YAY!

TGIF! I am soooo ready for the weekend! BBL!:cool:

Wednesday's workout was Ballistic Backside & Thursday's was Addicted to Sweat #1 & the Chair Series (twice) of ZCUT Power Yoga. I finally was able to do IT!! Of course much slower than Zuzka, but I did it!:rolleyes::D:p It's very similar to that roll back move that Cathe does in CCC. I also ordered her Power Strength Series.:eek: I'm hoping she will do a rotation involving all 3 series

Wendy: I am so sorry you're not sleeping well.:( Hope that ends tonight! Congrats on a successful solo pt, way to go!!:D Not that I'm surprised, I knew you could do it all along!!:D Did they fix the air in your building? No air, not cool!!:mad: Literally!!

Katie: How are you & DH doing? I've been thinking about you guys & what you're dealing with alot. Good job continuing with your workouts. I find that they really do help. Imax 2 is one of my favorites too. My first Cathe workout was Step Blast on Fit TV. Back then I was huffing & puffing after the warmup!!:eek::eek: Step Blast is still one of my favorites. I really enjoyed YFTW, hadn't done it in a while.

Morning girls!

It's been a busy morning already. No workout, it's my rest day, yay, but I went before work to renew both my car registration and driver's license. Usually that's not a big deal but of course they are building new courthouse and the county clerk's office is currently on the opposite side of town from the circuit clerk's office. :rolleyes:

I made it to my Punch class yesterday after work. The instructor tried out some new moves, which was awesome. I was starting to get a little bored with the same (general) routines. She also added a few killer ab moves. :D I can use all the help I can get in that area. ;)

Wendy: Oh dear. Not sleeping well is not good. Have you considered seeing a doctor? It seems like you've had trouble sleeping a lot lately. :( I LOL at your excitement re: the boss coming back. Most people are happy when the boss is gone. :eek: ;) Actually, I have an awesome boss too, so IKWYM. YAY on an awesome first solo training class! I knew you were going to do awesome awesome awesome! And, it sounds like you are really building a rapport with the owner at the Studio. I see a job as a PT in your near future. :)

Wiggie: HIGH FIVE on doing the ZCUT chair series..TWICE! :) That's fantastic! You're improving so much. That roll back move in CCC is killer. I can never match Cathe's pace. I just keeping going to until Cathe stops or I collapse, whichever comes first. ;) Ya know, Step Blast might have been my first Cathe workout...it was either Step Blast or Imax 2. I can't remember! :eek: Like you, though, I found Cathe on fittv. Imagine my surprise the first time I did SB and Imax 2 after I got them on DVD and realized there was MORE to the workout than i'd been doing AND there were no commercial breaks. :eek::p
