Foxy Fusionistas - May ;)

Good morning!

I'm finally back on my feet. I'm still not 100%, but definitely improved. Thank you both for your kind words and well wishes. :)

Yesterday afternoon I mustered up some energy to do XTrain: Shoulders, Back, and Shoulders. I added in several extra breaks and lightened my weight when needed. My chest is super sore this morning! I also did 15 minutes of Lastics and really enjoyed it!! I love the instruction provided. I think Lastics is going to be an excellent addition to my workout library.

Today I did XTrain: Bis and Tris. Overall, I am pleased with my performance. I was supposed to also do core this morning but just ran out of steam (and time). I'll make sure to hit core hard this next week to make up for this week.

Wendy: Oh no! I'm sorry to hear you have a cold. Boo on that! Fingers crossed you kick that cold's azz soon! I know how annoying they can be. In the meantime, rest up and drink lots of fluids! I love cardio and core workouts. :) I'm definitely writing today's workout down for future reference! I wish I could cut my cardio back when i'm in fat loss mode, but sadly but body doesn't respond.:( I'm looking forward to a personal training session with you. ;)

Wiggie: Excellent workouts this week! That chair series sounds insane. Roll back to a burpee?!?!   You go girl! ;) The fact that you can do them at all is very impressive. How much longer is your JNL rotation? You're doing such a fanstatic job sticking with the rotation. Two thumbs WAY UP! :)

Hey Girls....

This cold has me in a head lock right now. :( I'm so out of it. I hope I can get myself feeling better later b/c if I am running the session tonight then my brain needs to be functioning and right now, well...it's just not! Maybe the adrenaline rush from being nervous/excited will help me to feel better later??? One can hope!!! ;)

So I had some B'day cash to burn and decided to put it towards some new fitness toys so I went on a spending spree at Amazon and bought a 40# kettlebell, a door anchor for my tubing, a battle rope and an anchor for it and I still have $$ left over! :D IDK if I can make the rope work in my tiny little house but I'm sure gonna try! It's the shortest rope I could find AND the anchor I bought allows you to shorten it even further so we will see. I just hope it's still effective if I have to shorten it more. I never used ropes before going to the PT Studio but now that I have, I can honestly say that they are fantastic! :)

Katie:: Glad you are on the mend! Now it's my turn-I HOPE!

Wiggie:: I hadn't used my hoop in quite a while before today either. I kept thinking about it but it just never happened until now. It's still fun! :D Z's yoga sounds crazy hard! Kudos to you for doing it!!!! :) I miss my yoga...I just don't know how in the world to fit it in these days unless it totally replaces a work out each week.

BBL!

Happy Friday!!:D

Thursday's workout was Bicep Builder, I love the last 3 circuits on that one, endless pushups!!:confused::eek:

Wendy: I hope that cold loosened its grip on you!! Were you able to handle your pt session? I will have to google ropes, I have no idea what you do with them. I am going to tell you what you have told me in the past. It is fine to sub yoga, it does count as a workout you know!! :p Wow, you must have gotten a small fortune for your b-day!!:) You get all those new toys at someone else's expense, I love that!!:D

Katie: Glad you're feeling better!! I have finished the first month of JNL!! I have 4 more weeks to go, I can do this! I know I can, I know I can!!:D:p You seem to like Xtrain a lot, great workouts!!

Good Morning Ladies and TGIF freakin' F to y'all! :D:D:D

Well I made it through my time at the studio last night w/no problems-thankfully. I didn't feel great but good enough so I was happy! I think it's safe to say that I am on the mend now.:) (Thanks for sharing the get well vibes with me, Katie!;))

Tonight my DH is bowling. DS and I usually join him but I (in my NOT so infinite wisdom :p) volunteered to stay home so that my son could have a friend sleep over. It'll be his first sleep over! DH will be home by 9:30-10:00 though so it's not like I'll be alone to two crazy boys ALL night! I'm sure it'll be fine.

Tmrw afternoon our families are joining us for dinner out at our fave restaurant which DS picked for his family B'day party. We usually have it at the house but decided to do it out this year for a change of pace. We'll come back to the house for dessert and coffee though.

On Sunday after lunch I am going to the gym where I interned to work out.

Ok, that's the run down of my life for the next few days. LOL Now on to this morning's work out finally! :p

I did 4 rounds of push ups, pull ups, squats and core exercises @ 10 reps each circuit style with no rest in between. It looked like this

10 tricep push ups
10 modified pull ups(knees bent, feet flat on floor)
10 standard barbell squats
10 second straight arm plank hold on SB

10 standard push ups
10 modified pulls ups (knees bent, one foot on floor, other leg straight in air and switched legs after 5 reps)
10 plié barbell squats
10 side plank hip dips on L side

10 plank to push ups (switched direction after 5 reps)
10 modified pull ups (legs straight and elevated on step)
10 goblet squats
10 side plank hip dips on R side

10 decline push ups with feet on SB
10 modified pull ups (legs straight, feet on floor)
10 pick up/put down barbell squats
10 hand to hand med ball roll with push up (feet on bosu)

Then for cardio the 10 rep rule applies again...4 exercises all done for 10 reps at a time, circuit style continuously for 3 rounds of 3 minutes of work and 20 seconds of rest....The exercises I did were:

Weighted punches
Swings
Skaters
Ball slams

BBL!

Hello beauties!!

Well, y'all know i'm usually all about resting on Fridays. But, I missed two workouts this week, so I decided to suck it up and roll my butt out of bed this morning. After much debate I decided on All-Out Low Impact HiiT + Core 1. Got my heart pumping without being toooooo awful hard on a Friday. :D Tomorrow I start my new rotation, which focuses on Crossfire and To The Max. Can't wait!

Tonight i'm meeting up with friends for a bday dinner at a new restaurant by the lake. Afterwards we are going to go see the judge's band play at a local bar. Tomorrow my mom is having a little bday get-together for me. I found out my family got me a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. I'm sooooo excited! I love to cook and this will make my life that much easier.

Wendy: Thank you for the bday wishes on Facebook! That was very sweet of you. :) Sounds like you've got a busy, but fun, few days ahead! Make sure you take enough time to rest and recover from your cold young lady. ;) Happy Birthday to your DS!! Is his birthday today or tomorrow? Wow, today's workout looks, um, seriously tough. Pushups followed by pullups? Insane lady!

Wiggie: High five on finishing the first month of JNL! That's fantastic! Yes, you ABSOLUTELY can finish the rotation. You've got this, girl! Don't you dare quit. This might sound like a dumb question, but if the workout is "Bicep Builder" why does it have so many pushups?! Yes, i've been enjoying the XTrain workouts. They are all so much fun! I can't wait for you to give them a try, too. :)

Happy Birthday Katie, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! :) She starts the workout with bicep excercises, to mix it up a bit she finishes with pushups!!:p

Just used the last of my B'day money on these since I love my Adipures so much!!!!

They can be worn casually or for training so I can get lots of use out of them anywhere I go! :)

VIVOBAREFOOT Ultra Pure Ladies Barefoot Shoe

So excited!:D

Wiggie:: The cold is definitely loosening it's strangle hold. I'm not 100%. I have my good and bad "moments" but overall I am much better then I was! Thanks for asking! Yes, I got through the session at the studio just fine. If I were working out, it may not have been so easy but I wasn't so I was good to go! ;) Nah, not a small fortune but enough to get myself some good stuff after shopping around for good prices! Took me quite a while to find the shoes I just posted because most minimalist styles are so darned pricey! Definitely google battle ropes. They are awesome! :D

Katie:: I hope you have a blast at your B'day dinner with your friends! :) Nice job gettin' your bum outta bed early on a Friday morning to work out cause you knew you missed a couple extra days of work outs this week! Such dedication! I love it! :D I hear kitchen aid mixers are da bomb but even though I am enjoying cooking now, IDT I'd have much use for one and I CERTAINLY would have no place to keep it in my tiny house! Isn't it used mostly in baking?? Enjoy your new toy!!! I'm sure your DH will enjoy it when you are feeding him all of the yumminess that comes from it! ;)

Well tmrw I am running the group session at 9. No plans for a work out at the moment but that may change! You know me! :p

My son and his friend that is sleeping over are actually behaving pretty well! They are loud at times but not too crazy. I am shocked!...Oh crap! I hope I didn't just jinx myself by saying that!!!!!

BBL!

Good Morning Ladies.

Well my DH effed up my PT plans and acted like he had no idea I was going to go there this morning!? Really?? What have I been doing almost every Saturday morning for a couple of months now?? C'mon man! Ticked me off!!!!:mad::mad: Anyway, he planned to do something that DS couldn't tag along on and by the time I found out about it, he couldn't change it so I had to stay home with DS since I can't bring him to the studio. Men. UGH!

That being said, I used the time to work out instead and here's what I did::

10 reps of each exercise straight through with no rest:

-Roll backs (where you start standing, squat, roll back, forward and then on to your feet again)

-Bottoms up kettle bell squat R

-Bottoms up kettle bell squat L

-Kettlebell squat with shoulder press

-Alternating rear lunges with straight arm weighted rotation over bent knee at bottom

-Straight leg tricep dips off hi step

-Decline tricep push ups off hi step

-Plank into alternating side plank with weighted arm raise

-Alternating side lunge with hammer curl

-Biceps curl with tubing and body rotation

-Alternating one legged planks on SB

Then for cardio conditioning.....::

4@20s/1:00m for each pair of exercises:

-Skaters
-Alternating one arm swings with a 30# kettlebell :eek::eek:

-Speed Squats on Bosu (not sure how "speedy" they were! LOL :p)
-Bear Crawls

BBL!

GM Ladies. :)

Y'day was a rest day b/c I was having stomach issues all day. UGH. :(

This morning though, I ripped it up with this!::

4 rounds of:
Heavy kettlebell slow deep plié squats (10 reps)
30 s Side plank-30 s prone plank-30 s other side plank-30 s prone plank(2m total)
Heavy Kettlebell slow deep plié squats (10 reps)
Repeat plank pattern

4 rounds of:
Heavy kettlebell side slide lunges R (10 reps)
Plank walks side to side with med ball roll (10 reps)
Heavy Kettlebell side slide lunges L (10 reps)

1 round of 8@10/20:
Speed Squats
Skaters

This work out was TOUGH!!!!! Definitely on the puke factor scale! The cardio was so brief with exercises on the easier side b/c I really couldn't imagine doing anything more by then!!!

BBL for personals!

Good morning. It's Monday. Boo on THAT!

Had a fun bday weekend. Spent Saturday at my parent's house and yesterday at my in-laws. Enjoyed several delicious bday meals and now have to get back on the clean-eating wagon. ;) Here's my weekend workout round-up:

Saturday - Cross Fire. Yowza! I forget how tough that one is.

Sunday - Pyramid Upper Body. I decided to go old school. :D I actually went heavy than Cathe a few times. For back, I used 15, 20, and 25 (Cathe uses 12, 15 and 20) and for tricep extensions I used 5, 8, and 10 (Cathe uses 3, 5, and 10). As usual, I about died during the bicep section. I've got lovely bicep, back, and minor chest DOMS.

Monday - Kick, Punch, and Crunch was the name of the game this morning! I haven't done this one in FORever! It was fun. :)

Wiggie: Thank you for the bday wishes! I had a lovely weekend. Thank you. :) How was yours?

Wendy: How are you feeling this morning? Has your stomach calmed down any? I LOL at your Saturday post. Did your DH make it up to you yet? I could tell you were rather angry. And rightly so!!! I would have been pissed too. How did the sleepover go Saturday night?? It sounded like it started out okay, did it finish that way?? I love your weekend workouts! They all sound fabulous. Do you have a favorite yet?

Good morning All!!

Friday's workout was the 10 minute Total Body X 2, & Chair Series from ZCUT Yoga, Satuday's was Fire 30 & Sunday's was the cardio from All Step(CTX) & Fusion Lower Body. I'm actually not due for that one till later in the week but that's what DD wanted to do.:)

Great workouts you put together Wendy!! I can tell you've recovered from your stomach woes!!:p Sorry about Saturday, I can tell you were disappointed,:( I would have been upset too. At least the boys behaved, when kids have someone to play with they totally ignore you & that's always been fine by me.:D

Katie: So glad you had a wonderful bday. Great workouts, lots of blasts from the past!! It's always fun to go back to old workouts & find that they are not as hard as they used to be. Now that's progress!! ;) I enjoyed my weekend, even though it was very wet. It rained off & on the whole time.

Have a great day Ladies!!

Hi Girls.

I am soooo not in the mood to work today.

My stomach is much better today but I'm still feeling rather bloated. ICK. :(

Katie:: Nice job beating out Cathe on weight loads in PUB! Sounds like you had a great B'day weekend. Good for you! You deserve it. How was your celebration with your friends? Basically, the smoother a work out flows the more I like it but I have no actual faves. I've created too many already to remember how most of them went by now! :p

Wiggie:: So these JNL work outs that your DD wants to do with you earlier then they are on your rotation...will you repeat them when they come up in the rotation or consider them already done? ;)

The sleep over went well. The boys never got out of control so I was happy and so were they! :)

Good Morning!

I gots me a good ache from yesterday's work out! ;)

So there will be no work out for me to report for this morning because I'm training after work at the studio instead!:)

BBL!

Good morning!!

Monday's workout was Upper Body Transformer, no add ons. This is EMS week, so a few of us will be taking one of our new ambulances to Columbia to be in a parade, there will be a big luncheon afterward. It should be lots of fun. :)

Wendy: I consider the workout done for the week. I pick some other non JNL workout for that day.

Have a great day!!;)

Good morning!

This morning I did To The Max (no compound legs). I intended to do the whole workout, but kinda overslept. Oops! :p I'm secretly glad I didn't have time for the leg segment because my legs are pooped!

Wiggie: Happy EMS week!! You deserve to be celebrated and honored. Have a great time in Columbia and in the parade. Nice job attacking those workouts this weekend! Working out with your DD must be so much fun. :) I always enjoy it when I get to workout with my sister. My goal lately has been to mix old Cathe workouts with new Cathe workouts. Just to change things up. :)

Wendy: Yay for aches!! Did I really just say that? LOL! My upper body is still super sore too. We can ache together. ;):p The celebration with friends was lots of fun! We enjoyed a yummy dinner and even yummier drinks. ;) Whew, glad the sleepover went well! Boys can be wild when in mass. Have fun training tonight and kick some butt!

Morning Glories!:D

Last night at the studio I did the work out I'll be using to train a client there this evening.

This morning I did this circuit 4x through:

10-SB Rolling Bridge with constant glute activation
10-1 KB straight leg dead lift
10-Modified Pull Ups (bent knee, straight leg, or bent knee w/ one leg elevated)
4-firewalkers then 10 KB squats alternating f/w direction each time
10-Barbell Rows alternating handgrip each time

Then I finished up with a 4 min tabata of bear crawls and line taps.

BBL!

Hi gals!

This morning's workout was Total Body Trisets: Lower Body + a 15 minute Lastics segment. TBT was fun as usual. :) Love that one. And it goes by so quickly. The Lastics segment I did was just okay. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first segment (there are 4 segments total). It was tough!! This isn't just casual stretching. It really streeeeetches your muscles. ;)

Wendy: Working your lower body this morning too I see. ;) Great job!! How was your workout last night at the Studio? Are you feeling pumped about tonight's training session? I know you are going to rock it!! I've been on a tabata kick lately. I like getting in there, working hard, and getting out. Holla! :D

Good afternoon!!;)

Tuesday's workout was Ballistic Backside, I think the name says it all!!:p

Katie: Great job with TBT Lower Body, I"ve only done that one once & I liked it. So overall do you like Lastics? I hear you about the shorter workouts, now we have no excuse!!:D

Wendy: That looks like a good workout, again not sure about some about of the exercises.

Good morning!! :)

Wednesday's workout was Crazy Circuit Cardio & TKO Fat Blast.

Have a great day Ladies!!

Hi gals!

No workout for me yet because i've got Punch class at the gym tonight. I ran out of the house without my boxing gloves this morning, so that kinda sucks, but i'm sure I can bum a pair at the gym. I just like having my own. Plus they are pink. I'm not really a pink-kinda gal, but for some reason I love my pink boxing gloves.:eek::)

Wiggie: Great job kicking butt this morning! How is your backside feeling? Ballistic perhaps? :D;):p I've only done 2 of the 4 segments on Lastics, so i'm reserving judgment, but I have a feeling i'll end up liking it. It's intense stretching, but my body loves it! How are you still enjoying EMS week?
