Foxy Fusionistas - May ;)

Good Afternoon Dahlings. :)

So I forgot to actually turn my alarm ON last night and didn't wake up until after DH was already up and getting dressed. I COULD have rushed to get a work out in but I hadn't even finished preparing one last night so I just nixxed it for today...

Tonight I am training one on one at the studio with a client of his. The name sounds familiar. I think she's been in some of the group training sessions I've been around for but I am not sure which one she is. Guess it'll be a surprise! :p He emailed me the work out so that I can review it and have time to decipher his wacky exercise abbreviation system! LOL

Last night I finally got back to the gym I interned with. We went over more sales stuff and will meet tmrw night so I can do a practice run (training) on someone.

Then Saturday, depending on the work out he has scheduled, I'll either be running the group session or participating in it. He runs 2 different work outs every month and there is one I've seen once but never done.

Wiggie:: Thanks! Means alot! :) I figure either the guy has confidence in me OR he doesn't want to watch when I mess it all up!:p LOL I have never been to a Trader Joe's coz there are none close to me. Probably for the best though coz I am sure I would spend waaaay too much $$$$! Nice work outs! Still goin' strong with JNL I see! That's so awesome! You are a changed woman! ;):p

Good Morning! :)

So I did it! I managed to get through my first one on one training session w/o throwing up or completely bombing!:p The girl I trained was more of a beginner so that made me feel better. He emailed me the work out earlier in the day so I would have a chance to look at it and then when I got there he gave me their copy of the work out and off I went. If I had any questions, I just asked and he popped over to check on us and give pointers as we went along. I'd say it was a successful evening! YAY! :D

I never got around to writing a work out for myself for this morning so I took the work out that his client did with me last night and modified it to suit my time constraints, my abilties and my equipment. It worked out quite well. :)

Here's what I did::

2x through of the following circuit @ 10 reps per set-
1 arm tube chest press (standing)
kneeling SB ball roll out
other arm tube chest press
deadlift with kettlebell

3x through of the following circuit @ 10 reps per set-
decline push ups off the bosu
modified pull ups
one 25-30 sec weighted stability ball bridge
single DB in 2 hands squat

8 @ 10r/20w:
skaters and bear crawls
then another round with-
skaters and ball slams

BBL!

Hi gals!

Sorry I forgot to check-in yesterday. Time got away from me.

Last night I kicked butt (sorta) in Punch class. Excellent class, as usual. The instructor really hit abs hard, which was awesome because my abs need some work! This morning I did Super Cuts. It was only my second time, but wow what a fun workout. It's so different. Because Punch class really works my shoulders, I kept the weights light for most of the shoulder exercises (Cathe used 8#, I used 5#). I was still pleased with my performance. Well, except for those insane situp/pushup combos. Cathe does 8 rounds; I only made it 6 before I collapsed. But i'm working on it. :D

Wiggie: BIG thumbs down on getting kicked off the Cathe website. How annoying! Yes, my nephews are a HUGE handful, but I love 'em. ;) I'm particularly fond of the 2 year old, but shhhh, don't tell anyone I said that. :D I adore Trader Joes!! I've found so many things I love there. The chimmichurri rice is a favorite. It also has awesome low-cal guacamole. If you want a treat try the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. Yum! Now that I've rambled about food...great job with your workouts!

Wendy: You are one busy girl. How do you keep up with everything??? PT studio, gym, work, DH/DS...whew! ;) CONGRATS on a successful first one-on-one training session! We knew you would be amazing! This morning's workout looks like a toughie. The stability ball mountain climber looks cool! I'm going to give it a try soon. Something different... I KWYM re: established clients v. new clients. That would be awkward. I would love to be a PT. I've considered looking into it, but I hesitate because of the whole adoption. Heck, if that doesn't seem to work out maybe i'll just be a mother of kittens. :)

G-*yawn*-d Morning! :p

So I stayed up too late last night making up a work out with some new creative moves and then slept too late this morning to have time to do it! DUH! LOL

I went to the gym last night where I interned. I ended up not truly training anyone b/c the girl I was supposed to train couldn't do it but I DID take a top trainer through a few exercises and he said I did very well so that made me happy. :) I wasn't nearly as nervous and such a bumbling idiot as I'd been in the past so there is definitely improvement in that area! WOOT! :D

Next week I am going to go there a couple times to work out. I'll create a work out and take it with me. I'm doing this because I need to learn the set up of the gym (where all of the equipment is), etc and I also need to get more familiar with the Free Motion Cable Machines. They are apparently great machines to utilize.

Katie:: Did you say DARK CHOCOLATE PB CUPS!?!? OMG-YUM!!!!!!!!!!!:D
I've only done Cathe's sit up/push up combo once and when I realized I couldn't keep up with her speed, I just did them till she stopped. I didn't count how many sets I did. Just made sure I did the right number of reps. If she does 8 then I definitely did no more then 6 myself! So do you wear weighted gloves in Punch class? Have you been slackin' on the ab work again missy? Do I need to open up a can of trainer on your azz? LOLOL :p:D:rolleyes: To answer your question, IDK how I am keeping up! The housework is definitely suffering from being so busy but if I want to make this happen, I have to give it all I can. Just going to have to deal for a while until it's time to make a decision to go full time with the training, stay part time with only as much as I can handle and still keep up with everything else or cut the training loose b/c I suck! :p I'm also going to need to decide between the gym and the studio. They both want me full time eventually! That's easier said then done at the gym though coz there's that tiny issue of SELLING! The PT Studio isn't like that so it sounds like the more likely option for my personality but we'll see how it all pans out....I might surprise myself! Anyway, I have quite a while yet to decide I think because technically I'm still interning right now anyway! (Wow, that was long! Sorry for rambling!)

K, running terribly late now!

Gotta scram but I'll be back!

Happy Friday!!:)

Wednesday was a rest day & I didn't get to work out Thursday because DH was taken to the hospital from work. He passed out from dehydration. He's ok, they kept him overnight for observation.

Wendy: So glad that your one on one went so well!! I hope for more of the same on Saturday. :) Great workouts, you are so creative! LOl, all that creativity last night & no workout this morning? :D:p Oh well there's always tomorrow!!:) I was also wondering how you do it all Superwoman!! Someone needs to get you a cape!!:D :p ;)

Katie: Still loving Punch class I see.;) I don't have Supercuts, but I've watched the preview & it looks like a very fun workout. If they run a deal on it I might pick it up. I will check out your suggestions for Trader Joe's, except the peanutbutter cups. I like chocolate & I like peanutbutter but not together.

Have a great day!!

Hi girls!

Today's my rest day. Yay! :) But I still wanted to pop in and say hello.

Wendy: Hmmm, i'm not a fan of selling stuff myself, mainly because I suck at it, so I vote the Studio. :p;) Not that you asked for my vote, but I thought I would share it any way. :D I agree with Wiggie - you definitely need a cape! How cool would that be?!?! Your time management skills are killer. So what creative moves did you come up with? For Punch class I used the 12oz pink gloves that Cathe uses in Hard Strikes. I got the gloves for Christmas specifically for HS, but it just happens the gym uses the same gloves (or similar) with wraps for Punch class. We spend 85% of the class punch a heavy bag, so gloves are a must! Hehehe - I could use a little azz kicking right now. ;) I always work my abs 2-4 times a week, but I can't seem to get rid of the HUGE layer of fat covering my abs. Really it's my eating and I know it. I try to eat healthy I swear....

Wiggie: Oh my goodness!!! I'm so glad your husband is okay! Is he home from the hospital yet? I'm praying for you both. Don't worry about your workouts right now. They will be there when you get back to them. Just focus on your hubby and yourself right now. If there's anything at all I can do to help don't hesitate to ask!

Good morning Foxy Ladies!!

Friday's workout was Upper Body Transformer then Ballistic Backside right after for a total of 76 minutes. Talk about a sweatfest!! When I touched my clothes my hands were wet. I like putting 2 together since I enjoy full body weights more than splits.

Katie: Thanks for your concern & prayers. Just you continued prayers are enough. No, he's not out yet, but he's doing better. I know I shouldn't worry about missing a workout, though they do give me something else to focus on. Even when my parents died I worked out, of course I missed a day here & there. I have to work for a couple of hours today, a graduation ceremony that I volunteered for a month ago. We have a contract & it was too late to get someone to do it for me. DH understood, I'll go see him right after.

Have a great weekend !! :)

Hey Girls. :)

I participated in the group training session at the studio this morning so my work out is done for the day! :)

Off to a B'day party in a few minutes. It's local though so we won't be gone forever and a day...I HOPE! I'm sooo tired. :( I need my nap! :p

Wiggie:: OMG! Your poor husband! Sending get well vibes to him and many hugs to you!!! LOL re the cape. Thank you but I'm really not superwoman. You should see my poor house. It's a wreck! :(

Katie:: I hear you on the selling. I had the same thought. Plus the studio is closer to my house. The gym has it strong points too though. Could be a tough decision. I will just have to weigh out all the pros and cons as I go along and see where it takes me. Right now I'm leaning towards the studio but there are things about the gym I really like so who knows. I think it basically will come down to where I think I will be more successful and it's too early to tell that yet TBH. Oh so you have the pretty pink Cathe gloves? How much did they cost ya? LOL :p I use the ugly black weighted gloves for kickboxing. Yeah, when it comes down to it, unfortunately abs are mostly about food. You can have the strongest most ripped core in the world but food is what makes the difference between seeing it and not seeing it. Sucks huh? I know. Food is definitely the harder part for sure!

Ok, gotta scram.
BBL!

Here is my work out from y'day. Definitely not one of my faves. Tried getting fancy and it didn't always work out so well so I had to make a lot more mid work out adjustments/changes then I normally do.

Good morning!

I took an unplanned rest day on Saturday. I stayed up way to late Friday night visting with a friend. Then Saturday I spent the day with my mom shopping and visting. I also took her out to lunch. It was an early mother's day celebration. It was such an enjoyable day that it was worth skipping a workout. ;) Yesterday I got my act together and did Low Max. It was my LSB workout of the week. Check! Today's workout will be Punch class after work. I can't wait!

Wendy: I must admit I am not familiar with half of the exercises on your Sunday workout, lol! I'm sure once you get all the kinks worked out it will be awesome! How did the birthday party go on Friday? Yep, i've got the pretty pink Cathe gloves and they didn't cost me a thing (Christmas present). :D I think DH got them for less then $20 on Amazon. I've used them sooo much for Punch class. I notice you don't usually do stand-alone cardio. Do you get a decent cardio-factor from you circuit type workouts?

Wiggie: Hey there, lady! :) Did you have a good weekend? Wow, killer workout on Friday! Sounds like an excellent combination. IKWYM re: workouts being a distraction. When times are tough it's sometimes a relief to have a workout (or something similar) to focus on for an hour - just to get your mind off things.

Hello.

Lunch time! :)

Katie:: I was waiting for someone to notice and question the cardio (or lack there of) in my work outs! :p It is being drilled into my head that lots of cardio isn't only not needed but can also be detrimental to my goals so I am doing cardio amounts that have been suggested to me (no more then 20 mins and always resistance train first!). That, along with the circuit style of my weight work outs give me the cardio factor that I need! :D Keep in mind too, that I am not after hypertrophy. Maintaining muscle and fat loss are what I want. Ofcourse, I also need to eat right in order for it to work. BLECH! LOL :p Nice score on the Cathe gloves for Christmas! ;) Sounds like you had a fabulous early Mom's Day with your mother. I went to my SIL's house for dinner and ofcourse my MIL was there. My mom's take on Mother's Day is that it's a day to do what she wants and seeing her kids is not necessary b/c she knows we love her (and also doesn't feel the need to make us run around like chickens with our heads cut off to make sure we see her and the MILs!-God love her!:D)....That being said, she probably went shopping with a girlfriend! LOL

Wiggie:: I second Katie's thoughts on your work out! Nice job, chic!:D

BBL!

Good morning!!

Saturday's workout was Crazy Circuit Cardio & Sunday's workout was Lean Legs & Hip Hop Abs. It wasn't time for LL but my daughter wanted to try JNL & that's the one she picked.

Katie: Shopping & lunch? Sounds like a perfect day to me, two of my favorite things to do!! :p:D DH came home Saturday & I went to church Sunday, they had a program & dinner for the mothers. It was very nice.

Wendy: Those workouts look great, but like Katie I'm not familiar with a lot of the moves:confused: If I could train with you I would learn a lot!! Thanks for the good vibes & hugs, I'll take them all! :)

Hi girls. Well, no workout for me. I'm down with strep throat. Again. If you might recall, I got strep throat last year at this exact same time. Because I have nothing but time on my hands, I previewed my newest workout DVD -Lastics. It looks awesome and I'm excited to give it a try. I'm staying home from work again tomorrow (doctor's orders), so if I'm feeling up to it maybe ill try a few minutes of it. I'm already tired of sitting on my bum. I'll bbl for personals.

Hi Ladies. :)

Happy Hump Day! ;)

No work out for me this morning. My body was calling for a rest day so I listened to it even though my brain did not agree!

I went to the studio last night and watched him train 3 people simultaneously! When they were done, the last client of the evening came in whom I trained. :)

Tmrw night and Saturday morning I go back to run the group training sessions both days!:D

On Sunday afternoon I am planning on FINALLY getting my arse over to the gym to work out on those Free Motion cable machines that I need to familiarize myself with. That should be interesting! LOL :p

Katie:: OMG sorry you are sick! ((((get well vibes!!!!!!!!!!!)))) What is Lastics? You know what...nevermind....it's lunch time so I can GOOGLE it myself! :D

Wiggie:: So what did your DD think of JNL? It's ok to add on to the rotation as long as you don't SKIP anything!;) How many more weeks to go?? How's hubby feelin'? OMG, I would love to have you as a PT client! Move up to Jersey and I'll give you a discount! :D Katie, you too! ;)

Hi Ladies!!

Busy day here at work , that's why I'm posting so late. Tuesday's workout was Lower Body Fusion as planned. Speed & Agility is the dvd for tonight. It's only 20 minutes so I plan to add something.

Katie: I am so sorry you're sick.:( Hope you're feeling better today. I googled Lastics, very interested to hear how you like it. I'll have to wait on purchasing it though. I have banned myself from buying anymore dvds for 3 months!! :p:rolleyes::D

Wendy: DD liked JNL, she said she felt it the next day. Lol re the discount, if I'm ever in NJ I'll take you up on it!! :D How did pt go? Are you getting comfortable with it? DH is doing ok, thanks for asking. You & Katie are the best!!:)

Good morning!! ;)

Wednesday's workout was Speed & Agility & 20 minutes of ZCUT Power Yoga. I did the Cresent series & the Chair series. The chair series is the one where you roll back then come up into a burpee. Of course I still have to alternate sides I come up on. It was still fun though. I think I'll try & remember to add that to the end of my shorter workouts. I don't think I'll ever be able to do that without modifying.

Wendy: Great workout!! I haven't used my hula hoop in ages. Take care of that cold!!

Have a great day!!
