Foxy Fusionistas - June!!! :)

Hi Ladies!!

Wendy: I totally agree re ZCUT warmup. Yes, her rotation is 90 days, I think she just goes through them in order with some rest days inserted. You can go to her website & download it. I really doubt I'll be able to hold out that long.:eek::p Hope that DOMS eases up soon.

Hi Katie!:)

I forgot to mention Tuesday's workout:rolleyes::eek:, it was Steppin in Rhythm by Pam Cosmi. It's very complex, good cuing, minimal breakdowns. It makes it a little more difficult to learn, but more fun to do after you master it. I will probably be doing portions of this all week chased by some yoga.

Good morning Ladies!!;)

As planned Wednesday's workout was Steppin in Rhythm. It was late when I worked out so I didn't do yoga. Today's plan is cardio & yoga.

Have a great day!!

Good Afternoon Ladies. :)

The back DOMS is still there but only really bothers me when I am using the foam roller now. THAT still hurts like a :eek::eek:!

Z's rotation called for a rest day today so I listened and picked up some kettlebells instead with Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning with Kettlebell's short work out done 2x thru, omitting abs and cutting rest times in half! :)

I worked last night at the studio and will work again tonight. Hoping to work out at the Saturday morning group training session but if I can't get my arse moving in time then I want to try to go there on my own and do the work out later in the day.

Wiggie:: Good work outs! I'd probably never have the patience to learn that step work out you mentioned! There was a time that I was considering purchasing an Amy Bento Step Work Out to try to learn it but luckily I thought better of it! :p

BBL!

Good Morning! :)

Z-Cut #3 (AMRAP) is done with a few modifications!;)

I changed the lateral jump burpees into regular burpees....I changed the mule kicks to mountain climbers....I cut the crab toe touch reps in half and changed the ab exercise at the end to kettlebell swings.

That being said, I guess in all honesty I did my own AMRAP instead! LOL Oh well! :p

Ok, well off I go....TGIF and BBL!

Hi girls!

Sorry I've been MIA. I was at a law conference the past 2 days and now I'm in Chicago on a "girls only" weekend away. Not sure if ill be working out or not. Just wanted to say hello. :)

Talk to you in a few days!

Good afternoon Ladies!!

Thursday's workout was the third block of Steppin in Rhythm & Namaste yoga #7, Friday's was PopPhysique Original Butt. I've had the latter for a while & just got around to doing it. It was an hour long, but it went by very quickly. I will definitely do it again. :)
I am really enjoying my yoga inspired workouts this week. I thought about extending it, I just feel so relaxed, or should I say I'm getting lazy?:p:D

Katie: I know you're having a blast!! Girls only, I'm afraid, very afraid!!;):p

Wendy: I love complex step routines, I love the challenge!! I haven't decided what I'll do today:confused:, right now I'm thinking about taking a nap!!:p

Hey Ladies. :)

This morning I made it to the studio for the group session and it was packed and it rocked! :D

Speaking of rocking...Went to see Toby Keith in concert last night and that rocked too! Tons of fun after hours of tailgaiting!:D

For dinner I made a new Skinny Taste recipe called Salmon Kabobs. Good! Just not as good as I expected! She also has a chicken kabob recipe that I want to try! :9

I was on FB earlier in the day and saw an update from Zuzanna on my FB page. She apparently released a Power Series (weight training) when I wasn't looking so I immediately whipped out my credit card and hopped on over to Amazon to order it! I know I said I wasn't buying anything else right now but they are so inexpensive and she gets the job done in no time so I JUST HAD TO!!!!!

That's all for now. BBL!

Good morning!!

Saturday's workout was BodyFit 360, Sunday's was the 2nd block of Steppin in Rhythm 3 times!! It's the most complicated but I got it, so fun!.:) Right after I did Hip Hop Abs & later Cross Core Combat, I felt like doing some ab work.

Wendy: Now I have proof that you don't read what I write!:p :D I told you about the new ZCUTS when they were released on 5/31. I ordered the moment they were available. I also have her yoga & love it. I will be using all of them this week, I haven't really figured out exactly how to use them in a rotation. I guess I'll play it by ear? Sounds like you had a good time at the concert!!:)

Hi Katie!! Hope you've recovered from your wild weekend!!:D

Hi ladies! I'm back! :)

Got home about 8:00 pm last night. I'm exhausted! I had a great time in Chicago and didn't spend toooooo much money. :D I'm happy to be home. I only got in one workout while I was gone - a 1.5 mile run, 60 pushups, and a short ab routine. Sadly, about .5 mile into my run my IT band flared up. It was awful. I had to keep walking just to give it a break. I really really really want to be able to run but every time I do the IT band flares and I can barely walk. :(:(:( Anyway, this morning I did Intensity. I gotta burn off all the calories I ate in Chicago. And let me tell you, it was a LOT!

Wendy: A new ZCut workout series, huh? Has it arrived yet? Can't wait to hear your thoughts. I love how you modify the ZCut workouts to fit you. You "Wendy-fied" them!! :D I saw the salmon kabobs on skinnytaste. They looked interesting. I think i'll stick with chicken kabobs. :D;) Awww, i'm super jealous that you got to see Toby Keith in concert!!!!! He's one of my favorite country singers. Guess I wasn't the only one having a wild weekend. Hehe! :p;)

Wiggie: Yes, i'm recovering...barely. :D I actually don't feel so great today. My head and throat hurt. Steppin in Rhythm sounds like so much fun!! I gotta go check that out. I love complicated step. It sounds like you are getting the hang of it. Way to keep at it!! How are your abs feeling today? I bet they are gonna be sore after all that ab work. ;) Are you still enjoying your yoga-inspired workouts? I say keep it up another few days at least. Why not! :)

Good Morning Ladies.

I did Z-cut #5 y'day morning and was going to work out at the studio with the group last night but DH and I ended up taking a ride by the water and going out for dinner instead (DS slept at his grandma's house last night).

I will Z-cut again this morning and then at 6pm I am training someone so I will stay after and work out at the studio at 7 on my own.

Wiggie:: LMAO! :D It's not that I don't read what you write, silly girl. It's that I have the attn span of a 3 year old and the memory of a sieve! :p Why not just alternate the Z cardio and Z strength every day and then you can follow them up with yoga when ever you want since Z keeps her work outs short n sweet! Or you can do a Zcardio and a Z strength on the same day and use the yoga for a recovery work out in between.

Katie:: So I take it you are not a salmon fan? LOL I lurve the stuff! I could eat it every day! Salmon is one thing on the very short list of seafood that I will actually eat! Glad you had a super fun time in Chicago! No worries about the work outs you missed while you were there. We know you'll hit it extra hard this week to make up for it! ;) Have you tried regularly rolling out your IT bands? I bet there are corrective exercises for that too! If you want I can pick the studio owner's brain for you! Just let me know!

Ok, time to rock it with Z! BBL!

Good morning!!

I didn't workout last due to storms & lightning, so I will start ZCUT today, hopefully. The extended forecast is calling for the same all week long.

Katie: So glad you enjoyed your weekend. Sorry about your IT band:mad:, I hope rolling it helps. I think the fact that you got a workout in at all, is great!! Good job on Intensity.:) Hope you're feeling better today.

Wendy: You are so funny!:p I like your suggestion of doing one cardio & one strength one day & yoga the next. Your date with DH sounds very sweet, very romantic. So are you feeling comfortable as a trainer now?

Have a great day Ladies!!

Hi gals!!

I decided go a different direction this morning with my workout and opted for S90 - Total Body. It was fun! As with most of the S90 workouts, I felt like the cast was moving a little too quickly, so I just slowed it down and worked at my own pace. It took me about 40 minutes to complete the workout. After that, I finished off with a pyramid up routine for both biceps and triceps. I think I might do a 2 week S90 rotation. It's a nice change from Cathe.

Wendy: Awww, your date night with your hubby sounds wonderful! I think it is great that you make time just for you two. :) No, i'm not much a salmon fan. But i'm really not a seafood fan at all. The only fish I care for is tilapia and I will eat shrimp if it's fried. Almost anything breaded and cooked in grease is delicious. :D I inconsistently roll my IT band. Now that i'm going to start running again (i've got the warrior dash in just over a month), i'm going to try to roll my IT band every other day (possibly more often). I also bought this a few months ago, but haven't tried it yet. Pro-Tec Athletics IT Band Compression Wrap : Amazon.com : Sports & Outdoors I would greatly appreciate any advice the studio owner has to offer!! Thanks so much for asking. That's very sweet of you.

Wiggie: Oh no!! Did you have some bad storms in your area? The weather has been crazy lately. All these tornados, forest fires, and floods. Not cool Mother Nature! I am feeling a little better this morning. I think it is just a cold. Luckily a mild cold, but still super annoying. I hate being sick in any way, shape, or form. So did you get in your ZCut workout this morning? If so, what do you think??

Hello Ladies. :D

Well last night's training studio work out was canned for a dinner date with DH in the 'vette w/the top down instead!:D

That being said, I am going to work out there solo this evening after I finish training a 6pm client. :) This is a new person for me-IDK how long she has been a member but I've never trained her before. Not even sure what she looks like! Scarey!

So this morning I did this::

12 @ 15/30:
Perfect Push Up Saw
Barbell Squat
Alternating One Arm Swing

And after a brief break I moved on to Z-Cut #6...with a few changes/modifications of course. :p

Wiggie:: I hate thunder and lightening and hesitate to work out during a bad storm for fear that I will get startled/scared and injure myself! One time a while back I was doing a Cathe work out (no heavy equipment was in my hands at the time thank goodness!) when a bolt of lightening hit a transformer right near my house and blew it up. OMG I almost wet myself! (TMI?? Sorry!:p) I remember instinctively ducking and trying to "block" something from hitting me and screaming. It was friggin' scarey! Obviously the lights went out and I realized what had happened. After that I was just pist coz I couldn't finish my work out! That's some how more annoying to me then skipping it all together! Yes, I am getting more comfortable as I get more experience training. I'm not there yet but it's getting easier. :)

Katie:: I no longer have S90 but the work outs were pretty good. I just got bored with it quickly bc like I said to Wiggie earlier...the attn span of a 3 yr old here! :p Now help me get up off the floor after reading that you are going to take a 2 week hiatus from Cathe!:eek::eek::D:p I will pick the owner's brain re your IT band when we have a few mins to chat and I'll get back to you with his thoughts!:)

K, gotta go! BBL!

Buenos dias Chicas!!;)

Tuesday's workout was ZCUT cardio #1, ZCUT strength #1 & Cathe's the extended stretch. I pretty much kept up with Z. I was slow on the manmakers because doing pushups with dumbbells in my hand always hurts. I would catch up with her on the next exercise. I plan to do her yoga tomorrow.

Wendy: Another date with DH? That is so sweet & I am so jealous!!:D:p New client? Good for you, she obviously has heard how AWESOME you are!! I am scared of lightning too, so the minute I see or hear it the tv goes off. Great workouts by the way!!;)

Katie: S90 is not easy!! I gave that system to my brother 2 christmases ago & he is just now doing them. He is just doing each disc in order, & is on the 3rd go around. I really enjoyed my workout & was super sweaty. I am liking these short workouts, very nice for the summer when so much else is going on. Yes, we have been having some storms, lots of rain, thunder & lightning, but thank God not much damage.

Hi ladies.

This cold is getting me down. :( It seems to be getting worse. Can someone please make it go away? I'm going to run to Walgreens in a few and pick up some cold medicine.

Despite the cold, I did S90 Tabata Inferno this morning. It's not as hard as Tabatacise, but I still worked up a nice sweat. For me, the workout moves at the perfect pace and it is over before I know it.

Wiggie: Your "buenos dias chicas" made my morning. Thanks for that! :) WTG keeping up with Z! That's no easy task. You're so strong. :) IKWYM re: enjoying shorter workouts. The majority of my workouts lately have been around 45 minutes. Mentally, I can get my head wrapped around a 45 minute workout...an hour (or more) just seems soooo long. ;)

Wendy: How did the client training go last night? Are you starting to feel more comfortable training mono y mono? Yeah, I know my spanish isn't exactly on point, but it's all I could think of, LOL! I can't believe i'm abandoning Cathe for 2 whole weeks. That's borderline blasphemy! ;):p I got the S90 series a year (or more) ago and have done a few of the workouts here and there. It's not my favorite series by any means, but it's a nice way to shake things up for a limited period of time. I also tend to get bored with it quickly. Let's see if I actually make it two whole weeks sans Cathe.

Hi Ya, Ladies! :)

I didn't post this morning before work because I didn't work out and I slept in good n late too! :D

After all the working out I did y'day, I am surprised that I can even MOVE this morning yet I'm not even sore!!! Meanwhile, 30 mins of kickboxing with weighted gloves on last week had me darned near crippled for like FOUR days!?!? WTH!?:rolleyes:

Last night I trained a new person (new to studio and new to me too) and then I stayed to go over Turkish get ups with the owner and then to work out on my own after he left. I was there from before 6pm until at least 8:30 and was quite happy about it! :D The training session with the member went well. Lots of form pointers/corrections needed to be made and I was pretty comfy doing it so it made me happy. I think part of the increased comfort level was knowing she was new so I didn't feel so much like a "substitute teacher" to her. I'm sure the experience I've been gaining as time goes by is starting to help as well though...I am working again tonight at 6pm. :) No work out after though! :p

So I was just on FB and the studio owner posted to all of his members that I have recently "shed the intern tag" and am officially a trainer there and that he is happy to have me on board! :) He tagged me in the post so I could see it. He didn't have to do that. So nice that he acknowledged me like that! :)

Wiggie:: I won't turn off the TV during a storm but I avoid water faucets as much as possible (no dish washing, showering, etc) until it's over. Some times I get in the throws of cooking when a storm brews and I have no choice but to use the kitchen sink. In these cases I just do what I need to do as quickly as possible and try to time it so I get it done between lightening strikes! Tyvm re the sweet words regarding training. :) I don't know that I am "awesome" quite yet but I am learning from the "awesomest" (lol) so hopefully I'll be awesome too some day too! :D As for your brother and S90....better late then never! ;)

Katie:: Yes, training MONO Y MONO is getting easier. :D Sorry you are feeling poopish. :( I hope you can grab some medicine that will take the edge off. Sometimes colds can be just as bad as running a fever! Great job doing Tabata Inferno despite not feeling 100%! You rock! :D

BBL!

What I did this morning :D::

Started with:
3 TGU's R / 3 TGU's L

Then added:
24 @ 15/30
SB forward Rolls
Rear Lunge R
SB bridge
Rear Lunge L
SB push up
Deadlift into row

And chased it with...
Z-Cut # 7

BBL!

Greetings!! ;)

Wednesday's workout was ZCUT #2(cardio), ZCUT bonus abs & the cool down. ZCUT cardio has no music so I play my own. Thursday while eating dinner I started to feel so tired that I laid down & slept all night. I very rarely do that, but we have been very busy lately so I guess it's catching up with me.

Wendy: Congrats on the new client & the official shedding of the intern tag!! :D You certainly deserve it!! IKWYM re no doms, sometimes I know I couldn't have gone heavier or harder with a workout & no doms!! I just credit it to very thorough stretching afterward.

Katie: How's that cold?;) Hope you're feeling better this morning. Good job getting in a workout even though you weren't feeling well, that's dedication!! :)
