Good morning, gang!!! I had to check in early, since I have a quiet morning and would like to just veg out with my book before I head to school/work in a few hours. :)

On the agenda today....Low Max. DONE!
Loved it. I really felt awesome the entire time. Sometimes working out at 5am, it's hard to get started, but today I jumped right out of bed and hammered out LM!

I've got DOMS in my core from those push ups. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Not to mention my chest is quite sore too!

I did Low Max on 8", normally I use 6", and I did the core work from High Step Challenge. This was an extra big accomplishment since I was awake from 12:30 to 3:00 this morning. Gotta love perimenopause. LOL

I actually think the worst part of the workout was the cool down because she did so many moves with the arms extended and my chest and back are really not happy with those right now! They don't like any movement that at the moment ;-)

I forgot to post my cardio last night! I did SJP " All step" premix!

This morning I did Low Max 1-5 intervals plus yoga!

Good Morning!

I am soooo sore from yesterdays workout! Im not sure if its all those pushups on the high step that did it, or the heavy weights. Even my back is sore. I don't get a sore back very often. And of course, I can't forget my abs:)

Im not sure what I am going to do today. DS plays in my workout area so Im thinking LM may be out of the question. If I knew he was going to sleep until 9 I would have gotten up at 7:30 and worked out. I will probably have to run on the TM again when DH comes home for lunch.

My favorites moves in this workout are:

DEFENSIVE SQUATS,
LUNGE KICKS, and
MAMBO FRONT & BACK

Today was Low Max. I haven't done this workout in about 2 years. It was fun but a lot easier then I remember. Got a great calorie burn! My favorite combo is #6. Love that one!!! I hate the last one and the blast. Those irritate my low back.

Cardio stats:
1 hr. 11 minutes
1 hr. 1 minute in zone
422 calories burned


I will go back and read what you all did yesterday evening. I'm not sore today, which really shocks me. My chest is a bit sore but nothing like it can usually get. Weird. :rolleyes:

I actually had some DOMS from Low Max the other day :eek: That can't be good considering today is GS Legs, I'll be feeling that for a month! :eek:

You know something Debbie,

I can't seem to get DOMS anymore no matter what workout I do, or haven't done in xxx amount of weeks, months or years.

My DH says I'm a mutant.......:D
 
I have a really stupid question. Were we suppose to do yesterdays workout twice? GS Chest/Back. Because I have doms this morning and I only did it once I couldnt imagine doing all those flyes and presses twice and push ups too!!!!
 
Well, I got up this morning and did the LM 1-4 premix. It felt pretty good - for some reason my butt seemed sore. Hmm...

Was hoping for a "snow day" today - but we didn't get as much as they predicted. Darn. Wait, I mean - YAY! :)

Back and Chest are a little sore today - but not too bad.
 
Debbie I noticed in week 3 you have us doing back and biceps twice. Just finished todays back and chest and power hour abs. Wanted to do cardio but ran out of time. Major DOMS in chest couldn't do the decline pushups and had to go on all fours to finish drop sets. I did manage to do the first 16 on the step didn't go to all 4s until 8.


Roxie, that is done on purpose because with week 4 we have 2 rest days.

Not a stupid question. No, you don't do GS workouts twice except the bicep day I have this week.
 
Good Morning,

Today will be LM 1-4 premix, I to have major DOMS in my chest and back and my calf muscles are still screaming from the leg work sunday.

Debbie-just wanted to make sure I like working biceps.

I ran 6+ miles this morning using iTread Set 9. Wow, those long endurance sprints kick my butt! I burned 876 calories and my average heart rate was 172 bpm (which is higher than usual because I haven’t sprinted in a while). I use my Polar F11 heart rate monitor, btw.

Great job on Low Max everyone! I did the whole workout and the step only premix of it last week and enjoyed it a lot. :)

Just highlight what you want to make bigger and go up to the top where it says "sizes" and then choose a number. Usually 4 or 5 is quite big. You can also go to the "A" and click on the down arrow and colors will appear. Click on whatever color you want and it will put it in the highlighted area. When you it submit, you will see the changes. You can also click on "preview" to see what it will look like.
 
Gayle, I love your energy -- so infectious! I need that today.

After hearing all about KPC last week (but having done something else that day), I decided to do KPC this morning, except I did 600 kettlebell swings during the combos. Good workout! Of course, now I want to do low max. :) Keep it going, everyone!

I'm a bit "hungover" from my lack of sleep over the weekend. it was tough, but I mustered up enough energy to do LOWMAX: Premix 1-4. My legs are still sore-ish, and those 7 and 15 sclulpters really burn my thighs! Not to mention the last 8 lunge kicks! :eek:

I have a good amount of DOMS in my chest. Not so much my back, but I think it's hard to feel DOMS in your back.

Tired and DOMS... I need a nap!

I totally agree! My 10 year old was up at 3am and again at 5am. I'll spare all the details, but needless to say, he is home from school today!

Any other day I would have blown off my workout but this check-in made me not want to fall behind! Thanks everyone for being so motivated!

Today was my 4DS Shoulders day. Shoulders are my weakest group but like everyone else, I would love to have that 'V' shape, maybe this will get me there! Or at least a 'v' shape.

Great job on Low Max everyone! That will be me next week!
