Chiara's post over on the STS Forum got me to thinking about stability ball sizes and proper inflation. I had the larger 65 cm that came in a kit for the longest. After noticing the size is actually based on height, I bought a 55 cm one (I am 5'6"). I then read in the instructions of my new ball to measure the circumference of the ball with a tape measure to ensure it is at the right inflation. However, when I inflate it to "only" 55 cm it is "squishy" (not firm). I like a firmer ball p). Does it matter if it is firm? My step-daughter (who is an exercise physiologist) told me it should be firm. What are everyone's thoughts on ball firmness?
