Fenphedra?? Anyone try this?

Not good

Hi -
I keep seeing reviews for this everywhere and I am just wondering if anyone has tried it?

This stuff sounds awful! I agree with the other two posters. Save your money- our appetite and metabolism don't quite work to those extremes, at least not that I've ever seen or experienced and I'm quite overweight right now. I have had moments where I have binged - but I'd rather binge once in a while than take something that is supposed to simulate what cocaine does - I've been there, don't want feel it again!

I'm so tired of all these "miracle" weight loss drugs! One thing I have discovered is that since I have been eating 95% -100% clean for the past 7 weeks, is that I don't have any of the cravings I used to for sugar, fat, salt, crap etc. I think it is all the chemicals in the foods that create these problems in the first place. Just my .02. Sorry for the rant :)

Yikes! When I saw the words "cocaine" and "amphetamine", I got scared. This stuff cannot be good for a person.

Wow, that ad looks like something you'd see in the Onion. And the name, Fenphedra? A combination of two substances that were pulled from the market after people who used them died? Not a product I'd be interested in trying anytime soon.

Don't do it - step aWaY from the miracle drugs. I took a 1/2 dose of Redux many years ago for only about 3 months and now have a heart problem.

As soon as I saw the name I winced. I'm convinced that Fen Phen (which was a diet drug that was pulled off the market a while ago) is partially responsible for my mother's liver cancer (she believed her doctors who thought a little magic pill cured all ills). That stuff looks like pure trouble.

There are no quick fixes in life. Please don't try this. It will make your heart race and raise your blood pressure.

I totally agree. I was about to try Alli a few weeks ago, but everyone here luckily talked me out of it! Instead I invested in some new workouts and one of Cathe's weighted vests advertised on QVC (which should arrive soon!!!), and I really buckled down on my eats. It's funny how going from 70 percent clean eats to 85-90 percent clean eats can REALLY make a difference. I no longer crave anything, really. And working out regularly -- no excuses-- really takes away the urge to cheat on my eating. Invest in new workouts. And start a rotation and don't waiver from it and you'll stick to your diet more easily. It may take a bit longer, but we'll get there -- drug free!! ;)

Thank you! I was trying to remember the name of that stuff. I think the short name was "Phen-Phen" or "Fen-Fen" something like that and it caused irreversible heart and lung damage! Yikes!

I won't even use protein powders!

I know! I am a total clean eating convert!!! It really is amazing how well the body responds when you fuel it with food it was designed to handle and do the exercise it was meant to do!

I totally agree with the "drug free," it may be slower, but at least you won't make yourself sick or worse :(

Great Advice Stephanie!!!! I went about 85% clean for a while and I was amazed!!! I had no cravings for sweets or salty junk food! I was seeing muscle lines starting to show in my legs and arms. I fell off the wagon about 4days ago....trying to get back on now, thanks for the inspiration!:)

I didn't check the link, but the name makes it sound eerily like a cross between fen-fen (which caused heart problems in some people) and ephedra (which is also not good).

It does seem like a joke, doesn't it?

Even the number of pills in a bottle: enough for 34 1/2 days (when have you ever seen a supplement that contained a dosage for a 1/2 day??)
