Favorite Wines?

I really love the New York wine trails - have tons from the FingerLake area.

Love Bully Hill Riesling - a lot of their sweeter wines - both Reds and Whites are among my favories. No dry reds or whites for me.

But for what I regularly drink - and nearly always have on hand.

Taylor Soft Red - it is a red table wine - they call it "soft" because it has less alcohol and less calories - sort of like a light wine. It is really delicious - my sisters and I drink it all the time.

I also have a box wine I enjoy - Almandon Sangria - always have that available - I was really enjoying a glass of that last night.

For a dessert wine, one of my favorites is Wilson Creek's Decadencia Chocolate Dessert Wine. Goes quite well with those delicacies that go straight to the hips - chocolate, fudgey anything. Best when also served in a chocolate cordial cup. This one tends to run closer to $35, but there are other chocolate ports that are also very good.

Oh my gosh I am drooling over here!!!!!!!

I didn't even know they made chocolate wine....and it's got me thinking about those yummy chocolate cordials they make around the holidays. :p

Help!

Hopefully you ladies can help me, since you seem to know your wines!

I love Penfolds Cabernet Sauvignon. I would say the flavor is blackcurrent/cherry/chocolate with oak.

The price is what kills me. Its almost $30 a bottle on sale and I would like to spend less.

Any ideas?

Anything Yellow Tail! :) I am definitely not an expert either but while living here in Utah, I have enjoyed it! :)

I sure don't have any suggestions. I'm not a big cab sauv person. I will suggest that you find yourself a really good liquor/wine store though. If you can find one where the employees truly know their stuff, they will be soooo very helpful. We are lucky to have a fabulous one where I live. They are always able to give suggestions, tips, hints, etc.
