Excel question

I pm'd my friend Liann who has been a tremendous help to me with Excel but I haven't heard from her. I'm sure she's busy with the little one. I'll throw this out here just in case someone else can help me.

Two things - and I'm working with Excel 7.

I added a Header to my spreadsheet and I can't figure out how to hide it. The instructions say to click on the header, says this should open the "Design" tab, which it does, and then it says to click the "Hide" option in the Table Style Options. My problem is, the Table Style Options group isn't showing in my Design tab. :confused:

How do you do a formula to add several cells from different sheets?

For example, I need to add this:

Sheet 1 - Cell B12 & B27; Sheet 2 - Cell B5 & B20; Sheet 3 - Cell B12 & B15.

I've tried every imaginable formula and can't get it to work.

HELP!!!
 
Don't know about #1 but for #2 does something like this work?
(I have an older Excel but worth a try):
in your target cell (where you want the answer) enter:

=Sheet1!B12+Sheet1!B27+Sheet2!B5+Sheet2!B20+Sheet3!B12+Sheet3!B15

PS. It is showing a space after Sheet3 eventhough I didn't enter one, make sure to remove it.

I think it is mixing instructions for spreadsheet header vs. table heading.

Are you trying to remove a spreadsheet header? To do that, select the header and then click on header and select none.

Table Style Options only appears when you are editing a table, not the spreadsheet header.

I added a Header

I just did what you said but there is still the box on top that says "Click to Add Header". How do I just get rid of it altogether?
