enough cardio in CTX?

Is there enough cardio in CTX to promote weight loss? My other idea is to either redo parts of the cardio to make it 45 mins or else do a different 1 hr long CAthe tape and tack on the CTX weight sections. However, if CTX has enough cardio for my weight loss goals I'll just stick with that!

Yep - I think so because it's super intense. Also, when Cathe combines cardio and weights - that's the 'key' to weight loss. Stick with them the way they are and see what results you get. You can always do more on certain days when you feel you have the energy.

Good luck, Marcia. :)

Let us know how things go.

I definitely saw significant weight loss w/these tapes doing them as is. I did, however, just maintain my muscle definition didn't increase at all which is what Cathe told us would happen. The cardio is most certainly intense enough. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!!!!! Also its soooo versatile you can mix & match it up any way you choose. Kathy

the simple answer to this question is to post it directly to Jillybean. She is the poster child for CTX success and weight loss. Ask her for her story, it's part of the Cathe forums annals!

I think it's a good cardio workout- if it were longer, you may not have the energy to do the weights portion at the end. If you're doing a CTX rotation but want more cardio, just replace a CTX tape with a day or 2 of longer cardio, like running or take a class, but be sure to do the weights portion.

Yes! That 30 minutes of cardio is so intense it's like 1 hr of regular cardio. I lost weight doing CTX and it is the Cathe DVD I reach for the most. I have all of them. :D

I'm so glad to see people comment on the intensity of the CTX cardio segments. I've only done 10-10-10, Kickbox and Power Circuit, but I find them very intense. For me as well it is like an hour of regular cardio.

I like to get in more weight work than just doing CTX, so a lot of the time, I just do the warmup, cardio, cooldown and stretch on a cardio day. I have to workout in the morning, before work on weekdays, and these cardio segments are perfect for getting in a short, intense workout. Then I do a couple of days of total body weight work.
