Drill Max and/or Low Impact Circuit

I have been a Cathe fan for two years, and I visit here several times a day - I just never post. But now I need your opinions. I own almost all of Cathe's step DVDs, including Cardio Fusion. My question is whether I should order DM and/or LIC.

I do not want to purchase a barbell, so will I get enough out of LIC without it?

As for Drill Max, I love the cardio portions that appear on Cardio Fusion, but since the drills make up such a big percentage of CF, I feel like I don't really need DM.

What I really need is to be convinced that I will enjoy circuit workouts. I know that they are beneficial, but I am not used to switching from cardio to weights so often in one workout. Was anyone else reluctant to try circuits but later enjoyed them?

Because you stated that you are not use to switching from cardio to weights during a workout, I just wanted to mention that Drill Max really leaves no time to switch between the two. The cardio to weight section is a smooth transition, but when switching from weights to the next cardio section, it cuts away and moves on, leaving you to pause the player and get all your equipment out of the way. And trust me, there is a LOT of equipment.

Don't get me wrong, I love this workout, but I thought this should be pointed out!

The good news is... you can't make a bad choice here, both are excellent!

I agree with others though ... Drill Max switches from wieghts to cardio pretty rapidly, and often (as there are six or seven cycles), while LIC has only three cycles. But I also like Drill Max better, probably because of all the variety.

LIC is easier than Drill Max, and the three cycles really seem to fly by.

Interesting. I did this the other day and did not have to pause it at all, just put the equipment aside and away I went.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will start with Drill Max, and one day down the road I will add LIC for variety.

I've had LIC and love it so I ordered DM, just got it and previewed it this afternoon - oh my - I think I already need ibuprofin! I can't wait to do it Wednesday morning!

I have to say I am not a big fan of Circuit workouts, but for some reason LIC has that "fun factor" for me. Maybe it's the speed with which it goes by that attracts me to it or the fun cardio segments, I just don't know, but I really like this workout. Yes, it is easier, but because of the "fun factor" I find myself reaching for it more often. So is it better to work out more often at a lower intensity or to work out less often at a higher intensity???!!!

YOU DECIDE! ! ! :) :D :)
