DOMS in Meso one

I was wondering I've noticed I've lost weight with Meso one, I'm doing the six month rotation. But I havent really had DOMS except for the leg workouts, and don't notice much in my arms except shoulders maybe. Is this what you ladies have experienced? Will I have more DOMS in Meso 2 and 3? Thank You for any input!!
 
I had the most doms in MESO 2 and after the first week in MESO 3. This has seemed to vary from person to person, and what type of workouts they are more used to.
 
I wouldn't worry too much about that. I suspect DOMS depends on a few things, including your water intake, your diet, and how much rest you get.

I know we all like it because we feel so pumped and like we worked super hard (which we do!), but DOMS isn't the only indicator of a good weight day. :) Increasing strength gains is the best sign.

I have way less DOMS since working out with Cathe than when I did the FIRM, and I'm lifting heavier now. That doesn't really make sense, right? Yet it's true. My unprofessional theory is that I eat much better now, and I get a good 8 hours of sleep every night. So I can still work hard, but I don't suffer as much DOMS as I did when I abused my body more by not getting enough rest and eating like crap.
 
I agree with the others... I didn't have any (or very little) DOMS with the upper body portions of Meso 1, but the Legs about killed me each week... Meso 2 was a little different and I had some chest and tricep DOMS along with the legs... Enjoy it while you can! :)
 
Guys, I know you will all laugh at me, but I have to share my utter terror. I still havent started STS (at all, that is - I know people are preparing for a second round...) and I am currently still doing my 1RM-s. Two days ago I did the first half of legs, and yesterday and today I cant move! The pain is almost delirious! I mean... COME ON!!! Its just the 1RM!! And how am I gonna do the actuall workouts????
I am.. yeah, shocked. FROM THE 1RM!! All these buts and guts and legs and glutes and kick boxing and all that - has it been for nothing?? I cant believe it..

Everyone will react differently. I went into meso1 after doing weeks of muscle endurance, lower weight kind of stuff, so I really had minor to no doms in meso1, then in the first week of meso2, I was feeling them BIG TIME. Then I never experienced anything but some good minor muscle soreness for the rest of the program. I am in no way, super fit or anything like that.

I've read many times here, even from Cathe herself, you do not have to have doms to make progress, they by no means go hand in hand.

To the poster concerned about the DOMS during your 1RM tests, don't be, that kind of extremely heavy lifting may be very new for you, and it's the changes in your routine that contribute significantly to DOMS. Meso 1 is all about endurance lifting, and I think starts at 60-65% of your 1RM, so you really should be fine. Then the program slowly increases your percentages every week. I'm not saying you won't get DOMS, but starting with meso 1 will probably not be quite the shock to your system that the super heavy lifting has been.

I remember having some pretty serious DOMS from 1 RM testing:eek:
