Do you wear make up, . . .

while working out? During my new kick boxing class I noticed more than half the girls wear full blown make up. I mean I don't have the greatest skin, . . okay I have crapy skin but the thought of a melting face is not so appealing. I mean I love being a girl but sometimes I wonder about the lengths that we have to go to feeling well, . . .girlie. So what is the craziest girlie thing you do in the name of fashion. I would have to say for me it would be my 4" heeled boots which I don't wear often. My husbands always ask how in the world I can wear shoes with pointy toes and high heels.

I used to wear full make up at work on a daily basis, but when I started taking Tang Soo Do I didn't have time to clean off the make up, so now I just wear eye shadow, liner and lipstick or gloss. I also were it for my Tang Soo Do class IF I already have it on. I don't actually put on make up for my karate class but I do leave it on if I'm already wearing it...which I usually am. It never smears or runs or anything. Usually when I see myself after karate I'm a little shocked when I see myself in the mirror with my lipstick still on...I'm like, 'Oh yeah, I forgot I had this stuff on.' :p

Well, when I go to the gym after work I already have my "office face" on, so yes. But I do cardio in the a.m. before work, so the sweat factor's pretty low.

But when I go on the w/e I roll out of bed & jump in the car. Yep, it'd be running down my face in streams if I wore makeup during cardio.

I wear make-up when I exercise because, like Laura, I workout after work and my "office face" is still on!

I have to say that my make-up looks still looks good even after the sweatiest cardio workout.

It depends: if I haven't put any on before working out (like when I'm home on Thursdays or the weekend) then no.

But otherwise, yes.

I don't use a lot of makeup, and it's all pretty much mineral make up, that breaths, and my face isn't 'melting off".

NEVER

I never work out with make-up on. Even if I have it on after the office - the first thing I do is wash my face. This question is in line with people wearing makeup to lay on the beach??!??!? or to go swimming??? The only way any of this makes sense is if you want to meet men - or you look absolutely atrocious without make-up.

If you are a home exerciser - why would you ever???

I just can't risk getting acne for it.

LOL!! My MIL will not step out of her home without a pound of makeup on even when we go to the beach:confused:

I rarely wear makeup except for some mineral powder & mascara and never when I w/o.

I don't wear make-up while working out, either in or outside of the house.

Regarding guys: I used to take a Krav Maga class with a huge room full of guys, and believe me, no one cared what I looked like. We were just happy if we weren't throwing up by the end of class.

Girl fashion thing: Hm. I have a few actually. I dye my hair all the time ~ love changing the color. I also love to play with make up, and high heels are fun too.

I'm a home exerciser, so no makeup. Even just running around doing everyday errands still no makeup, well not quite. I sometimes wear concealer and pencil in my eyebrows. I have scar on my left eyebrow and hair doesn't grow on the outer third. Very often when out at a department store, women jump out from behind their makeup counters to offer to give me a brow makeover. so just concealer and fill in the brows sometimes.
Booboo

I love makeup, but never wear it while I exercise, cause I usually work out in the morning right outta bed after coffee. But when I went to the gym in the afternoon I went with my "face on" and always carried black towels to sop up sweat, white towels show your runny makeup...gross.

I do it all girlie-wise...well except garters and stockings...dreadful things that cut into the thigh causing a sausage like effect...ugh. DH LOVES stockings and garters...why oh why? But bring on the heels!~

I do put make up on when I go to the gym, but most of the time, I get my cardio done at home and lift at the gym so I'm not sweating profusely.

I feel so much better about myself if I have make up on... plus all of those mirrors in a gym and to look at myself at every angle for an hour without makeup. It just isn't very motivating!

I am not a real make up person to begin with. Some cover up and lip gloss is as far as I go on a day to day basis. When I want to "gussy it up" I will do a little of the eyeshadow/blush/mascara thing but that's not often at all and I never wear foundation-yuck.

That being said, nope, don't wear make up while I exercise...

If I go to kickbox from work, yes I wear makeup, if I go from home, no I don't. But if I have noticable acne marks, I will put on some coverup and a little powder so I don't feel so self conscious.

I love makeup, so I do wear it just about everywhere, but I'm ok with running to the store without it. And, I don't go to the beach often, but I've been known to wear some light makeup there too. But then again, if I'm on a beach, I'm under an umbrella :p, so I don't get all melty.

I don't wear a ton of makeup to begin with, usually just some concealer, blush, and I always wear my Revlon colorstay lipstick. I work out later in the day, so the concealer and blush are long gone by then, but the lipstick usually stays on, even through the workout.

I had a session with a trainer a few years ago, and I think the fact that I was wearing lipstick made him think that I didn't know what I was doing. He was surprised at how much I could lift and how good my form was. He started calling me "Mighty Mouse", a nickname my husband still uses whenever I lift something heavy.

DITTO to both! :)

Tripple ditto! I hardly ever wear make up. I am so low maintanence. I guess I forgot to think of people who just get off of work. I guess the reason I asked was because I feel like sometimes maybe I should be more "What Not to Wearish". When I know I'm going to sweat I hardly care and I don't like the thought of big ol racoon eyes and drippy mascara or foundation on a white towel that looks like I used it for toilet paper. I do have that fear of ending up in the emergency room with grandma underwear on so I guess I'm not all that low maintanence after all?

Paint ... on the walls, not my face!

I work out at 5:30 in the morning ... at home... alone. I don't bother with anything more than clothes, shoes, and a ponytail!

Lucky me -- my skin would be a mess if I worked out wearing makeup.

I painted the walls in my fitness center a beautiful peach color. It gives me a healthy glow that makes it easier to be in front of lots of mirrors for an hour or so!
