Do you grab Kleenex between moves too???

Sorry if this grosses some of you out, but I swear, I just CAN'T be the only one with a runny nose!

Even when my allergies or my cold symptoms are at a low roar, it just takes a Cathe workout to loosen everything right back up...and then I'm in the middle of "shuffle-down-A-step-jacking" when my nose starts draining! So now I lay my Kleenex out in single sheets on top of the TV. This way, when I'm "over-face-over-ing," it's easy to grab and blow before the next move!

I don't know about all of you, but I can tell I've worked out really hard when the post-workout-snot-rag-count is 12+...FRUSTRATING!!!!

:p

LOL! sorry meech, but THAT is hysterical!i have chronic allergies, but my nose doesn't run when i'm working out. but i can see how that would be frustrating. the floor beside my half of teh bed is littered with tissue every morning from my nightly snotty nose. yuck!

jes :-( :+

I always grab a kleenex and tuck it in the top band of my workout pants - I can't workout without it! I have been like that forever - I have a lot of sinus problems and I once told a nose, ear, and throat specialist that whenever I worked out my sinus' would clear out and he said that was comon and "Why don't you just do aerobics all day?" Ha-ha - There is something in working out that clears the head out!

That's why I keep a workout towel for my sweat & snot. It's clear and thin anyway, so I don't care. I'm going to shower afterwards, too.

Yep, I'm in that camp too!

I can never hit my garbage can though since my fan is right above it and always blows it back. So after a good work out, there are crumpled tissues everywhere but IN the can!

Oh and NO lotion kleenex! Sweat and lotion don't mix for me!

Cardio makes my nose run too. I stop to blow it all the time, it's frustrating. I have always had this problem even when my allergies are not bothering me.

Cardio makes my nose run as well. Also, going into a warm room from outside, a hot drink, spicy food, cat hair......

I'm right there with you, though my nose only runs during the step workouts and then only during the grapevine steps and marching, for some reason. But I go through tissues like crazy.

I keep a box of kleenex in my workout room too!! Nothing like clearing your sinuses AND getting a wonderful workout at the same time!!

I don't have that problem because the air is so dry in my house, but I do get gassy. That's one big reason I'm glad I work-out at home instead of the gym!

This is hilarious! I always wear a two piece workout outfit and tuck two kleenex's in my shorts so I can just grab it when I need it! My sinuses are just going crazy right now so I need it often!

The gassy thing is an issue also....;-)

Hmm, I don't have that problem (knock on wood) but what I am doing is GULPING down water between sets - I am always amazed that Cathe and crew just keep going and going and going and I think they must be getting hosed down on breaks! :) :)

Cheers,
Marie

HA!!!! I'm so glad I'm not alone!!!!

You know, I should try tucking the tissues in my outfit for future use...that's a good idea!

Gassiness isn't as much a problem for me, though, as another embarassing problem... (gosh, we've said so much already...why stop there?)... after recently having two kids, I find that plyo jacks prompt leakage, if you know what I mean. Let's just say that going to the bathroom immediately before a workout is a must, and Kegels may be my only hope!!!

THANK GOODNESS I WORK OUT AT HOME!!!!}(

How does the Kleenex not break apart & get soaking wet with sweat? I couldn't do this. I sweat to much.

Marla

Not plyo jacks, but boy did MIC, the hi-lo would have me go change after the segment the first few times I did it. Now I focus on Kegels.

Marla

I have the leakage problem too, occassionally. I always go to the bathroom right before I workout too. It usually only happens doing KPC, but it doesn't happen every time. I think Keigels should help with that. I just always forget about doing them.
