Do you collect anything?

>Dust.

I *knew* that was coming, just wasn't sure who would say it. hahahaha

Funny, Bobbi.:7 I'm collecting wrinkles, but that's the least of my problems.

I collect state quarters, but not obsessively. I also collect rocks. Quartz crystals and such... I used to buy them off of eBay by the bucket until they got really expensive. I have a collection of books on women's studies/feminism/women's literature/women's myths and legends. I keep them hidden in our study because I get raised eyebrows all the time -- oddly from other women. :( These days I find myself collecting books about approaches to teaching children through their senses, through play, and through the improvement of motor skills.

Susan, I was thinking don't tell me I am the only one who thought of this? But does it happens to be true. ;) I have many things but I don't go out of my way to get them or have them to add to any other like things, so oddly enough, I don't collect anything. I have learned to let any thing go too. I wiped out a dust bunny civilization under my washer and dryer yesterday. They had developed consciousness too. Darn Flyldy.

"I'm another anticollector anticlutter person, probably because I'm married to a packrat and live in a house that is too small for all the junk we have."

Ducky, I second your emotion.

There is one thing I can never seem to throw away though: photographs. I do have a collection of almost every photograph I've ever taken. Thank goodness for the age of digital cameras.

I have a wrinkle collection the likes of which you wouldn't believe but it was unintentional so I can't count it! I could say books. I do collect books. I keep them too. I read them and never break the spine and treat them like they are treasures, which they are. There's no rhyme or reason to them and the subject matter is wide so I would never think of them as a collection but I AM insane, so what do I know?

Edited to say: See. Although I posted to Susan first saying no collection and then posted to you and changed my mind saying, oh, I collect books, the second post posted first and first second, so I look crazy and I was only kidding!

>Don't laugh. Pig statues. They must be dressed in human
>clothing. It's my social statement LOL. I have pigs in
>wedding dresses, biker clothing, cowboy costumes, fitness
>wear--almost anything you can think of.

My neighbor collects pig figurines. She has hundreds of them. Every time I see something with a pig on it I think of her. Funny but true.

I collect fairy figurines and have lots of them. That's where I got my user name fit fairy- I'm a fairy that kicks butt hee hee!! Now where did I put my wings?

I might have a piggie statue for you. My son went to Northfield-Mt. Hermon (a prep school) and they were the Hoggers. At his graduation dinner, they had little sprightly prancing pigs with smiles and big halos on their heads sitting on all the tables. I took a couple and they are probably somewhere.

I guess you could say I save my sons' things--trophies, pins, photos in the newspapers, etc. They are both star athletes and good scholars, and if I don't save their junk, who will? I figure some day they will want some of this stuff to reminisce over.

I (We) collect classic cars. We have an 1983 Chevy Camaro and a 1981 Chevy Camaro. We have our eyes on a 70's Dodge Charger with a 389 engine, and a 70' Plymouth Barracuda without the Henway 426. Way toooo big of an engine and way tooo expensive.

Also, I collect exercise videos. I have 75 or so.

My husband collects rocks. Go figure.

The house collects dust since we hate to clean.

I also really love boxes of any size, shape, material.

So, basically I collect jugs and boxes. Sigmund Freud would have a field day with that one;)

Bobbi, that was for you:)

I collect books too, but, unlike Bobbi, I can't stand to read them unless I break the spine. I'm pretty compulsive about it - but I guess that's another thread . . .

I collect:

Cat stuff, mostly figurines
CD's - I have about 400 CD's and growing. I am into the rare, hard-to-find, obscure stuff
Books - I could open a library. :) I like all kinds of books.

Ah, Melrose, you make me laugh! It's one way or the other, I think. I once loaned my sister a book and when she returned it, I was shocked by it's condition. It was torn, it was stained; I think she read it at the pool, under the water. Seriously, it had swollen to twice it's normal size. When she gets into a book, she really gets into a book!

I'm weird. I have a beauty product obessesion so I guess you could say I collect bath stuff, perfume oils (from a really cool website - BlackPhoenixAlchemyLab.com), and makeup. I like variety and heck, I'm a Libra so I need a lot of pampering. I also collect anything related to The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm a huge fan.

I am addicted to anything with color. I collect different colored pens, lipsticks, eyshadows. I just love bright colors. Nowadays, I am even collecting different colored clothes pegs. What is wrong with me?

In a previous life you were a crow. Or a magpie. Or a blue jay. They love to collect bright, shiny, colourful things.:)
