Do you collect anything?

I have the same problem with my books that I have lent my mother. She takes a perfect hardcover book and destroys it. A Janet Evanovich came back with the binding broken, pages dog-eared and falling out, wet, stained with mustard/ketchup, and the jacket missing. Needless to say, I never lend her any books I have any attachment to. Personally, treating a book like that is scary. I could never do that and not feel really guilty.

Uh, Paulo: Maybe she was reading the book in the bathtub, fell asleep and the book ended up taking a bath too.

I am a long time beachcomber. I used to look mostly for driftwood but now it's beach glass. Since we boat on the weekends it makes a nice pasttime when I have to take the dog ashore.
