Do you collect anything?

Hi all,

All of you who post to these forums are such interesting (in a good way) people!! I know you're all into fitness but I want to know more!! (inquiring minds and all that) So, here is my latest question...

Do you collect anything? I collect things that have yellow labs or black cats on them having one of each for pets.

I know lots of people collect all sorts of interesting things. Anyone out there want to share??

Apparently I collect pitchers. Handmade pottery ones, mostly. I didn't realize that I did until I moved and actually had room in my dining room for a china cabinet. Guess what it's full of?

I'm the anti-pack rat, so I don't really like collecting things. I religiously de-clutter about every 3 months.

I love Precious Moments and have some assorted precious moments items...I want to start officially collecting the figurines though-I only have 2-one a good friend gave me and my wedding cake topper. I just found an offer in the paper for the PM Wizard of Oz collection-SOOO ADORABLE. I'm going to buy it! Then I will have to find a place to display them...THAT could be the hard part! lol

I love knick-knacks, but my favourite pieces to collect is Fenton Glass. I have only a few pieces. It is hard to find.

I have my collection of Stephen King hardback books and a collection of Normal Rockwell portraits. The dark side and light side of my personality struggle alot, can you tell?

I really don't collect anything anymore.

Don't laugh. Pig statues. They must be dressed in human clothing. It's my social statement LOL. I have pigs in wedding dresses, biker clothing, cowboy costumes, fitness wear--almost anything you can think of.

Also I collect I guess what you'd call Americana--red, white & blue stuff. I have some beautiful paintings of Independence Hall & the Besty Ross house. Lots of stuff w/American flags on it. I've been collecting this stuff since I was in college & it all used to be pretty original, but after 9/11 it kind of became commonplace.

Dragons. I don't have a large collection, though. No one ever seems to remember that I collect them!

I used to collect pigs, too. But none of them have clothes on. I love pigs because they have such happy faces. They always look like they're smiling to me. And they've got those cute noses.

CATHE VIDEOS/DVD'S!!!! I used to collect elephants! Awwwk! Finally got rid of them after I accumulated quite a few. (Dust collector!) I also have many Precious Moments as it is the only thing my kids got me for years for my birthday and Christmas. I ran out of room in my curio so I asked them not to buy anymore. I am now just a collector of fitness "stuff" and tons of paper with fitness topics I have copied off the Internet.

Walt Disney movies. I have not been getting the ones coming out lately though. I have run out of storage space for them. LOL! I also have the Christmas oreo tins from when my DH and I got married in 1993.

I love Gingerbread men. I have all sorts of stuff - candle holders, a mason jar, Christmas dishes, etc. My best friend always buys me something with gingerbread for Christmas.

I also collect Pen Delfin bunnies. My mom buys them for me - I've got about 12.

I guess you could say that DH and I collect classic/muscle cars. Right now we have a '67 convertible mustang and a '67 RS/SS Camaro, both are in great shape and driving order. We only drive them when the weather is sunny and warm. Also in a month or two I will be inheriting my grandmother's '75 Nova. DH also has his eyes on a Hemi Cuda, but we won't be able to afford that for a while. Besides our garage is completely full. No room for another purchase. That is probably a blessing in disguise since we have another baby on the way.

Porcelain dolls, like Ann Timmerman and Linda Mason. I used to collect more but when the children came along, I had to slow it down especially since I became a stay at home mom. I had girls, though, and they already are fighting over which ones they get when they become more responsible.

I collect Lenox.

I like to collect the Russian nesting dolls, esp the mini's thery are so freaing cute!! I got a snowman set for my b-day and the smallest one is the size of a piece of rice!!!!!!!! It is so cute I thought I was gonna die!!

My love for these dolls started on Sesame Street when I was a little girl!! I loved it when the big doll came out and all the smaller ones came out..down to the tiny one!! Fell in love with them then!!

:) ;-) :D :p :9 :7 :+

I have a hard time not acquiring cookbooks - but I use them all!

Also I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to anything knick-knacky and such, but I'm really drawn to "dog art". I've had portaits done of all my dogs. Looking at them just makes me smile. :D

I'm another anticollector anticlutter person, probably because I'm married to a packrat and live in a house that is too small for all the junk we have. I'm always trying to find new and innovative ways to store things.

I guess I do collect audiobooks though. Then I listen to them while cleaning and organizing all the clutter.
