Do I really need Cardio Kicks/Circuit Max?

Hi - I now have 25 DVD's in my rapidly expanding Cathe collection...
I love all of them.

So here's my question - do I really need Cardio Kicks/Circuit Max?
I'd love to hear opinions pro or con.

I think Cardio Kicks/Circuit Max are high fun factor. I like to use them regularly for a "lighter" cathe day (if cathe has any lite stuff). Cardio Kicks actually provides me w/ a really thorough arm/shoulder w/o for some reason. I think its the intensity of the drills. DOMS are always present for me.
Circuit Max is a fast paced fun 60 minute Circut. Not her toghest but it moves so rapidly that I find it a real calorie kicker.
Bottom Line: OF COURSE I think you need them! :7
 
I have both of these on VHS, but have been considering getting the DVD, just for the convenience of not rewinding, etc. I like both of these workouts.

Circuit max is fun and tough!! Probably one of my top 5 Cathe workouts! I also really like Cardio kicks, although many on here don't. It's not exactly kickboxing, more cardio/hi-lo type stuff, with some punching and kicking drills at the end. The day after I do this workout, I ALWAYS have DOMS in the upper body! Partly because of that, I think it's a great workout. Many claim it's not intense enough, but I think you can make it as intense as you want!

Problem is, both workouts require a degree of space. They cannot be performed in hotel rooms at all.

They are both excellent workouts and I disagree that Circuit Max can be used for a lighter Cathe day. Circuit Max is one of the toughest Cathe DVDs. I use it as my own personal standard of fitness. If I can do CM and I'm still standing and high-fiving at the end of it, then I know I am in good shape. It has a lot of variety in the cardio, hi/lo, step kickbox and regular step and it just keeps coming. It has an interval feel to it. I prefer to sub all the upper body compound work and replace it with barbell and dumbell lower body work. So for the 2 mins I will do instead squats, plie squats, static lunges, lunges onto and off the back of the step, etc. At the end of all this, my lower body is worked like nothing else. It is the true meaning of "kicking your butt" and I love it.

I don't do CK so much, but Cathe is energetic and inspiring, the drills are fun and will work you hard and can be used as add ons to any other Cathe kickbox DVD if you are doing your own combos.

I think they are both valuable additions to a fitness collection.

I'm also thinking that many hotels have enough space in their workout rooms to accommodate a floor workout. I could run the workout from my PC and not worry about kicking a dresser :)

My butt can definitely use the kicking.

Another vote for Cardio Kicks / Circuit Max. I really enjoy my own distorted version of C-Max, in which I belt out barbell squats, plie squats and lunges in lieu of the combo upper/lower body stuff with lighter weights (the barbell I use is 57.5 lbs), and after the last compound resistance cycle I flip over to the Cardio Kicks power drills segment. I always drain my SuperSipper with that one.

Ditto on the maximum use of space. I have a very large workout room and these workouts are still space hogs....I don't like to feel "squished" when I work out or have to "modify" so I don't like to choose them often.

i am glad i bought this in dvd. i like the warmup in cm then do ck or do cm and add in the drills from ck. or maybe just do the cardio from cm then lower or upper body from a different tape. fun!

Cardio kicks is fun, but takes up a lot of space. I also think that Circuit max is one of Cathe's toughest workouts. I am light headed by the last circuit!
