Differences in your body over the years

I was previewing some older DVDs from the hardcore series and was struck by how different you looked in those compared to post STS videos. Not bad in either of course but it looks like you are carrying more muscle now? Just curious if this is deliberate and have your workouts changed significantly over the years? You're stunning in all videos of course :) I'm curious also for my own workouts since the look I am going for is similar to the Hardcore Series look and wanted to know if perhaps you were doing quite a it more cardio at that time or lighter weight?

I was thinking that too. It seemed in Hardcore she was going for more of a bodybuilding cut look, extremely low body fat. Now she looks more "normal" to me and I too would like to know how she's adjusted her training and diet for the two looks-which are both fantastic.

The more cut days are a combination of hitting both the weights and the cardio MUCH harder, plus following a clean eating plan without falter.

The less cut look is still doing tough strength and cardio conditioning workouts regularly but NOT TO THE 1.5 to 2 hour daily extreme (sometimes am PLUS pm workouts), plus following a healthy eating plan with some falter.

So cathe, if I wanted the more cut look and was wanting to use sts as my program would you recommend an sts video as planned plus daily cardio plus strictest clean eating without any deviations? Or would you also suggest some double cardio days?

Each person's body responds differently to weights/cardio when we are talking being extremely cut down to the "garden hose" vascular level, lol.

But I DO NOT recommend cardio more than 3 times a week for longer than 30 minutes per session as you get closer to your goal because you will use up all your calories and go into a deficit. Then your body will start tapping into your muscles for a fuel source and burn them up. Not to mention, your hard earned muscles need recovery time to get stronger. If you wear yourself down with cardio activity instead of rest (when you're getting within 10 weeks of your "super cut with muscle" goal), you will be going backwards with your goals.

Good Luck!

So sounds like what you are suggesting is weights, tough cardio no more than 3x a week for 30 mins, and absolute adherence to diet?

Following this because I have wanted to ask the difference bw now and sts videos. You looked super muscular in STS which I love! But I also love how you look in x10. Super fit either way!

Cathe what if you still have a good bit of fat? It was hoping a deficit of calories and cardio and some weight lifting would get me to lose fat and keep muscle ??? How can I do that?

Reading this makes me believe that to get the more cut look that I desire, I need to do more than the 3 x 30 minute cardio sessions that u suggest in the next response. ??
