Good Morning Girls

Today was PLB. I really enjoyed this, with the lower weights, I was able to really concentrate on my form. And as always, the stability ball work was tough.

leg press: 25-30-35#
lunges: 30-35-40#
squats/plies: 35-40-45#
deadlifts: 35-40-45#

My DH came home last night, with a gift for me: a new pink ipod shuffle!!!:) I have been having discman problems when I'm on the treadmill, and he saw how frustrated I was, so... surprise! He is so sweet!:7

Hope you all have a great day,
BBL,

Deanie

Good morning. I enjoyed PLB this morning too. My weights were similar to yours Deanie.

leg press: 25-30-35
lunges: 30-35-40
squats/plies: 30-35-40
deadlifts: 30-35-40

Deanie - your dh sounds like a dream man. I can't believe he actually picked up on a clue that something was bothering you and bought you a new ipod. Wow! He's a keeper.

Gin/Marcy - hope your days are going well.

BBL.

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I did PUB and was able to do the same weights as Cathe, except couldn't go to 20# for chest and did 10# for kickbacks, but I know my form was suffering. The bicep segment seems to go on FOREVER!:p I had not ever done the abs section and it was a good one, except I should have done them BEFORE the upper body weights. Isn't that the way you do it Deanie? Smart! I could not lift my leg up off the ball during planks.x(
Sorry, I am again a day ahead of you. We are going out of town over the weekend.

Deanie--Your DH is a sweetie! Have you ever owned an ipod before? My DH's b-day is next month and I wonder if he would like one to use when he runs.

Tracee-Great job on the weights. How is your ds feeling? Desparate Housewives is one of my favorite shows. The humor is just right up my alley.

Marcy--Thanks for answering the abs question. I guess 3x a week on non-consecutive days is a good plan. You are almost finished with the "X"....Yeah!:D I saw in the paper that Dancing with the Stars were in Dallas, but several from prior seasons. Will you see them again?

Have a great day!
Gin:)

Hi Ladies!

Today was my last Plyo X. I had a really good workout and felt like I was jumping higher than I ever have. I finished the workout in the shortest amount of time today with the least breaks. If I didn't have to wipe off all the sweat, I might have finished in a shorter amount of time! I guess that means my endurance has improved. I checked my resting heart rate today and it was 51. I think when I started, it was 65 although I have to check. I'll post it when I do my final results. Do any of you know what your resting heart rate is?

I did take "before" pictures and I plan to take "after" pictures. I don't know about making an avatar but if I get all your e-mail addresses, I'll try and send them to you. One a week and a half left to go!

Deanie - Glad you enjoyed PLB with the lower weights. Congrats on your new ipod! I love mine. You do have a sweet DH. How's he doing? Is he going to physical therapy?

Tracee - Good work on PLB. How's your son doing?

Gin - Yes, Cathe's biceps always seem to go on forever with me too, no matter which workout it is. I also started doing PUB abs beforehand and it made a big difference (thanks for the tip, Deanie). I might go see DWTS again but not this year. I really enjoyed it.

BBL to chat.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

My shoulders are already sore from this morning.:p

Marcy--My resting HR is usually in the 40's. It seems to go down when I am eating better. Does that seem right or just my imagination? Would love to see your before and after pics. I am so impressed with what you have done!

I just bought a Polar a5 HRM from "banslug" or Gayle and I am anxious to get it. She was selling it on the yaya swap. I have one but, it has never worked in front of the t.v. She says this one does.

Gin:)

ETA: What do you guys think about Cardio Hits and /or The Classics? I very rarely hear anyone talk about these.

Hi again!

Gin - I have a Polar F4 and haven't had any problems with it. Good luck with yours. Your heart rate is really low but I've heard some people had that number as well. You must be uber fit! Maybe it's all that running you do.

I have Cardio Hits. Never did the Classics. Cardio Hits was one of the first Cathe DVDs I bought. Step Works is my favorite on that DVD. It has the most dancy choreography. The other two are basically athletic choreography but Step Fit has a macarena-like cooldown. Step Fit is longer than the others at 70 mins. The other two are 60 mins. This also has Pure Strength Abs on it. I haven't pulled this one out in a while though. Rhythmic Step was the first Cathe workout I saw and it's still my favorite step workout of hers. I'm not going to bother getting the Classics as I think I'd be bored with them but I'm still glad I have Cardio Hits. Step Fit has the "flying angels" move.

Marcy

Gin - I hope you're not too sore tomorrow even though you're already feeling it today. Maybe some extra stretching will help?

Marcy - You mentioned that flying angels move. I hate that move!! Ha. I just feel so awkward doing it for some reason.

Thank you for asking about my ds. He is doing better and eating more. His worst time of day is first thing in the morning. I give him some Tylenol and an ice pack and that seems to make it better. I still wish he would drink more water but I can't force it down him. He was always my child that loved drinking water too.

Have a great evening.
