My SO's mom passed away when he was 11 and about four years ago, we got news that his grandfather, her father, had passed and left some money, which would have gone to SO's mom but instead would be going to SO and his sister. So, the will was put in probate and they KEPT FINDING OTHER KIDS!!!! We've been getting frustrating letters for four years now telling us that they found yet another heir and blah blah blah and sign this and send it back and have it notarized and YEESH! Well, I got home today to an envelope from the Trustee, called SO who gave me permission to open it, and YES!!!! IT'S A CHEQUE!!!!
