Damage Control..Week of July 10th! :)

So I neglected to mention earlier that my WW weigh in this morning has me down .4# despite my Five Guys Burgers dinner last night! You can imagine my happy surprise!!! :D:cool::D

Laura:: Sounds like you should consider becoming the next Zuzana! Film a couple of those work outs you make up and put them online! I'll bet they catch on! :) Yup, we are getting pounded with heat right now but it's only going to be a couple more days. Monday it will drop back down into the 80's and the humidity is supposed to drop too. Thank goodness! In the meantime though, we have a party to attend tmrw at 4pm that is OUTDOORS! :eek::mad::confused: UGH! The only pool I have is my son's little pool but if I have my say, I will be out by it on Sunday. It's only supposed to be 90 that day so I might last more then 15 mins outside w/o completely melting! :rolleyes:
 
Hi Ladies,

Laura-you any my trainer must've gotten together...bootcamp was super tough. After our warmup run...
Drill 1-5 yards high knees, shuffle and tap to the right 5 yards, shuffle back, 5 yards high knees, shuffle and tap to the left 5 yards...all this to the 50 yard line.
Between drills: harness run 100 yards
Drill 2-Shuffle 5 yards, tap the ground side to side 3 times, repeat to the 50 yard line. This is the hardest drill! The squatting and tapping are torture by the end.
Between drills: harness run 100 yards
Run 5 hills
Repeat above sequence 2 more times only adding 1 more hill to the last set and sprint to the 50, recover to the 0, sprint to the 100, recover to 0 for between drills. Oh yeah, somewhere in there we did staggered pushups, 4 count pushups and abs at the end. I slept like a rock last night!

Wendy-way to go on the weightloss! Are you at your goal weight? Cutting down on chocolate and alcohol is making a difference for me. Notice I said cutting down, not eliminating. :D So do you think Zuzana does other workouts besides what we see? I would think she must do some kind of weights with her killer muscles.

Diana:: Wow-tough BC class! :cool: No, I am not at my goal weight yet. Still just over 2# away...and it's taking FOREVER to come off! :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: I cut OUT my chocolate habit completely (except for rare desserts for special ocassions) and cut DOWN on the wine. I am now into wine spritzers! I add 4 oz of diet gingerale to my usual 4 oz of red wine and every night and voila, a full glass of vino w/o the extra added points! ;):D IDK if Zuzana does any other work outs. The site claims that she does not. If she has really good genes she may not have to! Lucky her!!!!:rolleyes:

How is everyone? Have you stopped crying since my disappearance?:p

I have had 4 good days in a row now so I am really hoping for better days to come. I am almost afraid to boast about the way I feel cause I am afraid it will come back and bite me in the rear! I turned 12 weeks last Sunday so I knew that I "could" start feeling better and I have been. I will be 13 weeks tomorrow. I am still taking medication but I have cut back some but it still seems to be ok. I am thinking in another couple of days I will cut back some more just to see. I am thinking by 14 weeks I should be feeling alot better. With DS that's when I started feeling better....althought I wasn't this sick.

I had my Dr's appt this week as well. He looked for the heart beat but couldn't find it....but he didn't search really hard. We don't have the kind that they use in the US, the internal ones. We just use the doppler so the chances of finding something so small isn't great. I am sure he would have found it if he had the time though. Anyway....the scale (even thought I haven't been feeling well) crept up 10 lbs in 5 weeks! LOL I knew I had gained atleast 8 lbs but I didn't think 10! Yikes! I guess that's the way it goes when you go from extreme working out to couch potatoe. All I was doing was sleeping and eating for crying out loud. So b/c I started feeling better I started working out. I finished my 3rd workout in a row this morning! I have been doign weights with about 30 mins of cardio...mostly jogging/walking. It makes me feel good even though I know I won't see any benefits from it.

So now I am thinking of some kind of rotation I could follow while I am pregnant. I know I am not going to see any benefits but I just wanna keep the scale from going up to much, to fast!

Diana** I take it the girls are there for a visit? How long will they be staying for? You must be so excited!

Wendy** Are you still following ww's? Or have you reached your goal? I will be signing up in a few months....Im pretty sure of that! LOL

Laura** How as the summer been treating you?? Fishing and laying by the pool????
I am sure I missed someone. Its been a while! Forgive me! LOL

I am working all weekend. I brought my books b/c I haven't opened them in forever either! I have alot of catching up to do alllll the way around. I am applying on a job at the military base here next month. Its fitness related. Wouldn't that be something....my dream job!!! Of course having a PT course, or phys ed course is a must.....we shall see what happens!

I will try to start checking in on a reg basis!!!

Hi Ladies,

DS called and said he wouldn't be home until after 2 since he had to run a coworkers route before he could start his own route. Anyway he wanted me to let him sleep in a bit this morning. After the girls get up and eat I'm going to take them to the playground for a while and then come home and bathe them. That should burn up some time so DS can sleep.

Although I only contacted my girlfriend Thursday, we were able to schedule family pics for tomorrow! yay!! DH doesn't want to take them since I gave him such a hard time last year because he wasn't in them...due to a gout attack. Hopeful he'll get over and join us! I'd also like to have a couple pics with just the 2 of us.

Lori-So glad you're back with us! Remember that in the beginnin, the weight gain mostly water, amniotic fluid etc. By continuing to workout you are maintaining your fitness, so you will have an easier pregnancy, delivery and bounce back quicker. I worked up the 2 days before jerod was born. The day before I felt too tired to workout and went into labor in the middle of that night. Do you mind sharing your due date with us? The girls have been here since July 2nd and go home on the 30th. I'm on vacation next week to stay home and take care of them.

Wendy-what do you have planned this weekend? My glutes are still sore, I'm guessing its from those low squats with the KB in Zuzana's marine corp w/o. I was re-reading my bootcamp class post and realized I forgot to add Drill 3, there was even more torture than what was mentioned!

Laura-hope you are having fun at the pool today!
 
Good Morning.

Busy morning for me. Up at 6. Working out by 7:30. Hair dresser appt for hi/lo lites and cut at 9:30.

Work out was KCM Split Sessions Upper and YEOWZAS! The very first 2 exercises I did not go heavy enough on so I repeated the exercises an extra time. I went heavier after that and well...WOW! Awesome w/o for just 30 minutes and it included waist work so I got some kind of abs in w/o having to do anything extra! :D I followed that up with Tonique Mat (on back). I did about half of it. Went up to but not including bicycles as that's where she transitions to abs and I wasn't doing that part. Glutes will surely be fired up tmrw though! :eek:

I am back from my hair appt. My hair looks lovely. Too bad the weather will evenutally trash it. :rolleyes: Have a suprise 40th b'day party to attend for a cousin of mine later on this afternoon but my hair will NOT look like this by then! :mad:

Lori:: Welcome back. Glad you are feeling better! Yup, still pluggin' away at WW. About 2 more pounds to go, give or take, until I reach goal! Sticking with WW for maintenance too though so the membership isn't going anywhere just yet!;)

Diana:: I guess I answered your question about weekend plans above! We watched a movie called "Hall Pass" last night. It was funny. Made a pork tenderloin the crock pot with potatoes for dinner last night. Used a Goya marinade. It was good. The pork was cooked to perfection-I pulled it before serving! The only problem is that the marinade was too salty for me. Going to try diluting it next time. Hopefully that will help.
 
Diana** Sounds like you have a nice day planned with the girls! OUr weather hasn't been great but of course the sun is beaming today b/c I am at work. My sister just arrived Fri morning so she is at her inlaws blowing up her sons pool. After I leave work, that's probably where I will go with DS. My due date isn't until Jan 29! So far away. I just made my appy with UC baby. Its a 3D ultra sound and I can find out the sex of the baby as well...that's not until the 18th of Oct!

Wendy** 2 lbs isn't much! You will get there. Have a good evening! And have a drink for me!!!
