Diana, I read your other post/thread but wasn't responding at the time so when it came time to post I just clicked on the thread I saw first w/o even thinking and started typing. :rolleyes: Sorry! LOL :p So BC gave you some full body DOMS huh? NICE!!

Laura:: Glad you had a fun weekend despite it's downfalls! So are you gonna jump on board and try the Marine Corps work out with Diana this week? ;)

BUSY BUSY again today!!! :eek:

last night class was great .. and yes the CABS were POURING off of me :p but it felt great!!!! and YES I DID get up this morning and re-start MESO 3 - chest and back - upped weights - :eek: YOWZA!!!! yes HUGE difference!!!! I will be sore tmrw - hope I can hold up in class tonight .. LOL!!!

Wendy - OK .. when I get a chance gotta go check out the new BR stuff .... if it kicked your arse that bad .. CANT imagine what kind of torture it contains! :eek: :confused: :eek:

DI - I have been on vacation on and off .. I dont reckon I know what day or week it is :p:p sorry .. I didnt see another thread that is why I posted here .. strike it up to blind eyes and vacation mind!!! :p

OK .. tonight is mish mosh plyo and shaping ... :eek::D

Good Morning.

I've decided to rest today. I worked out 8 days in a row and Zuzana has no work out posted for July 13th which is the day I'm on so it works out perfectly for me! My lats are on fi-yah from all of y'day's push ups anyway! :eek:

Laura:: So didja check out BR yet? ;) Good job starting that M3 week all over again! You ain't no slacker!!!!:D Glad you had a great class!!!!
 
Good Morning Ladies,

I set up my workout room last night so am ready to start Meso 3 this morning. Tomorrow though I'm doing the BR w/o Wendy did yesterday! It looks brutal and amazing at the same time. I'm going to get a notebook to keep my BR w/o's in. I have 3 loose papers with the w/o's I've already done, but a notebook would keep them all together and easier to refer back to.

Wendy-I'm sure a rest is well in order after your w/o yesterday! I just checked out the link you posted in FB. I really like that they don't need any equipment and they aren't too expensive. I'm adding BBX to my wish list. My bday is coming soon but I alread preordered Cathe's Low Impact Series and I need a new HR monitor.

Laura-I'm back to meso 3 too and hoping to lift super heavy. I'll be doing plyo legs but possibly adding a second leg day of squat rack legs. Have you decided which leg w/o's you will be using for this mesocycle?

I have the work outs I've done saved in my faves on my pc which is okay but when I jotted them down to do them it was sloppy and on scrap paper. Gotta get a better system going!

Morning Ladies!

Last night was mish mosh: segments of jumping jacks, KB swings, plank work, LB high reps weight work, UB high reps weights work - finished w/ abs! :eek: DOMS: HAMMIES and CORE - and add CHEST :eek: EEEEEEOOOUCCHHHHHH from STS :eek: I did get up this mrng and did STS legs - YIKES - I forgot how hard that was .. and NO I am NOT a morning person - have no balance or energy in morning .. ugh!! :( but i did it anyway and it is DONE for the day ;) :p now time to reCOOP!!!!

Wendy - I chkd out the BR -YIKES - yes that did look brutal!!! NO WONDER you reached major puke factor level!!!!!

DI - ya I am gonna do STS legs - dont have a squat rack - so just gonna do the reg meso 3 plyo legs - forgot how hard wrkn heavy weigth alternating w/plyo moves was :confused: only gonna do the legs on WED and FRI when I dont have class!

Lori - hope you are feeling not so sick now!!

Hey Ladies,

This is the first MesoCycle I'm using my Tower for. Let me tell you it was hard getting the bar off the tower to switch from chest press to barbell rows. I used 75# for each of these exercises. I didn't have this problem in the past since I always used db's for chest.

Laura-good for you for getting your STS w/o at the beginning of the day. You can still use squat rack legs w/o a squat rack. The girls in the DVD are not using a squat rack but do use Cathe's weight vest. Wendy did SR legs too without a SR.

Wendy-I wish the BR site had a print button that would print out the w/o's. I guess we can copy and paste from the site. The last few I did I just wrote down on a paper and took my laptop downstairs in case I needed additional instructions. BR is on my agenda for tomorrow morning!

Lori-time for you to get back to your w/o's, week 12...yay! Let us know how your feeling?

I may try one of the hvy squat rack DVD then - but dont have weighted vest yet :mad:

It is SO HOT out .. OH MY I would have loved to be at home and jumping in the pool :cool: soaking up some rays! this is the first real day of sun we have had since our Jamaica trip!!!!

OMG I totally agree about moving the BB from the tower to the floor and vice versa! I found it easier to do though if my bench was lower (less risers) b/c then the BB didn't need to be lifted as high. MUCH EASIER that way! :) Oh gawd pushing up the heavy DB's for flyes-another one I totally agree with! :eek: And yes, I did SRL without a rack. I used my tower as a quazi-rack plus using my 20# weighted vest was a big help in keeping the BB lighter. ;)

Diana--Yes, I'm going on the NJ RT next week. I'm excited, but I wish I'd been able to work out a little more consistently. I'll be fine, but I'll have to pace myself!

I ran yesterday and did JM 6week6pack level 1 for the first time today. Wowzers. Level 1 does NOT mean beginner.

So, Wendy, (et al!) I'm going to be in the market for new videos, since mine all burned crispy. I will definitely replace my faves, but I'll also branch into some new stuff. Here are the instructors I've got on my list so far. Tell me if anything ESSENTIAL (besides Cathe, OBVIOUSLY!) :p is missing.

OK I'm back...phew, that work out was tough! Looks like it took Zuzana about 20 mins to do this work out and I am usually pretty close to her times but not today!!!! Took me almost twice as long!!!!!!!!:eek: I got a little quicker with each pass through but still. I'm so ashamed....:eek:

The roll ins caused me more pain then I imagined they would! Tougher then I thought to get through those 20 reps!

The sandbag mini squat with jump tucks were fierce!:eek: I started them with a 30# DB but couldn't do the knee to chest tuck jump after the first 2 reps so I did the knee to butt tuck for round 1. In round 2 I lowered my DB weight to 20# and it was perfect. A tough challenge but I was able to complete all of the reps as they were meant to be done so I used 20# again for round 3.

The broomstick exercise was like a gift getting to lay down on the floor like that after the previous exercises! LOL

Hi knees w/jumprope I did w/o my actual jumprope cause I can't jump rope well enough yet. It would have taken away from the intensity of the move and I didn't want to do that.

DOMS: HAMMIES------EEEEEEEOOOOUCH!!! :eek: oh my lawd ... my hammies are sore!!!!! between my class and STS legs they are FRIED! I did get up this morning and did STS tris and bis - and upped the weight .. YIKES!! I already have the starts of DOMS in my dang left bi and forearm - it must be weaker than the right - I should have had a video of me working out Buster decided he would join me - so I was doing lying tricep extension while he pranced around me licking me - then bis on the ball w/him rubbing up against me trying to get me off the ball :confused: think he was HUNGRY :p:p TONIGHT: PLYO class - woot woot!

LauraR - looks like your list of have to haves is spot on!!!! I know you will enjoy the road trip - ONE DAY maybe we all can get together at a road trip - I would love to meet my cyber workout pals in person!!!

Wendy - are you going to the NJ road trip? how far is that for you??? WTG on the BR workout - I saw that one the other day - looked great

DI - what are you up to today?

I have a hair apnt this morning - it is emergency apnt - color needs correcting and it is so freaking long - my "bangs" are longer than my chin now :confused: - my actual 25th anniversary is the weekend :eek: hard to believe we have been married that long :confused: yikes I am old :eek: TGIF tmrw .. WOOOT WOOOOT!!!! and an extended vaca weekend for me again :D:D :cool:

Laura:: Nope, no RT for me. Wouldn't go again unless I had friends with me. That's the only reason I had the nerve to go to the one in 2008-cause Di and Ang were goin'. I considered doing Disney "alone" simply cause I would have been in Orlando already on vacation but it didn't work out and knowing my personality it's probably for the best. :eek: Jen (IrishRose) has some killer hammie DOMS today too! I say better you 2 them me! enjoy it girls! :p

Hi Ladies,

Well I got my butt kicked by the BR Marine Corp workout this morning! I used my 25#kb and it worked fine. Not sure I got the second round quite right...but did my best just the same. I expect my legs to be sore tomorrow, and uh-oh-its STS Leg day tomorrow. Tonight is bootcamp class, another toughie I'm sure.

Wendy-hope you didn't think the marine corp w/o killed me.:p I was slowing down towards the end. Are you joining the 12 wk challenge in our FB group? I'm going to start Aug 1st. After I finish Meso 3, I'm going to do the P90X/Insanity hybrid rotation, you in??? Guess I better my P90X back from my friend. The sandbag mini squat with jump tucks look super tough.

LauraT-Oh my goodness, I bet you and buster were quite a site this morning! I've got plyo legs on tap for tomorrow morning. You really notice your muscle imbalances during STS. My left arm is just for symmetry, it doesn't really do anything. LOL Happy Anniversary!! Btw, I think we are the same age....therefore you are not old! Enjoy your long weekend!

LauraR-your wish list looks great! I've had the luxury of going on two Road Trips, in NJ with Wendy and Ang, and in San Diego with Jacque. You will have a great time. It would be great if all of us could meet up at Road Trip, maybe Chicago...who knows!

Diana, I tried to use a kb with y'day's work out but my right elbow has been wonky and it hurt to hold the kb in the "clean" position so I switched to a DB. That worked out fine too but I had to use a traditional DB. My ST's were uncomfortable when sitting on my shoulder. I was getting ready to post (jokingly) that I hope the work out didn't kill you actually! :D:p What's the challenge you are referring to on FB?? I am out of the loop. I don't go into that Strong & Lean group much at all. I've posted a couple times in the last week or so and that's the most I've ever really been in there. :rolleyes:
 
Morning Ladies,

TGIF...at last! My body is so sore this morning, especially the legs and glutes. I'm sure it's a combo of BR yesterday morning and bootcamp last night. We did a ton of running, sprinting, hills, drills, pushups etc. My chest has serious DOMs too, I'm sure from C&B on Wednesday.

I did have STS legs on tap, but won't be doing that today. I want my legs fresh so I can give the w/o my all. I'm considering either doing the next UB w/o or resting all together.

Since Friday is now my official weigh in day, I'm happy to say the week ended with a 2.1# loss!:D This is amazing for me since I started the week above my beginning wt of all things. One pound of this loss is probably due to my blood donation earlier this week...I'm taking it. This is also the number I haven't been able to get below. Kicking into high gear for the next week may be enough to keep the scale moving.

Wendy-What are you up to today? Any plans for the weekend? I'm trying to see if one my girlfriends can take family pics for us this weekend. The only time the whole family will be available is Sunday. Crossing my fingers that she's available.

Laura-Enjoy your long anniversary weekend!

Lori-saw your post on FB that you are back to running. So glad to hear that you are feeling better!
 
Good Morning.

Today was the july 15th body rock work out called "I just did it". It's a 20 minute interval circuit of various lower body/ab exercises separated by lowjack jumping jacks. 20 intervals of 10s rest/50s work. You go through the circuit 2x for a TOTAL of 20 intervals in 20 minutes. Good work out. Not OVERLY tough today. I had to make some equipment substitutions but it worked out rather well. :)

Diana:: CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS! You can get past your sticking point!!! You can do it! GO GO GO! :D Full body DOMS, huh? Good job! A rest day wouldn't hurt you! I say go for it. You probably need it. We have a B'day party to go to tmrw. It starts at 4pm and it's outside! We are in the midst of a heat wave here in NJ! It's going to be awful! :eek: I don't really want to go to this party to begin with and now the weather has made it worse. :mad: Hope your friend can accomodate you for the family pics!!!:)

:D:D FINALLY Friday!!!!! YESSSSSSSS - last night class was awesome and SOOOOOOO hard!!!!! I keep tweeking and changing my PLYO class -last night did PLYO segments - in sets of 4 w/a 30 sec rest in between - (lrg plyo then fast plyo .. ie: LRG jump squats (20) Faster compact jump squats (40) - Lrg Plyo Plia jumps (20) - low end jack plyos (60) ) then repeated that round same reps w/only a 15 sec rest between then one minute rest before moving to next quadruple set!!! :eek: :D:D:D yessssss it was hard - the last 2 segments I added weighted plyo to two of the plyo exercises :eek: I know I am evil!!!!! did that for 50 min then finished w/ABS!!! SWEATFEST! DOMS: BIS forearms and STILL in hammies!!! yowza!!! this morning I got up and did Meso 3 second week chest and back disc!!!!

Wendy - you are getting the heat (some of it) we have had since dang end of APRIL - we have stayed around 98 w/indexes up to 113 - BLISTERING and HUMID - air is HEAVY and thick - I feel so sorry for the people w/breathing problems that come in on OXYGEN - poor things!!!! there are MANY here that the heat and heavy air makes breathing very difficult! Thank GOD I exercise and thank GOD I can breath good!!!

DI - DOMS all over - I feel your pain - I am just about in your boat - I feel like there isnt one muscle on me that doesnt twinge a bit when I move .. LOL! :p but hey it is all good! CONGRATS on the scale moving .. woohooo!!!!!!

Lori - hoping you are still feeling good!!

OK - so today I am going home and jumping in the pool - it is calling my name!! :cool: DH and I can have some alone time - think VBF - SIL and another friend are coming over and we are going to make some CABS and lounge around tmrw - hopefully it wont rain :cool: - OK ... gotta jet taken forever to write this -
