Good Morning!:)

Its not TGIF for me but Im sure it is for you guys!:confused::) Not only that my coworker wants me to go on call for her on Mon and Tues b/c the girl that just left was suppose to do those 2 shifts for her. So really, I am almost working a whole week straight! Oh.....but it will come with a price! LOL

I soooo wanted to stay in bed today but I remembered that I have to go back to work tonight so if I don't get my workout in now, I won't get one in today. I have no clue what I am doing but I better soon make up my mind!

I read yesterdays thread but don't have any time for personals:( I will so what I do to often, read yesterdays thread, not do personals and then have to reread to refresh my memory!

Morning Glories.

I am not working today (YAY) but promised DS that we'd go back to Chuck's today (UGH). I am hoping that it will go the way it did last time and he will want to leave after an hour in favor of getting ice cream! :D

So I am sore today!!! My triceps and glutes are on fire this morning! I love it! ;) That being said, I am NOT doing anything with weights today. It'll be cardio and MAYBE Centergy class at 1030 if I'm inspired to go. I'll hafta see about that. Not sure which cardio. Tempted to do my Insanity work out but since it's supposed to be a recovery week perhaps I should keep things a bit more mellow. LOL

I think this will be my last recovery work out and I will rest tmrw. Then I can start back up with whatever I choose on Sunday! :)

Lori:: Sorry you gotta work so much this week. Definitely get the favor back at some point and make her cover for you soon!

Jacque:: IMAX2 n Muscle Max back to back? If you do that I will bow down to you!

Jen:: LOL I'm glad that my ADD serves a purpose that's more then just driving me batty! Basically for now I am really trying to figure out how I want to do the X. With Insanity on it's way I am tempted to try and put the 2 together but I'm not sure if it'll exhaust me or not. I am also toying with the idea of combining the X with Jillian as another Catheite did that and apparently got kick-ass results from it. As for the next couple of weeks prior to the X...your guess is as good as mine as to what I'll do! LOL Perhaps I'll surprise myself and stick with SS but just use Insanity as most of my cardio. Who knows. I still think you should run with the rotation ideas we already talked about.

Hey Gals!

Im glad THAT run is over with!! By the time I was 5 kms in, I needed to use the washroom so I had to switch up my route and run into the gas station that my inlaws own. I still managed to run for 50 mins but I was NOT feeling it. I don't know if it was something I ate yesterday or not but I have used the washroom 5...thats right 5 more times since then:eek: I think Im good and cleaned out! LOL I also did 4DS abs and am hoping to fit in disc 26 tonight when DS goes to bed...cause DH will be gone fishing and I won't have anything else to do!

Wendy** Woo Hoo on the workouts! I love, love, love getting parcels in the mail, even though I had to pay for them:eek::p I ordered 2 new pairs of jeans yesterday so I will be waiting patiently all next week. Oh and AE jeans are American Eagle. I have never owned a pair...I think I was missing out! I love the length b/c the short ones really aren't that short. I still have about 1" left in length. For me, short is usually to short and reg are to long. Im odd, I know;)

Jen** My legs don't ever get tired from running every day. The rest of my body does but not my legs. Tomorrow they will be tired if I do weights tonight, so tomorrow may be a rest day if there is DOMS going on. Actually, it won't be b/c I will do disc 27 tomorrow.

Laura** Hope you are feeling better today!! Stupid TTOM symptoms! They are no fun!

Jacque** Do you have any DOMS from yesterdays GS legs? I love that workout!

Diana** Were you freaking out yesterday? I think I would have been o.k with it. As long as the person with the gun wasn't in or around the school! Honestly...! Im not sure what the restrictions are on guns in the US but can you, or can't you take them with you or keep them on hand in your house? In Canada we need to have a gun license and you aren't allowed to take them with you wherever you go.

Good Morning girls!

I did Drillmax this morning because it had been on my mind. Great workout! The humidity is relentless here today, though, and it was a bit nausea inducing :confused: Hoping for a walk at lunch if the weather permits.

Wendy: Wooooohoooooo!!! I don't know who I'm happier for - you, for getting it, or me, for getting to hear how you like it :p I can't wait for your reviews! So are you a glutton for punishment or what? Chuck E. Cheese twice in one week? Brave girl. It never failed...any time I brought my kids there they were sick with something within a week. EVERY TIME :rolleyes: Yup, I'm liking the rotation we talked about. May start it next weekend.

Lori: I'm lol'ing at your post! That must have been one frustrating run. You're lucky that your legs don't get tired. Mine do a bit, mostly my calves. I've got this weird shooting pain midway up my right calf that just won't seem to go away. I'm not sure if somw sort of stretching would help or what. Just don't know what to do :confused:

Well, I think I'll check out the weather report to see what Hurricane Bill has in store for us and then do a little work (and I do mean little ;)) BBS~

Good morning ladies !

Well it's TGIF day and no work for this girl ! At least not at the office - Woo Hoo for me ! ! ! :D Still up usual time so here I am ! DH put up two more doors so now I start the trim and painting again. Remember how long ago that was? Well took 8 months for him to get around to putting up two more and now the last one will be out into the garage. We'll see if that gets done this year or next? :rolleyes: I guess I also need to figure out where we will be going tomorrow - he will now bypass his Toy Show to hunt for Hot Wheels, or at least go really early so we can get outta here for a weekend out of town - not too far, probably to Monterey about an hour away.

Lori - bummer about all the pit stops during your run ! :confused: At least you got it done and don't need to worry about it. So if you're working nearly a week straight then we'll see you here? :rolleyes: Hope it doesn't overload you too much. So has the sun stuck around for you? Not sore from GS yet so will do IMax2 this AM just in case it kicks in later - usually not quite a day later, like the afternoons, but today no stairs so maybe not so much. We'll see. Yee haw on new jeans. I've been buying the Lucky brand at Costco for $40 - they fit me perfect. I have a problem with length though as regular is about an inch too short - I'm 5'5" and not tall enough for tall but too tall for regular many times. Oh well, the bootie fit is more important to me ! :p

Wendy - nice to have DOMS in both upper and lower ! Guess the recovery week really isn't quite recovery, huh? ;) Woo Hoo on the Insanity showing up momentarily ! I can't wait for your reviews - though OD seems pretty enthralled. Guessing I may be checking out the website soon . . . :rolleyes: I remember Chucky . . . thank goodness the closest one for us was 1/2 hour away so rarely visited. Now there's one in town but the kids are too old. May come in handy for GS's though. :p Well yes, Cathe really is targeting Butts & Guts with two leg workous and some serious cardio the day after - then one FB somewhere. It definitely keeps me feeling my legs and I can see the muscle returning quickly in just over a week (since I slacked the end of last week). I'm loving it, but not until I'm done with my workouts !:eek:

Okay so I have decide what I will do for the 2 weeks preceeding my X rotation! I'm going to combine Insanity and the BBC weight work outs! (yes, our rotation discussion inspired me, Jen ;)) After that I am going to find a way to combine the X with both Jillian AND Insanity. Sound Insane? :p Yeah, I guess it pretty much will be! :D I'm not quite sure how it'll work yet. I may have to go off the beaten path of how I would normally put a rotation together but I think I can make it work. :cool:

As for today, I just can't get excited over Centergy class so I've decided to go to the gym and run. Tmrw I will rest and Sunday I will begin my reign of terror!:eek:

ETA: Oh crap, I am realizing with Insanity being delivered today that perhaps I shouldn't run. Perhaps I should just throw caution to the wind and do a new Insanity work out this afternoon! I can always run on Sunday right? I mean, I just KNOW I'm gonna want to rip into those work outs as soon as they arrive so why should I deprive myself? :cool:

Hey there Jen ! Nice job doing DM - it is definitely a killer - I can hardly get back up when doing the walking lunges. How many cals did you burn on that one? I'm curious to see the diff between you, Diana and I on cal burns. Not sure if it's on my current rotation but if not, may sub it out in the next week or two.

Hope all is well and Bill keeps his distance - bummer workout in humid conditions. I'm very lucky the weather is usually cooperative except when it's 100' and I have no A/C.

Try stretching your calf on a step or curb so you can elongate your achilles - sometimes tightness comes from the tendons or muscles attached to the site of the pain. I will get back pains when my hams or glutes are tight. Icing may help the site heal a little more quickly too. ;) Hope it goes away cuz I know you are enjoying your runs ! :D

Jacque: Thanks for the stretching tips. I'll try that. I was actually thinking it had something to do with a tendon based on where the pain is located. So for the entire DM I burned 405 calories. Not bad, but not as high as I hoped for :rolleyes: That's almost as much as what I burned yesterday with my five mile run, about 25-30 calories shy. Hope you enjoy your day off today and do manage to get away for an anniversary celebration! So far today I'm up to 4613 steps, how 'bout you?

Now that my bad belly as disappeared....hunger is getting the better of me:(:D I just ate my lunch but I have a feeling that it won't take long before I am hungry again. Probably as something to do with that early morning run. Im feeling a little sleepy to! Im looking forward to going to bed tonight!:eek:

Wendy** I was trying to figure out a rotation while I am training for the next race but I have to stick to STS. I was thinking about doing 2 full body weight workouts on my days off but I should just stick out the next 3 weeks of STS instead of starting all over again. Have fun with your new workouts.

Jacque** You will be hearing alot from me this weekend! Not so much Mon and Tues cause I will just be on call. DH is the same way...takes him forever to do the things I ask him to but if its a buddy, it gets done lickity split!

Jen** Good job with DM! I think Diana put it in my head and I put it in yours? Its a good workout. It reminds me of 2 yrs ago though. I bought those new dvds when I was pregnant and I didn't do DM until Easter 2007 and thats when my DH's store was robbed. So everytime I put that workout in, thats what it reminds me off.
Stretching helps anything, I think. Its worth a try!

Well done with IMax 2 and was full of energy? :confused: I only slept 4 hours cuz I was working on setting up a Linkedin page. Hmmmm . . . it may be because it is AM and I usually workout in the afternoons. Wish I didn't get such sweaty hair and I'd do AM workouts but don't have time to wash, dry and "iron" my hair in the AM's.

Jen - I got just a few more cals burn with IMax and am up to 5800 steps. I think that is why I like running too because the cal burn is up there. But switching from interval to SS is probably good. The walk to get blood drawn should help in addition to working around the house. Legs were a bit tired but kept going so think if timing works OK I'll do the MM this afternoon. I am liking the 1,000 cals burned by 8:30 in the AM ! ! ! :eek: Usually not that high until after lunch on a regular work day.

Wendy - yep so we are all saying to ourselves "we just know Wendy will have at least one Insanity done the by end of the day" ! :p I think you know yourself pretty well here and if you run you'll probably be itching to do an Insanity anyway and "kill" yourself. LOL !

Sitting here multi-tasking as I soak my feet for an "at home pedi " and will soon be off to make some sort of reservation for tomorrow nite. I'm definitely outta here for the weekend.

Lori: Yup, you and Diana were both the culprits in putting DM in my brain. I hold you both responsible for the early morning torture ;) Funny how something like an exercise dvd can take you back to a time you'd rather forget, huh? I'm surprised you can even do it at all. Things like that always turn me off for good.
 
Lori - you snuck in on me - and I'm hungry too but too lazy to go get my breakfast. Will you eat for me too? :p Glad the belly is feeling better and hungry since you already ran this AM. Hope you can catch up to your hunger. Sounds like I won't be around lots this weekend but will def catch up when I can.
 
Jacque: I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday on my way into work! I was almost a 1100 cals burned by the time I sat down at my desk. That is a beautiful thing :D I agree re: the running...there just isn't a better calorie blaster out there! Though we don't know what Insanity is like as of yet ;)

Oh hey seriously...anyone want the plometric cardio circuitdvd I have? It's the same full work out that you get with the series so I don't need it any more...I paid $15.00 which includes shipping (and it comes with Tony's One on One stretch work out) so I will pass on the same deal to whoever pm's me first! :D But just you know I think I trashed the cardboard cover for the stretch work out so I'll be sending it in a paper protector.

Gotta go...be back after my work out to let you know how it went! :eek:

ETA: Or if you don't want Tony's stretch w/o then I'll pass on just the Insanity w/o for $10.00 which includes shipping. :)

Ditzy PMS blonde checking in .. ugh

what a FREAKING insane day ... :confused: .. OK .. PMS monster has engulfed me fully but I am seeing a shadow of a peak of sunshine on the horizon!!!;) Alhtough a friend of mine at the employment agency em me to say he heard a "rumor" that my DH mill was meeting today to discuss laying off 1/2 their salary people (YES that means DH job in jeapordy) . . so I have been freaking out today .. no word yet .. my tummy is rebelling (nerves) .. I am still so far behind at work I have only got to leave at lunch .. no breaks and I cant even see the bottom yet .. STRESSED TO THE MAX :(:(:confused::confused:

That being said ..my w/o last night was very intense .. I have DOMS in the abs still and now into the inner thigh and butt ... no w/o today .. only nerves working on me today .. my gal pals are scurring trying to get ready for tmrw boat races on the lake .. prbly will be around 20 of us or so .. we are bringin the boat .. and they are bringing wave runners .. taking portable grill .. gonna hopefully get a spot on the beach or island tmrw morning .. camp out .. cook .. sun bath .. and CABS all around .. we are making some tropical drinks including - Malibu Barbies - Tropical Itches - Pink Panty Pulldowns - and just for me a Carribean DESTRESSER!!!!!!!! :eek::eek::cool: The friend going w/us just got laid off TUE .. he said he was gonna be in "rare" form .. my DH and MYSELF are gonna be in "rare" form .. poor DB will prbly be the DD .. :eek: ....poor thing!!! LOL

(for now) we have the consitutional right to own and bear arms .. that being said you have to have a license to carry one ... but you can have them in your home .. there are wiating periods / background check etc b-4 you can purchase them that is IF you are a law abiding citizen .. but unfortunately a criminal can easily get firearms from the streets - from thugs - from other criminals .. they will ALWAYS have guns or access to them ... :mad: ..

Jen .. I gotta get my ped back on .. I am so off track .. and I am soooo ready to get myself back on track .. maybe after this weekend it will be possible .. to start staying at home .. get back to w/o 6 - 7 days a week 1 to 1/5 hours a day instead of my 4 - 5 days a week of late .. ugh .. no wonder the scale is being so mean .. I have been on vacation (physically and mentally) for too long!!! :confused:

Laura: Insanity is the name of the game, so you're fitting right in ;) Sorry to hear DH's job may be in danger, but remember that it's still only a rumor. Try not to stress over something you can't control, just hope for the best and deal with it when you have to, and hopefully it amounts to nothing. I know...easier said than done. Your day of boating tomorrow sounds wonderful and like it's just what the doctor ordered. Enjoy and bring us back some good stories ;) Have a tropical drink for me, will you?
