Hi all,
LL, I'm with you to do Cathe's June rotation. I did Hard Strikes Monday and S&H Chest/Back Monday. I'm going to fit all the weight work in and either do the written cardio or bike ride. Today I'm doing S&H Tri's and Bi's and will probably wait until Sat. to do Legs and Shoulders due to my work schedule.

It's cool and wet here this week-good time to refocus on weight training. I maxed out with the Maxes and did Athletic Training Upper body express Sat. It was so fun!

What's everyone else up to?

Thanks for starting the June thread Beth. :) This weekend was cycling and pilates abs. We beat the rain until the last five miles, thankfully it was a warm rain. This week is CTX in the a.m. and XT with DH in the evening for M/T/W. Hopefully the rain will stop for a Thursday night bike ride. I plan on doing a series each week for this month and then I'll start STS in July.

LL, do you not have the GS workouts? They are a must for your collection. I rate them right up there with STS.

Hi Ladies,

Sunday was a long BR w/o, Monday was Xtrain Burn Sets Bi's only (all I had time for), this morning was BR day 12-legs. BodyRock is starting a new series so I'm going to check that out. I'll have to take a look at the June rotation too. My girls arrive on the 6th and I'm super excited to see them!!! I just popped over to the June rotation and it looks great. I'm not sure about the 4DS step w/o's, they were never my favorite.

LL-sounds like you have a very busy week ahead of you. I do have the GS UB w/o's and second Tina's opinion! I reach for these w/o's quite often.
Beth-Good luck with the June rotation. I mix, match and rearrange the days to fit my schedule too. Our weather has gone from 50's/60's and rain all last week to 90 degrees today. DH turned on the air conditioner on Sunday. Guess the sprinkler system will be turned on this week or weekend for sure.

Tina-Sounds like you have a plan in place. Any word from the school you applied to? I would love to join you on another round of STS. I probably won't start until I'm back from vacation on July 10th. I plan on doing lots of running while I'm on vacation.

Anybody else ordering? I did. I figure the older I get the more I'll have to be careful not to get injuries and intermediate with one body part a day weights will be a decent series. I'm off to do Leaner Legs and Abs...then a bike ride!

Monday- LIS Trisets UB chest shoulder triceps
Tuesday- nothing
Today- hardcore interval blast with leg conditioning, but I cheated and skipped the first kick box and the second step routine group. I was very tired from being up until 2 last night working on the portfolios!
Thursday- Hard Strikes with core
Friday LIS Trisets bis, back core
Saturday-same as Friday

I actually put the rotation (modified) on the workout manager and printed it out!

Hi Ladies,

Last night I did TTM Extreme and STS disc 1-CSB. Yep, STS. I'm losing any definition I had and my weight has been up a couple pounds as of late. It's time to add more weights back into my program. The scale was kind to me this morning and I seem to be back down where I want to be. Still 10#'s over my goal, but closer none the less.

Yesterday I had an interview with a company that is only 6 miles away from where live. It seemed to go pretty well. I hope to hear back from them within a week.

I talked to my darling granddaughters mom yesterday and they are moving to Washington state. The house they are renting is beautiful!!! It has a pool, hot tub and is on a lake! Wow. It also looks like the girls will have year round school which means we might get to see them more often. They would go to school for about 9 weeks and have 3 weeks off etc.
I wasn't feeling well last night, more headache and vertigo. UGH. I wish I knew what was causing this. I took the anti vert medication before I went to bed and it totally knocks me out. I had that groggy feeling this morning and wasn't able to get up and work out. I also have this dull headache on the left side.

Beth-I plan on ordering too! My energy and endurance levels are not where they used to be. Leaner legs is a favorite of mine....well I seem to have many favorites! I love having the disc since it's a one time expense. I still keep considering Cathe on demand but just haven't wrapped my brain around having a monthly payment.

LL-you have great w/o's on the agenda!! I bet you are super excited for summer break...and the kids probably are too!

Hi all,

My legs are tired today! I haven't decided if I'll do upper body and a walk or just a walk. Leaner Legs always makes me have DOMS. For some reason I like my muscles to get DOMS...it makes me feel like I've gotten a good pump and am building something! I know logically you don't always get them...but sometimes I forgo logic! I have been doing a lot of ab workouts lately and even though I fatigue during the workout...I am not sore the next day. My gut is probably my least favorite body part and I'd like it to be flat again. I've looked into liposuction but it's thousands of dollars. Oh well...I may as well admit it...it's probably all my diet. I'm still tracking and eating as clean as possible. I caved at work though today-2 ding dongs...why do I like chocolate so much? Anyway...

Diana I hope you get the job you interviewed for...I'll send positive thoughts. That is great news about your granddaughters! I bought the discs only option. I haven't been able to justify another monthly expense yet either. Plus, I don't think the apple tv set up would work...I looked at the info here. I'm fine with the dvds. I can pause them and go to the bathroom or rest or catch up to the workout that way. Plus knowing what's coming makes it more time efficient for me. I can't believe you did TTM Extreme and an STS workout together! No wonder you needed the next day off! Have you tried any yoga on off days? I'm really enjoying it and I think it helps with the stress in life. I tried it about 5 years ago and didn't enjoy it...and I gave it a good six weeks. This time around though something clicked.

LL, your workouts sound really good! I hope the portfolios are completed soon so you can get to some fun stuff this summer!

Beth, I know what you mean about DOMS!!

Portfolios are complete!! I would have liked to added some more pictures but I ran out of place on my computer and I can't even get iPhoto to open now!!

Now I'm researching chore charts!! Our accountablekids.com needs revamping or discarded for something new.

Today I did Hard Strikes. I was going to add in Core but there were those terrible full sit up/push up combo. I did all the push ups on my knees.

Gotta go to bed!

Hi Ladies,

No workout for me this morning. Those anti vert meds really keep me down for a couple days. Tonight I hope to do Intensity and STS Disc 2.

My son is flying out tomorrow morning and bringing back the girls!!! I won't see them until Sunday though. booh. Hopefully they will at least call me.

Beth-Have you looked into other options besides lipo? I did a quick search for alternatives and came across this site: http://www.mymedholiday.com/article-info/50/192/top-5-non-surgical-liposuction-alternatives One of my DH's co-workers (a male), did the cool sculpting and received good results. He highly recommends it. I have the lower belly issue that most mother's have. I just keep it hidden. :) I've been called back for a second interview next week! Crossing my fingers. The positive thoughts are working!

LL-I knew you would get it all done! Whew, I'm sure you are relieved. Chore charts....I still have one hanging in my kitchen that has DS 1 on it. He's been moved out for a long time. Our kids pretty much cleaned the house for the past 15yrs or so. Now that they are grown and working, it's not getting done like it should. I am considering hiring someone to clean the house for the next couple months while I continue getting rid of the clutter and boxing up stuff. It's just hard to pay for someone to do something I could do myself.

Missy-where have you been. Did you have your surgery? Hope all is well with you.

Quick check, I'm off to a mother son retreat with CDawg in an hour or so. I did LIS back/biceps/core premix 34 min.
 
Thanks for the link, Diana. I read through them. I'm hesitant to try any of them because when I needed tx for my tarsal tunnel I tried Electroschockwave therapy outside Philadelphia. We had to make 3 visits for it and it did NOT work! It cost in the thousands, but I was so resistive to surgery, I HAD to try it. Honestly, the stuff my DH puts up with amazes me. The boys were very young at the time and all of us rode 4 hours down, had the tx, then rode the 4 hours back home. Anyway...if I ever do see the plastic surgeon about liposuction, I've printed off the options you told me about and will ask about them. I doubt I'll ever go, though. I was down two pounds this morning-finally!-and am feeling better. I think between upping the weights and getting my monthly visitor I was feeling heavy! But, thanks again for the link!

Hi Ladies,

This morning we did a run through of the tri. We did the full swim, 3/4 of the bike and extra on the run. Then I came home and started laundry and did STS disc 3. I'm going to try to stick with STS and see how far I can get. I mowed the lawn this afternoon at I'm beat!

DS1 flew to Oregon and back today with my darling granddaughters!!! I talked to them when -they were on the way to the airport. They were very excited to have breakfast with daddy before heading to CO. They have landed safe and sound and I will see them tomorrow.

Tomorrow morning I hope to do STS disc 4 and a 16 mile bike ride.

LL-Hope you are having a great time with CDawg!

Beth-I just wanted to share some options/alternatives. Only you can decide what's best for you. Glad you are feeling better. I weigh everyday and my weight fluctuates daily up to 3lbs. I just track in one of the little purse calendars that I keep in our vanity drawer. My DH thinks I'm crazy but it really helps me stay on track. Also make sure you are drinking a lot of water. That really helps me.

Sorry I've been MIA. We've been so busy with chicks hatching, with the mother hen and inside in an incubator. I did every CTX workout this week except for 10-10-10, I replaced that one with CM. We had a great bike ride this morning and plan on a longer ride tomorrow.

Diana, crossing my fingers that the new job comes through for you! My work is only six miles from my house and it's fantastic. I hope you have a great visit with your GD's. They must be getting big now. Didn't you get them new bikes for Christmas this year? You must be feeling a bit better, that workout you did today sounds killer!

Beth, you certainly don't look like you need to worry about any weight issues from your photo, you look great! :)

Tina, baby chicks! How wonderful. Diana, todays the day...enjoy your visit with the granddaughters. Your workout regime is tough! A practice tri and STS...wow! I just did PUB yesterday and took Friday off to clean the house after work. Today is KPC and a trip north to the winery I joined for a barrel tasting event with DH. Off to do more laundry...Beth
 
Today was a nice long bike ride. This week I'm doing the Hardcore Series. DH and I will do GS's in the p.m. together on M/T/W and I'll do LM, KM, & Imax3 in the a.m. on those days. Friday will be HSC. I hope to throw in a few CM segments too. I may just wait until August to start STS. I still want to do a week of LIS, RWH, BBS, and 4DS and a week of the newer non-named series. So much to choose from!! :)

Beth, how was the wine tasting? Sounds like fun! :)
 
Fembot- that sounds great! You mist have all her DVDs! I have some from every series but only have last 3 complete series.

So no wo in for me today or yesterday. Now I don't know what to do with my rotation. I guess I could skip them and just do tomorrow's tomorrow and not feel like I'm behind. Or do hard strikes no cond. and yoga timesaver. I know hard strikes wasn't Saturday but don't have the kick boxing dvd she scheduled. What would you guys do?? I'm so tired and we have a bit of a busy week at least every evening has sports. But I would have time in the mornings as only tomorrow do I need to be out by 8:45.

Mother son retreat was fun! I shot a rifle and bow and arrow.

Hi Ladies,

I finally did a solo 15 mile bike ride yesterday! I was feeling very inadequate during the bike portion of our run through. My intention was to also do the next STS disc, but I was too excited to go see my granddaughters! We spent the afternoon with DS1, his SO and her daughter and the girls at a pool party! I can't wait til next week when I'm on vacation and they will be spending the week with me.

No w/o this morning, but tonight will be the next STS disc and a cardio. My intention was KPC, but Tina mentioned Imax 3 ssssoooo...that may happen instead. It's a shorter w/o too so doubling up won't take quite as long.

Tina-baby chicks, what fun? What are your intentions for these baby chicks??? We are having better weather so I should be able to ride more frequently now.

Beth-How was the wine tasting? It sounds like a wonderful time! DH and I are considering getting someone to clean our house. I'm having a hard coming to terms with paying someone but may do it for a short time while we work on the bigger stuff that needs to be done.

LL-glad you had a great time on the retreat with your son. I never worried about being behind on a rotation. I just did each days w/o as it fell. If I missed a w/o, then I would do the missed w/o the next time I worked out. Obviously making adjustments if I needed a shorter w/o or whatever. That's why I don't add the rotation to the workout manager. I just add them as I do them. If it bothers you to be behind, then just start with todays w/o and don't worry about what was missed. Have you considered running while your kids are at practice? That's what I used to do. I'd put my youngest in the baby jogger and off we'd go. Although he was getting tough to push by the time he was about 4 yrs old.

Yesterday was LM, GS C&T and CM#1. Today was Imax 3. DH is going to cycle tonight if it doesn't rain. If it does rain, we'll do GS Legs together later. I've started to make a rotation chart for all the series I want to do before the next round of STS. So far I have seven weeks listed. :O

The last egg finally hatched yesterday, so the worrying part is all over. My dad rented a rooster and the broody hen hatched six of her 12 eggs and then abandoned the remaining six egg to watch over the new chicks. We brought in five of the eggs that candled okay, and of that five, three hatched in our incubator. We just need to introduce the indoor three to the other six outdoor chicks tomorrow night. Hopefully the older ones aren't all bullies to the new tiny ones. In total, there are 26 birds, counting the old hens. My son bought some chick awhile back at the store and one of his silkie chicks turned out to be a rooster. We'll see how many of the new chicks turn out to be roosters. We'll be up to our armpits in eggs soon. :)

Diana, nice job on your bike ride and workouts. I was thinking today of begging Cathe for an Imax 4. I just love the format of those workouts. I'm not really interested in the new series right now, but I'm sure I will be in the future, when I begin to slow down. It would be nice if she found time to make one extra advanced workout as a surprise addition to the Ice series. Just dreaming. I hope you enjoy your week with your GD's!! :)

I'm not feeling it today. IMAX 3 is soooo hard! Tina and Diana, I'm amazed you do that and tack it on with something else! The whole time I was doing my Max workout series I did parts of IMAX 3 and never did do the whole workout by itself because I just got too tired of the longer workouts. Today I'm thinking a short lower body with weights workout-maybe HCLB. I'm doing Cathe's rotation for June so did 4DS Higher Intensity yesterday. Tomorrow is Lower Intensity but I will probably do the HI step and the LI weights for shoulders since the step portion isn't that long and I know the HI step part so much better! Tina, I love eggs-I hope you do, too since you have so many hens now! Diana, have any tea parties yet?! Have fun,
