Damage Control June!!

Hi Ladies,

Friday was a rest day and Saturday was Disc 12-legs. I also took the girls to the park, the playground and bike riding. DS picked them up yesterday afternoon. I'm not sure if I will see them again before they leave on Thursday. I've had a wonderful time them. I also pre-ordered Cathe's new ICE series. Did you all see that Shaun T. has a new series with BB, Cize. It's dance cardio and looks really fun. It's supposed to be released on July 20th. I'm not sure I will purchase it, but wanted to share the info anyway.

Today will be disc 10-CSB and a cardio. This next week I'm repeating M1W4 so that my active recovery week falls on my vacation. I plan on running when I'm on vacation. We will be in the mountains so it won't be so hot. I'll probably take some Shaun T. workouts too! I

We are still waiting to get the estimate from the cement place. All this house stuff takes so long. If we didn't need to live here, we could have it all taken care of in about 6 weeks. Updating all the bathrooms, new carpet, update kitchen, painting etc. We want to pay as we go too if possible. When we get to the kitchen, we may have to take out a loan depending on what we decide to do. If we just do counter tops and backsplash it's doable, but if we do the major work which would include taking down a wall and re-configuring the kitchen then we may need to take out a home equity loan.

LL-I like your rotation plans. I'm starting to notice some differences with the extra leg day myself. I've been adding hip lifts and step ups to work the back side and its starting to show. Maybe you can do abs before bed instead making the w/o longer. I'm not sure if they would be easier for you your not. I try to hit abs 3 times per week and it's a bonus if my w/o already includes them!

Tina-you are a busy gal. It's been in the 90's, way to hot to ride. I'm not sure what's up with the crazy weather we've been experiencing. You are getting in some awesome w/o's! We are planning on selling, but not anytime soon. We are hoping to take care of these updates and hoping that next year they will have the model we want already built and available. If not, then it simply wasn't meant to be. We will continue looking in that neighborhood though as that is where I want to be when we retire. I love the clubhouse, indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center, golf course, library etc.

Beth-what are you up to?

Hi all! It's been a busy 3 days at work. Friday DH and I did a long bike ride. Sat. ended up being 12 hours so way to beat to work out and then today I started back up with the Beast. I did the Build Chest/Tris and upped my weights when I could. It was about 40 minutes and I did overhead presses instead of tricep push-ups. Because I've done the Build DVD's once and know them better I decided to add some cardio after the upper body ones-Chest/Tris, Back/Bi's and Shoulders. So today I did the step only premix of Intensity. It was nice to have a 6 min. stretch at th end-the beast does about a minute! BTW-he calls himself the Beast....too funny! It really is so hard deciding about a new job. I'm off a week around the 4th (from the 3rd through the 10th). Maybe I'm just getting burned out? I don't know.

LL, your workouts sound good. Glad you finished the June rotation! You have so many options to have 35 minute workouts with all the premixes Cathe has. Do you have CTX? The Leaner Legs is about 35 minutes and is an excellent leg workout. Muscle endurance lower body is good too-lighter weights and lots of step ups-so good for the gluten!

Diana, good luck with the home repairs. We have decided not to do any before we sell and just get what we get for our house. We haven't had any action on the lot we listed....so it's going to be a while! I don't think you'll regret getting the ICE series. Running and relaxing with Shaun T. on vacation sounds nice! I think I'm too uncoordinated for his CIZE. I don't have much rhythm or good hand/eye.

Tina, it sounds like you're having a nice summer! Working out with DS and DH, biking a lot, and getting so many chicks!

TTYS.

Saturday was our best bike ride this year, as the saying goes, "no chain on the bike". Yesterday was a total wash out, so DH and I did XT CBS. This week is the Body Blast series. This morning will be KPC & L&G. I'm going to try CTX one body part per day with DS this week.

Diana, I feel your pain with the house issues. We built our house 24 years ago and things are really showing their age now. Both the bathroom and kitchen need updating and garage doors and windows need to be replaced. I watched the Shaun T. clip and it looks really fun. My DD would like it. I really want to order ICE. I'll see what's left in the piggy bank after paying property taxes and car registrations this week. It sounds like you had a great week with your GD's. Will you seem them again before the end of the summer?

Beth, nice job on the workouts. Does your DS have any interest in trying The Beast? Are you going any place special this vacation?

LL, what have you been up to this weekend?

BBL to check in on everyone. :)

Hi Ladies,

Yesterday was STS disc 10-CSB. I wanted to do a cardio w/o but after starting CSS and doing that for 20 minutes...and just not feeling it...I through in Intensity and managed about 20 minutes of it then just called it a day. The rest of the day was spent with laundry, grocery shopping and errands. This morning was my extra leg w/o and I did HCLB. I did have to rewind a few times as I'm not very familiar with this disc. I hate when I miss the first reps so I would rewind. What a fun w/o too!

DH is taking my car in tomorrow to have the hail damage checked out. I also got a door ding at the store...UGH. DH thinks it's just superficial so he will have that looked at too.

Beth-nice job increasing the weights!! Glad you were finally able to get in a good ride. We are on vacation at the same time. Do you have anything fun planned for your vacation? Since my DH doesn't want to move soon, there isn't any reason we can't enjoy the updates while we live there. Our house was built in '93-'94 time frame so it is in need of some updating. Plus, if we stick to kitchen, bathrooms, carpet and paint we should be able to the majority of our money back.

Tina-CTX is awesome! I love the UB premix. You will enjoy your Body Blast week. We did replace all our windows about 4 years ago and replaced the garage doors and openers 2 years ago. We also installed solar. We do have some good structural additions we've upgraded, but the interior needs a lot of work.

LL-what are you up to?

Busy weekend. Rest day yesterday, but a lot of running around including helping a friend move for 2 hours.

Friday was LIHI CTS w/ abs 1, Saturday instead of HiiT from the rotation, I did 33 min premix CLB 1-6. Today I did Turbo Barre.

Tina- I see you have been on your bike! I have not been able to get on since that one time. But the kids have mentioned it. But later that I want to go.

Diana- it sounds like have gotten some tough workouts in!! And long ones! Your house stuff sounds like no fun. I don't know if I mentioned it but we needed to get a new water heater a couple of weeks ago. And there are a lot of things that need to be done around here. I'm just ignoring it and focusing on summer camps and sports right now! We actually had a tornado warning here last week!! I don't know how we didn't lose power.

Beth- what is PP? I feel you on the water heater! How do you like BB? Have you noticed any results? I wish they would put out clips of their workouts!! I don't have CXT.

I'm not sure what I'll do tomorrow. Either HiiT or RWH circuit UB or maybe a fun one like PRS or TTM or CF. I'm not sure. Thankful to have options!

Sports are still crazy over hear. Two basketball teams and 3 maybe 4 baseball teams.

Headed to the pool with the boys! Only going up to the mid 70° today so I'll probably work on school planning stuff. I will be handing in all the paper work for this year and next tomorrow. Yay! Then I can plan and read!

I've gone a bit off script. Yesterday was all of L&G and the cardio portion of KPC. Last night DH and I did CLB no blasts premix. This morning was the combo and abs portion of KPC and I added in Amy Bento's In The Ring finished combos premix. DS and I are doing LIHI for our one body part per day. Yesterday was chest, this morning was biceps. I really need to talk DH into trying the LIHI workouts, they are fantastic. My bis are already sore.

BBL to check in on everyone. Off to do chicken chores. :)

Hi all,

I'm still doing the beast workouts. Monday was legs and today I'm not feeling as sore in my legs as last week. Today was supposed to be Back and Bis, but my upper back and rear delts were too sore from yesterday; so I did KPC (Tina!)-a 53 minute premix with all but the last combo and abs. Tomorrow I plan to get back to Back and Bi's. LL-you are so organized! Good job everyone on keeping up with workouts. I don't have any big plans for vacation. DH is off as well for 5 of the days. We'll do some bigger errands, take some bike rides, read, and just relax. I'm off to watch the women's semifinal in the world cup (and having some homemade pizza)!

Hi Ladies,

This morning I did a 50 minute super tough BR w/o. It is 10s rest/50s work for 50 minute...oh my. I did it a couple weeks ago after doing STS chest...and all the pushups really drained me so my BR performance was severely lacking. So I opted to do it again today. Tonight I'm doing STS disc 11-Back & Triceps and some ab work.too.

DH took my car in so I should know how bad it is. He took to his PDR guys (paintless dent repair), Friday we are taking it to our Insurance to see what they will pay for.

I contacted HR at the new company to verify all my stuff was in order. I don't want to give my notice and have my new job fall through the cracks. She said I had completed everything and to bring my passport on my first day of work which is the 20th. Also, when should I give my notice???? I would like to give 2 weeks which would be on July 6th. I will be on vacation during that time. Do I send an email, or tell them in person tomorrow??? I'm working from home on Thursday and Friday is our holiday.

LL-you are a busy bee! Great job keeping up with your w/o's in between all the sporting events you have to play cab and cheerleader for! I figure since we are not moving, we may as well update our current home and reap the benefits when we do sell. However, it is taking forever just getting an estimate on our cement work.

Tina-way to go with the flow, sometimes what's on the schedule just doesn't work out. I'm definitely a fan of the GS series and Xtrain Burn Sets. I've don the RWH weight work and found the finisher to be quite tough! Your DH hasn't tried RWH weights yet? Your chicken chores made me chuckle!

Beth-how are you doing today?

bbl

I decided to do X10 cat burning circuit today. Super tough 28 min!! Tomorrow I'd like to do a short total body wts. I doubtt I'll find one under 36 min, but I should be able to find one under 60. [emoji18] super tired today!

Hi all!

LL, I think Push/Pull is only about 45 minutes and it's total body. Do you have that one? Another option might be STS total-one of the premixes. I hope you find something! X anything is tough-even the warm-up some days!

Diana, glad you're getting in good workouts. That BR workout sounds tough! I think you should tell them in person at work. That's how I would want someone to tell me-make sense? If they don't want two weeks, then you'll be be "done" early...how bad would that really be?! But that's just my opinion..."take it or leave it" as Cathe says! You know your company better than anyone.

I got in Build Back and Bi's today and tried to have better weights than the first time. The back was good, but I had to drop in the biceps-always have been one of my weaker body parts. Tomorrow is cardio and it's only 30 minutes. My legs should be ok by then!
