Damage Control January!

I wish I could do something wo wise, because I want to be finished by Sunday and was hoping to get in PRS 1 or 2 in before Monday when I plan to start max 30. Not sure how to fit them in now. I don't want to quit the rotation but I want to start max 30. I was going to try to do low impact tabata today 15 min or less impact 45 is I were feeling better but I just slept today. Maybe I should combine them? I only have 3 left: CF, LIHI the other one just did part of the chest one Tuesday and LIHI legs. We are having a small super bowl party with 3 families coming so I don't know if I will be able to get in a 45 min wo Sunday. Hopefully I can do some part of CF and I will count that.

Diana, thanks, he lived a long good life, I hadn't seen him a few years, maybe 5 or more, but I did talk to him about a year and a half ago. So we weren't close. But still my uncle.

TGIF Ladies!

No workout for me today. I did 3 yesterday that makes up for Wednesday and today! :) I've gotten really busy at work, and doing somthing I really enjoy. We will probably start looking for a house this summer, the commute is awful.

LL-No harm in starting Max 30 on later date. I almost always start my rotations on a Saturday. Starting on workday is really hard for me and I tend to fall behind since I don't schedule rest days and just take them on days I'm too tired to get up early or just don't have time. Hope you like Max 30 as much as Laura and I do. It is very high impact, when I'm tired I tend to follow the modifier. It's really nice having the modifier too.

bbl to see what everyone else is up to.

Hi! I did 30 minutes of the Rockin' Step today. It was good. More intricate than I was ready for. I did 30 min.

I'm waiting to see the Feb. rotation.

My doctor wants to refer me for weight loss surgery. I'm going to explore it. I have a friend who had it and was successful.

Hi gang! I can't believe it's the end of January already. I'll start my no added sugar for 10 days tomorrow!

LL
, only you would say 3 more families is a small party! That would be pretty big in my house. Have fun and enjoy! I'll play cards tonight. Yesterday I did Step, Jump, and Pump. I had the day off and am trying to do longer workouts on those days and shorter on days I work. It was fun to revisit the power jig, pony, sashees (sp?), and the doobie, doobie music.

Diana
, it's fun and daunting to move. I'm looking forward to it after we're through the college years! Glad you're having fun at work...makes it seem less like work!

Missy
, I've seen good and bad results from the gastric bypass surgery. If your doctor thinks it's a good idea, then that is awesome! Let us know what you decide. I think 30 minutes of Rockin Step is plenty! They are both intricate tapes. I'm still working on learning PRS 1.

Tina, have you dug out? Are you spinning inside? I dreamed I went for a walk last night! Do you dream about rides?!

Off to watch Liverpool take on West Ham United.

Happy Weekend!

Beth

To finish up my rotation, I combined two days worth of workouts, but way shortened. I did low impact tabata from CF 10 min, skipped cool down and LIHI chest, tris, shoulders, one set each, no finishers, about 15 min, and skipped warm up. Tomorrow will be the last of the rotation!! LIHI Legs, but I will try to do just the strength part, 30 min. Today was enough to get my heart rate up, but not a ton and it felt good to lift again, but my right shoulder wasn't feeling perfect, so I don't know what is up with that. I hope I can do the max 30, but I'm not sure I'm going to be up for it. And they now sell the containers separately, $20 including shipping and tax. I would like to join an online group for that...

Beth, no sugar...hmmm...I so want to do this but I just made my double fudge brownies tonight and Little K's bday is a week from tomorrow and I'll be making cupcakes or something. But maybe that would be the best time to do something! Do you do honey? All sugars or just refined and fake? I like tea best with honey. But I can do raspberry w/o honey sometimes. And our breakfast sausage has some sugar in it too. I guess the best way to do it is nothing from a box for 10 days. I don't do many boxes/cans/bags, but chicken sausage, pasta sauce and the cherry peppers from the olive bar! Those have sugar too!! And I bought some of those for our Super Bowl party to stuff with hummus. I wonder if the frozen meatballs from whole foods have sugar in the too. Or are you just staying away from sweets/desserts and the like?

LL, I just stay away from added sugars-so no sugar in my teas or on my oatmeal-and then have no dessert type foods-candy, cookies, cakes, ice cream, etc. I try not to eat a lot of processed anyway, but use soy milk and yogurt that have sugar in them. For me it's about not eating sweet treats mainly I carry nuts in my pocket at work!

Beth

I think I'm going to join you, the scale told me to this morning!! But I need to have my honey in my tea, it helps with my sore throat. And my cough drops probably have some sugar in them. I hope I'm not setting myself up to fail with super bowl tonight and Little K's bday next weekend!!

LL, you can still eat lots of good foods! Have you tried black beans mixed with salsa and corn chips? They are filling and don't have much sugar. Plus, one piece of birthday cake isn't going to undo 10 days of limited treats. Go for it. We can motivate each other!

Beth

I did a barbell only routine that was filmed in cathe's gym. I loved it! I loved the idea of using only a barbell for upper body. It was a good workout. Fun.

In going try. Today will be hard. I do love those brownies. But I'm was also 172 this morning and I need to be at 171, 2 pounds over my goal.

By tomorrow night! I need to keep my life time etools free so I need to be there with my weight low.

I really don't think I'm going to be able to start max tomorrow. I'm just feeling up for something so extreme.

Let's see, Friday was BM2 cardio premix, Saturday was a day off, and today was Ride and STS pilates abs. DH's doctor has forbidden him to do regular crunches from now until six weeks after his surgery, but pilates or yoga abs are okay until his surgery. He'll be on the down low for six weeks, so I'll be partner-less in the basement. :( This week is my Amy Bento bonanza. I really need my butt kicked after the uncontrollable stress eating I've been doing. We're in for another foot + of snow tomorrow, so I'll be burning some calories with the MORE shoveling.

LL, I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your uncle. I hope your step dad is feeling better.

Missy, what kind of surgery? I know a mom from my daughter's old dance group who had the band surgery done and she has kept off over 110 lbs for the past eight years and told me it was the best decision she ever made. Good luck at your consult. The way you're going with your workouts though, you may not need it. You've been doing fantastic! :)

Diana, that's awesome you're loving your job right now. I hope you can find a house closer this summer.

Beth, you bet I'm dreaming about riding on the road. It's the only thing keeping me sane right now.

It hasn't even started snowing yet and they've already called of school for tomorrow. I'll be back in the a.m. to check in on everyone. :)

Beth, I didn't have any of the brownies tonight!!! Just had to share about making it thru day 1 with no sugar!

I know it's 2/2, but I've not started a thread on the new system...Sorry! To keep up to date with my workouts: Sat. I did the Viper from Terminator and Sunday I did Butts and Guts. Today I plan Body Max 2 premix: Double Upper body, shoveling, and yoga tonight.

Beth

ps. Where is that groundhog?! It's still snowing here.

The surgery would be the gastric sleeve. I went through the process last year, but the insurance company didn't approve it. I was 39 bmi and they wouldn't do it unless it was 40 bmi. Now I'm 41 and with a difference insurance company.

I have had tons of trouble with sugar lately. Very frustrating! But if I fall off, I still workout.

I did 15 minutes of the high reps workout. I like it. I should have done it earlier in the day.

Cathe's feb rotation is oldies. I like them. I like bodymax 2, but I'm familiar with them and I'd like to do some newer ones. Hiit looks too hard...we talked about xtrain...maybe that series.
