Damage Control August :)

Hi Ladies,

I was too tired to get up when my alarm went off this morning. I wasn't really worried about since I have w/o's planned through Sunday. This morning DH told me we are taking care of his Mom on Friday and Saturday. Had I known that last night, then I would've forced myself to get up and w/o this morning.

Tina-So sorry to hear about your dear cat. HUGS You must have legs of steel. My workouts start about 5:10 am each morning. My workout clothes/shoes are set out in the bathroom each night. I'm so much weaker than I used to be. STS should help me get some strength and muscle back though.

Laura-welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time.

LL-sounds to me like you had a very active vacation! Are you prepared for school to start back up?

Hi all!

rmrmr and fembot- I'm almost ready for school to start. I am still working on schedule (have 1 day almost ready, the others will be easier since half the days are out of the house), assignment sheets (just modifying last years and then have to get them spiral bound) and chore chart (currently working on, kitchen jobs are assigned, which are the hardest!). I still have a few supplies to get and tuition to pay for their once a week classes. But I could start tomorrow if need be. But I don't feel ready!!! Oh and meal planning, I have a lot to do there, but that is on going. I'm just going to be doing more prepping ahead, freezing, crockpot!

Finally did my first "real" workout since vacation: HiiT 40/20, I stink at butt kicks and tuck jumps!!! Today I've been procrastinating on the computer with meal planning and chore stuff but I hope to do some upper body wts.

Last night was a fast 37 mile ride (mostly flat, explains the fast) and today was STS M3D27 and CSS. I really like CSS for an add on to STS, short and sweet and feels like a core workout. It never fails to make me sweat!

Diana, maybe your early morning switch up is cause for some of your strength loss. I know if I don't have two cups of coffee and at least 30 minutes to dust off my eye balls, I'd be dropping down on some weights. It's all about what's challenging to you, not the amount you're lifting. And about my legs, they are massive! I'm smaller everywhere this summer, but my thighs, I'm diesel powered. We cycled with a Canadian pro rider this weekend and I pulled for five miles and kept up without a problem. Toot-toot my own horn. :D Good luck taking care of your MIL. I hope she's a happy patient. ;)

LL, you are so much more organized than I am. I refuse to start schooling until after Labor Day. Next week I'll get everything in order. I'll be panicking on Monday. Nice job on 40/20! :)

Hi to everyone. Have a great weekend. :)

Early workout today, none the last 2 days. 35 min fitness circuit, ploy tabata and core! Did I mention I hate lunges and tuck jumps!!

First day of school! Gotta get moving! Hopefully more later!

Hi to all!

Hi Ladies,

Is it Monday already??? DH and I spent Friday through Sunday with my MIL. She is doing really good though. She gets around quite well with her walker right now. I'm not sure that she could be on her feet long enough to cook for herself yet.

Saturday was a rest day and I did get out for a bit to attend a wedding. It was a lovely ceremony. Sunday I went to the class at the new gym and did STS disc 4-CSB. It was pushup torture for sure. This morning was Cross Fire which I don't reach for often. For some reason I much prefer TTM, but it's nice to mix things up a bit!

LL-You are doing great. We all have those exercises we love to hate. Good luck with the first day of school activities.

Tina-Nice job on the bike ride. I've asked for a new bike helmet, bike computer and cadence sensor for my birthday. Perhaps around Christmas time or early next year I'll put a new bike on layaway so I can have it for the spring. Actually the loss is strength has more to do with me doing mostly cardio activities with the tri training than with the time of day I work out.

Jacque-how was your weekend?

Laura-hope you were able to enjoy a stress free weekend!

Wendy-Happy Cruising!

Saturday was a rest day, yesterday was a 60 mile ride, and today was STS M3D28 and the Fire Walker portion of CF. I may try for a short bike ride with DH tonight. I'll see how peppy I feel later.

Diana, happy to hear your MIL is healing quickly. You are super woman keeping up with the workouts! TTM is one of the few workouts I don't own. I started back to work this week, so I'll have to put it on my wish list for this fall. Let me know when you start shopping for a new bike, I LOVE bike shopping! :)

LL, I hope your first day of school went smoothly. I like when we have a routine down and know how long each subject will take.

Hi to everyone else. :)

Hi all!

Fembot- how do you ride for 60 min!! Do you get bored or tired? Hills and curves or just a straight flat shot? We have a trail down below our home that is straight and flat but there is an awful hill to get to.

XTrain CBS rounds 1-4 32 min complete!

First day of school went well! All finished before lunch except the oldest he still had Latin and Logic to do. But all done early.

Gotta get in the shower!

Hi Ladies,

Yesterday was CLB and this morning was STS Disc-5-Back & Triceps. Then I used my ab machine with 20#'s. I also started the BR Squat Challenge so added those exercises on this morning.

LL-glad the 1st day of school was smooth sailing.

Tina-Where do you find the time for all this rididng? My new job has me away from home a minimum of 10 hours each day. With my previous job being so close to home it was easy to run errands at lunch or on my way home from work. I miss that. I need to get to the post office to renew my passport and even that is becoming an issue.

Hi to Laura and Wendy!

We have had 3 suicides here in our small town .. so sad! one a co-worker here at the company -just so much sadness and madness in this world ..

I have been doing Pi-yo when i can- my body system is so messed up again tho .. stress is killing me .. and i wish i could let it go ... but it is inescapable! and SOOOOOO UNCALLED FOR!

on a positive note .. I tell ya .. Pi-Yo .. I am LOVING it .. it is surprisingly tuff .. and FUN!

Hello to all .. we are still short handed .. and the first checks will drop tmrw ... so I will be insanely busy .. I will try to get back for personals later ...

have a great one!

Hi Girls!!:)

We returned home from vacation this morning. It was a fabulous trip but the only work outs I did were (2) one mile jaunts on the jogging track the first two mornings on the ship. So ashamed!!!:rolleyes:

Unfortunately I started getting some sinus issues the other day so I came home feeling pretty poopish. I am taking airborne now that we are back and sinus meds. Hopefully it won't get any worse. I really don't need to feel miserable on my first day at the new job (Sunday!)!!!! I'm not working today or tmrw so I will try to take it easy & hopefully I'll feel better fast. Fingers crossed!

Speaking of the new job, I need to certify with ACE within the first 6 months of employment. I ordered the study supplies before I left and it came while we were away. Can't believe I have to hit the books again so soon!

So while we were away our house was shown 3x! Then we came home to find the St. Joseph statue my DH ordered in our mailbox (supposed to bring good luck when selling a house!). I guess it's already started working!!!! :D

So I worked the night before leaving on vacation. On the way to work I stopped at the local tattoo/piercing shop to pick up a new belly button ring b/c I lost the ball (backing) to mine so I was holding it on with a rubber earing back. Anyway, I walked out of there with 2 new belly button rings and a nose piercing! I've admired the nose piercing (small stud in the side of the nostril-NOT the hoop and/or bull "look") for quite some time now so while I was there I started asking questions about it (no intention on getting it done at first) and 5 mins later I was in the chair! OMG! LOL Anyway, I absolutely love it! :D Having a brand new piercing there is NOT an opportune time to be having sinus issues of course but I'm dealing.

Ok, I'll shut up now. Not sure when I'll start working out again but when I do I will certainly report it!

Hi Ladies,

Yesterday was BR Day 1 and today was BR Day 2. Tomorrw is an obstacle/mud run that looks like a ton of fun!!! If I have time, I'll do the next STS disc-6 I think...legs for sure.

DS1 is stopping by tomorrow! :) We don't see him too much so am glad he will be stopping by. I also hope to get a pedicure and visit MIL.

Today I'm meeting with a financial advisor at lunch to help me sort through my options with my pension/401k/HSA etc from my previous company. I think I know what I want to do, but it would be nice to know the pros and cons of all the options.

I've been overeating lately.:mad: Put the fork down....step away from the table....

Wendy-glad you had a great vacation!!! Oh my, another certification already. For someone who claims to hate school you sure do a lot of studying and homework!:p Sprintervals-just the name sounds daunting. Great Job! Any offers on the house yet? Glad you like your new nose piercing. I've always liked those too. I'm not sure I could pull it off at my age though.

Laura-HUGS. So sorry for all the tragedy and turmoil that surrounds you.

Hi Tina and LL!

Hiya Ladies !

I really need to get here more often . . . seems I am on the road or working "after work" a little too much lately. You would think on the road I'd have time at night but we are finishing up with our daytime business at dinner and then it seems I always have to do payroll back at the hotel !

Anyway, have gotten in at least a handful of workouts per week though not the 5 - 6 I did last month. It is what it is and will hopefully slow down a bit. Y'day was UB Tri-sets. This AM was CCC premix - once through and then core. Exhausted me !

Diana - sounds like you are getting your workouts in . . . I totally get the too much time away from home ! I'm not sure I will ever get it figured out so I can feel like I am caught up both at home and at work. Again, it is what it is and at some point I will take MY TIME and the rest can just suffer! What ab machine did you get? Weekend was nice and
S L O W. We did have our anniversary dinner at a nice restaurant just out of town since Monday, our real date, was puppy checkup. We did a quickie Happy Hour at our fav local Mexican place. Double dipped on the anniv dinner for sure ! :p I'm shocked I haven't gained anything with the amount I have been eating out lately. Makes me think how much I would have lost ! Time to hunker down for the RT ! :p:D:eek:

Laura - so sorry for all the issues you have continued to have to deal with. How is DH doing these days? Good to hear you are enjoying Pi Yo. Seems everyone I know doing them enjoys them tremendously.

Wendy - so you had a nice cruise, huh? Nice pic on FB ! Hope your sinuses comply with your wishes. That is the only thing that seems to ail me these days. This year worse than any other. Usually summer is good for me but I am still getting way too many headachy days. Someday I hope to take the time to visit an ENT since the allergy specialist was no help at all.

Tina - How long does it take for you to go 60 miles? I did a Plyo Legs last week followed by Tabatacise and it took me about 4 days before I could stand up without groaning! Felt so good ! Those have always gotten me, even if I had been lifting heavy legs (which has been years for me now).

LL - nice to hear first day of school went well. I could never have gotten my 3 have been doing some of the premixes myself here and there. The other morning I barely got through one ! Felt like lead in my legs. Today was much better.

Anyone heard from Miss Lori lately?

Looking forward to the long weekend and hopefully some good workouts !

Toodles until later . . .

Hi all!

Busy with school starting last week. But I was up at 5 M-Th and got them in! Today I did X10 Step 27 min. A lot tougher than I thought!

I've been really down this week with my wt and how my clothes fit. I'm not looking forward to long pants! I'm not sure they will fit!! I'm up to 170! I'm going back to tracking on WW and using Lose It! for calorie counting. And I really need to stop having dessert every night! A piece of chocolate or a few measured chocolate chips I think are OK. But I've been having that AND a dessert (bowl of ice cream with chocolate sauce, etc) I've had so much ice cream this month! Ugh! And I'm going to try the 21Day containers again.

Hi to all that follow!

OK, gotta get dinner going!

Yesterday I didn't work out and then today I was in serious danger of NOT working out again but I forced myself to make it happen around 5pm today. Here's what I did::
Warm up of Foam rolling, Indian clubs, t squats, wide lateral lunges and overhead squats and then this timed circuit::
Alternating Myagis, Alternating DB Back Rows, Perfect Push Ups, Alternating Lateral Squats w/a band and Alt KB Swings. I went through the circuit 4 times, doing each exercise for 40 seconds with 20 seconds rest between each.
