Damage Control-April!!!

Good Evening. :)

Thanks to you all for the B'day wishes over the past few days!:D I got personally delivered flowers, a birthday balloon and a card from DH today at work. Now every woman in the office wants to marry him.;):p

My mom picked me up and took me out for lunch today so I didn't have time to post like I normally would.

This morning's work out was short n sweet but still a goody!

32 reps of tube chops while seated on a stability ball (16 per side) + 16 reps of slow oblique mountain climbers on the stability ball x 3 rounds

then...

10 burpees + 10 alternating one arms swings + 10 bear crawls x 3 rounds

30 mins from warm up through stretch. :D

I officially requested the Friday before Memorial Day off from work today because AC here we come! WOOT WOOT! :D

Work continues to be busy busy but I love it. The weeks FLY BY now! It's pretty freakin' awesome!

Lori:: WTH is NO EXPLODE! I will google it though I am afraid! Sorry about the text in the middle of the night. I mute my cell for that reason. If it's really important the person can call my house phone.

Diana:: Glad you and MIL had a great time at the wedding and with the GD's!!! I will have to check out the pics on FB!As for the class you want to try - what are metrics??? If you decide to try one of my work outs I definitely want feedback! :)

Laura:: Ouch. Sorry about your ankle. Another Cathelete recently broke her ankle. Don't make it two of you please!

Guess that's all for now-Gonna work on tmrw's work out plan now. I have a rough draft I made up last night before I opted to sleep in this morning so I will fine tune it for the morning. Btw, the scale and I are officially friends again. It's not exactly where I want it to be yet but it's close enough that I feel safe stepping on it these days. YAY! :)

I just printed off all of the work outs I created coz my notes are such a garbled mess I could never make sense of them now! :p I will keep these work outs for future reference! Never know when they might come in handy! After all, according to WITS, my cert should be on it's way to me as we speak! ;)

Hi Ladies,

I'm wiped out after our 15 mile bike ride and 30 minute swim tonight. I never did w/o this morning, but definitely made up for that tonight.

Wendy-the metrics are based on your goals.....so you are working towards a goal, not just exercising because (I) love it. They do the regular metrics like height, weight, muscle mass, fat mass, water, body measurements and then based on your goals. For example, I want to be able to do 3 full pullups (unassisted) or 25 pushups, run the 40 yard dash faster. They take these metrics at the start of the glass and then during the session they would help you work on these goals so that when they take these same metrics you have definitive improvement. They also provide a nutrition program and weekly nutrition seminars. Good idea to get all your w/o's documented. Then you can make updates or notes...the group really loved this w/o!!!:D

Laura-hope your ankle is okay. We need to do some household stuff....paint the main bathroom is at the top of the list. I also need to wash the sheets and dust the girls room...I loathe dusting.

Lori-I don't really think you need NO Xplode. Copied from the label "N.O.-XPLODE is an extreme energy & performance igniter".

I'm hoping the May rotation is posted tomorrow morning...I hate waiting to find out what I'm supposed to be doing in the morning.

Morning,:D

I missed you guys :) This evening, I am going for a 5 mile run, yesterday took my puppy to the park; Tank ran with me 3.5 miles really it was more like interval running, my pup was ready to get loose in the park and he’s a runner and a jumper argh……….I figure I let him run himself crazy:eek:

What's going on with me? Well, lots........ last week we drove to N. Carolina to bury my niece April she passed away April 27. The week before me my sisters and brothers drove to Virginia for my brother's wife all white 50th birthday party which was Saturday; you talking about something lovely everyone in white attire, was awesome; man oh man, we had a blast. Sunday we all got together for a cookout at my brother’s home had so much fun about 2 in the morning, we got a call regarding my niece. We packed up Monday morning headed back to Ohio only to repack and leave Thursday to N. Carolina.

Now, that’s behind me, it is time to get back to me, see ya tomorrow

Happy Hump Day!!

Hi Ladies,

UGH, it's snowing again....4-7 inches expected. I'm just so over it. Thankfully the lawn was mowed on Monday and should look pretty good after this snow is over. It will be short lived as temps will be in the 40's tomorrow and back in the 60's by the weekend.

We did a 15 mile bike ride last night, the same loop I usually ride on the weekends, only much faster. Actually, I was the only girl that did the full loop with our instructor and 2 guys. The other girls did a much shorter loop.

I just printed off Cathe's May rotation, sure enough she's using GS and STS Total Body for the weight w/o's. It starts off with GS C&T but I may opt for an Xtrain w/o, we'll see when I get downstairs.

Wendy-this circuit looks good to me! For as much as I love working legs you'd think they'd look a lot better. I guess we all come in different shapes and sized and just have to do the best with what God gave us.

bb to see what the rest of the gang is up to!

Hello.

It's lunch time! :)

So this morning's work out was a very good one despite it's unintended breavity but I went too heavy on the BB weight for the squats and deadlifts so I admit to not finishing the last set of lifts. My back was killing me! Making a note to go lighter next time. I did lighten up during the last set of DL's but by then it was too late. :(

TG:: So sorry to hear about your niece. What happened? Was she sick? I know something was wrong but never knew what...(if you don't mind telling us) Sounds like you had a blast otherwise though!

Laura:: Sorry you are hurting. I hope your ankle is better soon! Once that heals I am sure your knee will follow suit! :) The owner/trainer of the PT Studio explained to me how pain in one area is often caused by a misalignment/problem in another area which is why I say your knee should be fine once your ankle is better. I am pretty sure after talking to him that there is a connection there. :)

Diana:: Nice bike ride! I can't believe it's snowing and you needed to cut the grass! What wacky weather! So what did you decide on for your work out? Thanks re my work out. :) Gotcha re the metrics....so it's a fancy word for GOALS! :)

Ok, off to get coffee and then back to work!

BBL or ITAM!

Hi Ladies,

It started yesterday, but I'm not feeling well today. Sore throat, ears hurt, stuffy head, coughing. The rotation calls for Imax 3, one of my favorites but I have absolutely no energy. We are running/swimming in tri training tonight. Walking will most likely replace any running tonight.

Yesterday was Xtrain CSB. It was a goodie for sure! The 8 rounds just fly by and you never really get much of a break.

Wendy-Another nice w/o from Trainer Wendy!!! What is a Body Saw? My Physical Therapist said the same thing about pain in one area. My knee was hurting but it was caused by the tightness in the IT Band which attaches to the hip at the top, and knee at the bottom. Deadlifts are hard for me too with really heavy weight. I prefer to only do 10-12 reps per set of deadlifts, 16 is sometimes too much for my back.

Laura-hope the ankle and knee feel better soon. The temps are supposed to reach 49 today so the snow will be gone later today or tomorrow.

TG-sorry to hear about your niece. {{HUGS}} It sounds like you and your family were having a wonderful get together before this news. Time to get back to taking care of you is right, and we are here!

Lori-What are you up to? Hopefully no more NO Xplode....

Hello! :)

So my Adidas Adipure Trainers got delivered y'day. You may have seen the pic on my FB page. LOL They are pretty comfortable but the toes on my left foot weren't feeling right when I was wearing them y'day. Right foot was fine. Need to wear them more to get my left foot toes acclamated I guess. I want to wear them to work out at the studio on Saturday but I'm not going to unless both feet feel good so we'll see. I don't want to injure myself by jumping in too soon!

Diana:: Thanks! A body saw is getting down in plank position (on elbows) with gliding discs under each foot and while remaining in a solid plank move your body as one unit forward and backward however far you can (like a sawing motion, hence the name! :p) w/o sacraficing form on the plank. I've also included perfect push ups saws in my work outs before. That's the same basic move but you are also holding on to perfect push up handles in push up position when you do the saw move and then you do a push up in between each saw. Fun stuff! You should try it! ;) Sorry you aren't feeling well. Definitely take it easy at class tonight if you still intend to go. I love doing heavy deadlifts but it was too many reps for the weight I was lifting. I needed to either use less weight or do less reps. Now I know for next time! :)

Hey Ladies. Good Morning! TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!:D

This morning was my first work out in my new shoes: adidas Adipure Lace Trainer 1.1 Shoes ! :)

Here's what I did::

1 time thru @ 15r/30w:
Plank hold with med ball roll between hands.
Bicep curl with tubing while laying in bridge position on stability ball.
Weighted punching combo (jab cross hook upper) on one side.
Core stability exercise that has no name. LOL
Squat with calf raise and bicep curl at the top.
Weighted punching combo (jab cross hook upper) on other side.
Alternating side plank with hip dips.
Static hold with weights for biceps.
Weighted punch comb (jab r, jab l, cross r, cross l, hook r, hook l, upper r, upper l)

8 @ 10r/20w:
Plie jump squats with firewalker band around ankles.
Jumping lunges holding med ball.

Now of course to get the most out of this work out I obviously should have repeated the first part of it at least one or two more times but I kept it short on purpose since it was the maiden voyage of my new training shoes! I will do it again the "right" way in the future. It was a good work out! :)

BBL to chat!

TG:: Diana started a new thread for May but I will answer your question here...I tried the new shoes today and yes, I thought they were comfortable! :)
