Good Morning Fitness Ladies,

Last evening: First 40 minutes of KPC and then GymStyle Back (humidity was oppressive and working out was difficult)I also ordred p90X. I hope the fact that I don't have a tower or a chinup bar won't impede me from doing these workouts. Otherwise I will send them back. I can't order anymore equipment at this time.

Tonight: GymStyle Chest and Floor work from L&G on schedule. Supposed to be another scorcher here today with high temps and high humidites. The weather hasn't broken in a long time.

Hi again Cathy - Don't you have air conditioning? Yikes...I couldn't imagine working out without it. I was thinking of doing Power 90X rotation soon. If you dont' have a chinup bar, you can use a real heavy weight resistance band and just buy the converter from Beach Body that allows you to stick the band up in by the door hinge so you can do lat pull downs or you can just do heavy weighted bent over rows when they do them. I'm getting excited about Power 90 Masters. Have you heard about it? I saw the preview clips on the forum and they look fun. Have a great day!
 
Good morning Cathy and Lorajc...

Yesterday was the Gauntlet. I also added on CoreMax premix - Balanced Core. I haven't done a formal w/o since Friday so it was very nice to get back to it. Cathy, I hear you about the heat and humidity, it is 95 here and the humidity is suffocating. I have central air and had it cranked down to 74. DH is here and he came in there one time and asked what I had the air on, he was freezing!!! He promptly moved it back up to 78. I told him I was dying, I was sweating like crazy!!! I said he was getting frost bit. LOL...:+

Today is steady state cardio.... will probably do a premix off one of the IMAXs or perhaps KickMax. I need to add on another core w/o. I've neglected my core w/o's and I'm paying the price. That CM w/o yesterday was tougher than it has been for me in the past.

GS: BSB is on the rotation for today. BUT, I am heading out for a run (need to get rid of some stress) and then when I return I will do the GS Back/Bicep Timesaver.

Well, no DOMS today. Don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing! :p I DO know, however, that it will make IMAX 2 easier to handle today!!! ;)

Good Morning Fit Women,

Yesterday was Boot Camp twice and Core Max 1 and 2. My bum is sore this morning and so are my inner thighs from all the squatting stuff in Boot Camp.

Today I will be doing squats using the Smith Machine and leg curls using our new bench. Yard Max too as I have to mow and will get in another cardio day with the push mower. Gonna sweat some more as it will be a hot one again.

Good Morning Friends in Fitness!

My workout started out strong and I just sort of faded away.........
I did the step from SJP and the first two sections of step from SB. I planned to do it all.....then do some weights. BUT I just got tired quick and decided to stop. I still may do biceps in a bit but needed to end the cardio. I'm sure I know why that happened. I've had 4 nights in a row of very poor sleep and then last night right before bed I ate microwave popcorn (the lowfat mini bag), and had a hot chocolate w/marshmallows. Was just CRAVING salty and sweet! ugh
I've found that eating before bed, especially POOR eating really affects my morning workout!!!x( ;(
Why is it so easy to forget when I am craving junk at night????:(
Anyway, I hope you all have better luck with your workouts today.
I'll report back later if I attempt some weight work.

Good morning everybody!

I did IMAX 3 this morning which was on the schedule for the August rotation. I had skip a whole lot or modify, I just can't do the jump up and down the step thing, I already landed once on my booty doing that x( . Oh well, at least I tried. Didn't to the Squat thrusters either, but I don't feel bad about that ;-) .

Cathy - I am thinking too about getting P90X

lorajc - Thank you for the suggestion with the band and the thingy for the door knob, because that was my main concern too that I have to buy a chin up bar, I wouldn't even know there to put it. There do you get a really heavy band and that door thingy?

Hey ladies,

Today is high step challenge and KM leg conditioning drills. I will add in more weight and core work later in the day. It's suppose to cool down this weekend (70's). I can't wait! I can't believe I use to be a go to the pool and lay in the sun with no sunscreen person! I did that every year until this year. I would turn so dark I would make Lauramax look pale! I finally decided this year due to heat and other issues I wasn't going to do that anymore! I have a nice base tan and see no need to be so dark and ruin my skin. OOOPs where did that rant come from, SORRY! :)

I also have played with the idea of p90x for awhile. I would love any feedback you ladies have. I just thought for change it might be good.

By the way Charlotte I saw you vacation pics and you have such a great family and your hard work shows!
Jane-I need to do some extra core work as well. Sorry to hear about your neighbor. Kepp us posted
Wendy-I keep meaning to ask you this, What do you enjoy about being a SAHM and what do you dislike(if anything)?

Good morning ladies,

Yesterday was supposed to be pub,but did not get to it. Today I did pub (cst). Body didn't feel like the whole workout. But this has been the first workout since last Thursday! It feels good to get back to it! will do 100 crunches later today.

Terri...SJP was really fun the way I did it. Added on about 12 minutes.

Laurie...we will have to compare notes on HSTA when we both do it....:)

Sandra...I'll admit that last set of static lunges from SJP were tough on my legs!! No DOMS though. A nice workout for you upper body you did yesterday. I am already thinking of some sort of circuit usuing my CTX DVD!

Jes...did you get your portraits done???

I'd recommend P90X to anyone. I think it is one of the BEST investments I have ever made. I got awesome results too!

Cathy...I bet the humidity is awful. Ours hasn't been too bad but I seem to remember it not even being humid here about 10 years ago...what's up with that??

Jane...I haven't done Gauntlet in awhile. I think I have more fun with the Viper on that DVD. Sorry about the humidity...

Tammy...have a good run. I'll be doing one too.

Wendy...sometimes you just don't get DOMS. It's not a bad thing at all!

Charlotte...leg curls on a machine are IMHO the best way to work your hamstrings.

Becky...I think lack of sleep can be the culprit! I get salty cravings when my sleep is messed up. I bet you'll be back on track in no time...

Kristine...in Imax3 the one that I can never finish is the one with the plie jacks. My thighs are normally screaming...

I am doing some Freestyle leg exercises, the ankle weight section of L&G, a 6 mile run. abs and Chest & Back.

Hi everyone, today is KENPO P90x and a segment of Core Max.Cathy I am sure you will enjoy the P90X. It is a great series. I do the pull ups using the bands I ordered by Beach Body. Lorajc I like the vieoclips of P90 MASTER SERIES too.Have a great day everybody.

I did an 8 min. taebo followed by a 32 min. of an advance taebo tape with cooldown. Nice quick workout. Have to clean out a room of plaster and lath so we can put drywall on the walls and move ourselves back into that room(which is our bedroom) and out of our new kitchen addition so it can be finished. sigh. It is a neverending process in our house with this ongoing renovation.:eek:

Not Cathy, but I workout without air conditioning and the humidity is really bad here. Cathy and I both live in PA and I am thankful I got my workout in early today!!:D
 
Hi everyone,

I'm running late so here's another quick post.

Did 35min on the elliptical this morning, followed by PS-chest, shoulders and triceps and finished with KPC abs.

I'm not really looking forward to my new job as it's not the kind of job I want, but if you haven't got a job, you take what you can get, right? Besides, they pay me better then my old employer did. To motivate me, I bought myself 4 new outfits to go with my new job :) different shades of green for trousers, top and jacket, different shades of pink for trousers and blouse, black trousers and bright green blouse, grey trousers and bright blue top. As you can tell, I like colours. And you should know the people I'm going to work with (all middle aged men) were wearing these type of beige trousers plus beige shirt and some dark colour tie. And they were not wearing uniforms :-( All overweight and by my first impression, all waiting to move to the old folks home..... A touch of colour and my happy face should make their day.... or week... or maybe whole year }(

Major DOMS from GS chest and GS Leg-standing yesterday. Back from 10 day vacation and I'm paying :-(
Anyway I will struggle thru GS Triceps and GS Leg floorwork this am and try step heat tonight. The humidity has broken so it should be alot nicer working out. Have a wonderful day everyone:)

Okay , am back to report that even though I didn't finish my cardio this morning, I went out and cut the grass, which is one hour of pushing, so I guess I made up for it!!!:) It's very hot and muggy out there too, not pleasant, but I feel like I got a very good workout!

Carole, thank you for the info, about sleep affecting diet like that. It certainly makes sense!! Tonight I will tell dh and dd both that if I am wanting a snack, they gotta be FIRM and it's fruit or yogurt ONLY!!!! :p I wish you guys were all at my house when I start getting weak and want to hit the M&M's and nacho's and cheese!!! I can just picture being tackled and held to the floor by a few of you!!!!}( :p And sometimes thats exactly what I need.
I ask DH to "remind" me not to snack at night and he says he will, then when the time comes, he says stuff like "You can afford to", "one time won't hurt you"!!!!!!!!!! ack!!!!!!!!!!
Not much support there!!
He means well, and I don't have to lose weight but at 42, I also know how easy it is to put on , and hard to take off and I am just trying hard to stay where I am and add defintion and muscle!
I think I sort of went off on a tangent there. Sorry about that.:*

Haven't been on much lately as I'm on vacation this week. Lots of running around outside:)

Dutchie - I'm so happy to see you back! Good luck on the new job. What will you be doing?

Yesterday I did Kickmax in its entirety and I also did the 72 drop set of push-ups from GS C&T.

Today is Lowmax and I'll throw in KPC abs for good measure.:)

DD is having a meltdown this morning. She's not much fun to be around. Yelling and storming around and giving me huge attitude. Blargh.
